Vent Page XXXIV .....IT'S A MIRACLE!

Who woulda thunk it?! THIRTY FOUR vent pages! It's an internet miracle!

Whenever the number of posts on a vent page make it cumbersome to navigate, a new vent page is started. This is number THIRTY FOUR  in our series and we're still going strong!

VENT PAGES are handy for posting of off-topic posts, rants, raves, rages, etc which might not be appropriate on other threads where adults are having serious discussions. Childish rant? Need to call another poster a name?Just feel like spouting off? Or even if you have something to say and there doesn't seem to be any other logical place to say it....THIS PAGE IS FOR YOU!!

Of course we could also recognize the number 34 which was proudly worn by Georgia's Hershel Walker during his college career and by NFL Stars Earl Campbell and Walter Payton! Some of the great.

Of less interest perhaps is the fact that
34 is the ninth distinct semi prime  and has four divisors  including unity and itself. Its neighbors, 33 and 35, also are distinct semiprimes, having four divisors each, and 34 is the smallest number to be surrounded by numbers with the same number of divisors as it has. It is also in the first cluster of three distinct semiprimes, being within 33, 34, 35; the next such cluster of semiprimes is 85, 86, 87.
It is the ninth Fibonnici number  and a companion Pell number. . Since it is an odd-indexed Fibonacci number, 34 is a Markinof number appearing in solutions with other Fibonacci numbers, such as (1, 13, 34), (1, 34, 89), etc.

Isn't that interesting?

I've been reading about the sterilization program in NC that took place from 1933 to 1970's. I wondered who the governors were during that time...seems majority were democrats and only two republicans. Ignorance in both parties.

(AP) WASHINGTON — First lady Michelle Obama is challenging assertions she's forcefully imposed her will on White House aides, saying she's tired of people portraying her as "some kind of angry black woman."

Nancy Reagan accused of the same. Hillary accused, rightfully so, of the same thing.
Michelle accused of it.... racism. The First Lady of Race baiting.

Romney certainly looks like he will get the nomination. This will insure Obama a second term. Seventy per cent of Republicans do not want him. There is no way enough of them will hold their noses and vote for him for him to be elected. This will happen for sure if Paul or anyone else runs third party.

The only hope is if Rick and Newt reach and agree for one to drop out, endorse the other, and accept the VP position. This is not likely to happen.

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes- If 70% of the Republicans didn't want Mitt, what percentage of Republicans didn't want Newt? And still don't. If Mitt is the one picked by the most Republicans, probably a clean hardcore Conservative would be the best choice for VP. Newt has more baggage than LOUIS VUITTON.

guy faulkes said...

My poit is that the anti Mitt vote is being spread among several people. If this happens, Mitt gets the nomination and Obama goes in. I think more people could stomach Newt than could Mitt. I know i can even though I think Newt is an establishment Republican that is not a good candidate. He is just not an Obama clone as is Mitt.

It does not matter. Neither is going to drop out and endorse thee e other.

Sarkazein said...

I still see more liberal big government traits in Newt than I do Mitt. I like to listen to Newt talk and explain things. Right now I am pulling for Santorum to pull some miracle off or for Dick Armey to somehow get into it. One thing I can promise is I won't vote for Obama, I won't not vote, and I won't vote for a Johnny come lately third Party candidate that sat on his thumbs too long to make a difference (unless they can show great success in the polls early on). And I won't support a third Party candidate that was rebuffed in the primary by the voters.

Sarkazein said...

Santorum's kin in Italy were Red Communists. This could help him in the general election to win some Democrat votes.

"Of course, Newt is beginning to sound like he's part of those Zuccotti Park drum circles..."- Jack

Yeah, now all he has to do is rape, rob, use a park as his toilet, assault the police, spread disease, not work, do drugs, stink, and he's there.

Sarkazein said...

To add to Jack's comment about Newt and his becoming part of Zuccotti Park drum circles...

Newt would have to accept Communism over the US Constitution, vandalize buildings, be supported by Obama and Pelosi, join a union, and pierce something.

The only way the Tea Party will hurt the Republicans is if Romney gets teh nomination. A lot of the Tea Party thinks like I do.

Not sure what Jack's point is...if he has one. Every book will eventually run its course and run out of steam. This particular book was the 5th best selling non fiction book of 2010. Now it's 2012 and demand has slackened.

I haven't read it, don't intend to, don't desire to....but it hardly a condemnation of the author that the market eventually became saturated.

"After the talk, out of earshot from the soldiers and diplomats, he starts to complain. He starts to act very un-Obamalike, according to a U.S. embassy official
who helped organize the trip in Baghdad.
He’s asked to go out to take a few more pictures with soldiers and embassy staffers. He’s asked to sign copies of his book. “He didn’t want to take pictures with any more soldiers; he was complaining about it,” a State Department official tells me. “Look, I was excited to meet him. I wanted to like him. Let’s just say the scales fell from my
eyes after I did. These are people over here who’ve been fighting the war, or working every day for the war effort, and he didn’t want to take f@#*$%^& pictures with them?"-The Operator

Obama made US Marines urinate on the bodies of dead Taliban terrorists. That's the way it works now right? A precedent has been set.

Learned Elder said...

It's Hussein Obama's fault that the soldiers urinated on the Afghans. The Commander in Chief must take responsiblity. I bet he won't apologize over this now that he has something that can actually be apologized for.

Does anyone know why the High Country Press has not been publishing lately?

Their last issue was before Christmas? I hope it's just a holiday sabbatical - to me, they are the best of the local print media!

Mike D. said...

I really got a kick out of this.

I hope you do as well. Happy MLK weekend, all.

Mike...John Oliver is great! Although I admit that I think it's funnier when he is directing his humor at "them" instead of "us"!

Thanks for posting this! It's a little bit like Obama preaching "unity" while also telling Republicans that they must go to the back of the bus!

Reminded me too of the hypocrisy of the National Organization Of Women when they stumbled around finding some way to support Clinton during the Lewinsky affair! Apparently it's only "wrong" when the other side engages in it!

Any of you stupid libertards want a go of it? Oh..wait....I forgot, you idiots can't post anymore due to broken record syndrome. LOL! What a bunch of dimwits.

Mike D. said...

Rico,

You, of all people, ought to stand in defense of those who get censored and kicked off a site. Have you forgotten all the complaining you did over the similar treatment you faced on another site? There is nothing wrong with consistency. You should look into it! :-P

Welcome back, by the way. I've missed having a kid to intellectually overwhelm. Hehe. Missed you.

“It is unfortunate that early press reports incorrectly stated that there was a consensus for Santorum, or that the ’150 leaders endorsed Santorum.’ Such was not the case. Many there were and still are for Newt Gingrich,” said a statement issued Monday by J.C. Watts,

Mike D. Regarding your response to JR about the POV. We have been posting for five years now on this blog. POV has been with us nearly from the get-go. There have been several thousand posts with thousands more of comments. In all that time, we have asked only him to leave. And this was only after years of pleading with him to stop trying to destroy the blog.

Your comment made it sound like blocking people was standard procedure on this blog. It is not. As conservatives, we are 100% confident in our beliefs so we have no reason to censor.

NewGuy said...

I will ask again.....

Does anyone know why the High Country Press has not been publishing lately?

Mike D. said...

Blogger,

I was just kidding around with Rico. I'm glad to see him back. We give each other a hard time, but it's all in good fun. I know this blog is open and resists censorship. I meant no offense. :-)

Anonymous said...

Blogger, the other blog says this blog is a bad for censoring as they are. I tried to post a comment saying that the only person every banned from this blog was Liberal POV after he broke his word that he would stop posting when asked.

Guess What? The comment was censored!! :-)

NewGuy said...

Anon....there are no "reviews" of posts before they are posted. As soon as you hit "publish", your comment is posted.

The ONLY exception is if our spam filter identifies your post as spam. This does happen occasionally and, when it does, the post goes to a spam folder. Blogger and I periodically check the spam folder and move any "non spam" posts to the main page.

We rarely remove any posts (other than from our favorite troll) but, on rare occasions, someone will post a personal remark about a private citizen by name. which we do edit out. We have cautioned against this in the header to this blog.

I think we have had one of those in the past 6 months or so - and that was very recently.

Blogger said...

Anon "Guess What? The comment was censored!!" That was funny. Thanks for sharing.

How about a comparison of contributors to presidential candidates?

Here's the un-redacted charts:

Interesting that the great anti capitalist Obama had huge donations from Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan Chase, Citigroup, UBS AG, and Morgan Stanley.

And interesting that Obama got 3 times as much from Goldman Sachs as Bush got.

I remember posting something about Obama's contributions from Wall Street on the other marxist blog and they got all bent out of shape.

Which is fine as I think they should get bent.

Good to see you Mike D. You may be more tactically adept, but I'm more strategically superior. And stategy over the long term always trumps tactics. LOL!

Johnny Rico said...

The reason Watauga Watch censors is because of me. I took over that blogging site several times over a three year period. Unlike the Liberal Socialist Sheep POVs, I did it with arguements that I could, and did back up. It got to the point where Williamsom's liberal slant was being exposed as invalid. Of course he couldn't have that so he did what any good socialist/Nazi/Communist would do - censor posts for 100% agreement. Reminds one of Red China.

I do miss the days of hammering Shylock (Shyster), Tricycle Lard (a real idiot),POV and the other twits. Too bad they are afraid to come over here where they can discussions take place in a free, open atmosphere. I suppose that's the very reason they don't - the words "open" and "free" are anathema to socialists. LOL!

Johny Rico said...

Mike,

He was not my friend. He wanted to tear this country down and was unpatriotic to the core as are most socialists. As per your wishes though, I'll try not to deride him any further as he's unable to defend himself at this point (not that he ever was).

New school can’t be Cougars because middle-aged women might be offended
By Cameron Smith |
Students at a new Utah high school are facing disappointment after their choice for a new school mascot was rejected for one of the strangest reasons possible: Board members deemed it might be seen as offensive to middle-aged women.

NewGuy said...

Sark..How stupid is that?

Do you suppose the San Francisco football fans have offended 49 Year old women because their team is the 49ers?

You have to feel sorry for the real (cat) cougars who have carried that name forever but who now must contend with being confused with horny middle aged women!
