Veterans Day

If not for those who fought for our freedom, we would not have the privilege to freely express ourselves and debate openly.

Thank you very much.

Amen to that.
I have a buddy that was shot up so bad in VN, they put him in a body bag. Someone noticed movement in the bag and took him out and evacuated him to the medics.

Danny Robinson, Virginia, my hero. 3 Purple Hearts and Bronze Star...still kicking.

I have called him every Veterans Day since 1976 after I left Virginia.

I just got off the phone with someone who means a lot to me and told him thank you. Thank you to all who comment on here too, that have served.

Wolf, send our blessings to your son.

While I'm at it, just wanted to say you are doing a good job, HD. I pray whatever is going on with Blogger that all goes well.

Thanks Reader. I spoke with Blogger a couple of weeks ago and he was doing much better.

I'd like to add my thanks to all the vets. I have quite a few friends who have served and know what a sacrifice it is. It is one of my great regrets to have not served -- I nearly went in after high school. Took the ASVAB with a couple of friends who both joined, but I decided to go to college instead. One is still in the service, the other did a 4 year stint. Both are Persian Gulf veterans. I have several uncles and colleagues who were Vietnam vets. All I can do is say thanks -- and teach my kids to also be thankful.
