While I am pretty much a reliably Republican voter, I have never voted a 100% straight Republican ticket. This primary - offering as it does the non partisan school board choices - will be no exception.

I was looking, in particular for those candidates who might express the idea that we should look at more efficency in our school system, not just more money!
One who is at least open to other means of financing...."Try to increase funding in education with fundraisers, kind of like Chick-fil-A spirit night they do for each school. Look into other states that have used other programs that have helped students grow, prosper......" (Brandon Petree)
Let's hope we can elect a school board that will look for ways to live within it's means, improve performance without raising costs, commit to improving our schools within the budget instead of lobbying for more money, and, most of all, let's get a board that runs the schools, not the other way around!
This Primary Election will be an important one - it will be the last chance for one candidate.
