Is a board-certified psychologist and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in his profession. Ministered as a chaplain, and pastored Baptist and Episcopal churches. An Intergovernmental Retreat will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  Watauga County Board of Commissioners, Beech Mountain Town Council, Blowing Rock Town Council, Boone Town Council, Seven Devils Town Council,  and Appalachian  State  University  (ASU)  Representatives will be in attendance. The meeting will be held in the Broyhill Room at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, Appalachian State University, Boone, North Carolina. The Topic of  Discussion will be the economy.

I'd email you but I'm not seeing contact information anywhere, so I thought I'd just leave a comment and hopefully you can share this event with your readers!

Former NC Supreme Court Justice Bob Orr will be speaking at ASU on September 29th. Bob Orr is the head of the NC Institute for Constitutional Law, and he also ran for governor in 2008.

The presentation begins at 7 PM on September 29th in Room 114 of Belk Library on campus. The event is free and parking is available at the College Street Parking Deck, which is adjacent to the library.
