I Agree With Morris on Libya

MORRIS ON MISSION CREEP IN LIBYA

Morris nails the situation as it is now but he leaves out some context. He laments being the "policemen of the world" but we are whether we like it or not. Libya was going to be a problem no matter what. Strong decisive leadership in the very early stages when Gaddafi was on the ropes would have ended this before it started. Letting Europe be the police of the world doesn't work. Neither does allowing the spread of radical Islam. Unless the Middle East is transformed we are doomed.

I stand by my belief that clandestine operations better suit us for the this job. CIA and Special Ops. Bring everyone else home.

I can't disagree with you Blogger. The best thing would have been to have had the special ops in place and steering the process before the uprising. We should have had Lybians ready to fill the void before the radicals did. When the paradigm shifted after Egypt's uprising we should have pounced... hard. And be done.

The worst scenario is what we have, an aimless quagmire that Qadaffi will survive after we've spent blood and treasure.

With Obama running the show we should probably pull out and let the world go to hell in a hand basket.

He's causing enough trouble over here for us. If he is successful in his efforts to destroy American superiority then the world doesn't stand a chance anyway.

It's becoming a matter of survival. Plant a garden.

Blogger and Conservatives

"CIA and Special Ops. "

Who has power over the CIA and Special Ops?

What's the role of the CIA and Special Ops in a free society?

There may be times this is the best option on rare occasions but I don't think you can call yourself supporters of freedom free society and a Democracy using this as a foreign policy.

I don't want the Koch Brothers doing Special Ops in American politics and I'm sure smaller democracies don't want the American government dictating their lives with Special Ops.

The CIA and Special Ops are not always the good guys or on the side of freedom or justice.

Are you the same conservative that want government out of YOUR lives?

How do you have transparency with CIA and Special Ops activatives.

What ever the answer is, this is not it.

Please list the examples you are to which you are referring.

You will have to ask Obama, but do not hold your breath. Nothing has been transparent in his administration.

What is your opinion about Obama as he is now involved in three wars, instead of getting us out of the first two?

Blogger, maybe you need to be on the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Your opinion of how to handle the situation is the tactic that just killed Bin Laden.
