Wilkes County Dem Chair to Run Against Virginia Foxx

Winston Salem Journal (click here)

According to this recent article in the Winston Salem Journal,  Wilkes County Democrat Party Chairman Treva Johnson, is resigning her position with the party in order to run in the 2012 election against Virginia Foxx.

She will likely face primary challengers ...

Congresswoman Foxx won her last election by a two to one margin and remains very popular among the majority conservative voters in the fifth district. The newly realigned fifth will probably result in a lower margin of victory for her, but chances are she will retain her seat for as long as she wants it!
