About a year ago, I posted the below about an ASU professor who brought a group of students to a BOC Meeting to lobby for a "living wage" for Boone...
<"Just some random thoughts on today's meeting and a small piece of news (or two)
1. A comment to the professor who remained seated while everyone else in
the room stood and pledged allegiance to the flag. I want you to know
that I strongly support your right to sit there while others salute the
flag. I also support your right to burn the flag, spit on it, or engage
in any other act of disrepect to our flag or our country as you want to.
I am sure others on this board will agree with me.
Just as I am sure that you and others will respect my right to form my
opinions of you based on the actions or lack of actions I observe in
you. It is unfortunate that you are in a position to influence young,
impressionable minds as you are...and particularly so that you do so at
taxpayer expense. But, as I said, I respect your rights."
Today, when I read THIS ARTICLE on GoBlueRidge.Net concerning her recent activity, I couldn't help but wonder about this STATE EMPLOYEE who refused to stand in respect for others who were pledging allegiance to their country and is now apparently showing pornographic films to her students. This is what our tax dollars are supporting!

Typical professor. You know it absolutley killed ASU leadership to do it, but in this case they probably had no choice. For every one of these dolts fired, a thousand more do just the same every day. Let's hope she's denied welfare, food stamps and all public assistance as well.

These liberal professors work for liberal colleges who make money off students. How come colleges aren't considered corporations by Occupy Wall Street hippies and other liberal degenerates? Funny, a stupid liberal will pay 100,000 for a generic 4 year degree and not complain, yet over that same period 5,000 dollars of gas is criminal. WTF? What a bunch of dolting idiots the fringe left liberals really are.
Extremist corporations that would hire a professor like the one fired at ASU are the real problem here folks. Wake up!!
Any extremist liberal feel like some literary jousting this fine Friday night? It gets lonely being at the top all them time. Sad kinda too. Perhaps one of you slug degenerate racists would like to prove your worth (LOL) on the field. How bout it?
Dear old Rainsford perhaps?
Or maybe Shylock
Or maybe the idiot broken record POV

At his point she has not been fired...she is apparently on a paid suspension (Administrative leave)...
My bet is that ASU will end up doing nothing.
How is pornography not an appropriate topic for study in a sociology class? These are all adults, right? Porn is an industry that generates over 10 billion dollars a year in this country alone. Shouldn't it be studied by someone?
Campfire,
Idiot. So you're a porn supporter now? Fantastic. Legal prostitution in Colombia is a big money maker too. With this in mind, your saying the 6 pre-madonna Secret Service idiots shouldn't have been fired? Expound on this for us, please.
This ought to be interesting......

Johnny, the professor was reprimanded for not warning the students about the upcoming, possibly offensive material.
It was a film about the porn industry, not a pornographic film itself. Plus, it was part of a sociology course. The film was part of the university's library to begin with, for Pete's sake.
And I believe you meant prima Donna and not pre-Madonna (pre-1958?)
George,
Watch the trailer for the movie. It is rated adult and contains pornographic scenes. The professor was wrong to show this film without warning. I know the type -- a student that might have asked for an alternative would have been identified by the professor, who most likely, like so many liberals, would adopt a disrespectful and condescending tone for the "prudish, ignorant religios" student. Why do you assume in your post that all adults would be okay with viewing pornography? If a person chooses not to watch pornography in their own life, why should they have to in a college sociology class that they are paying for? And if the point was to discuss the negative impacts of pornography on society, why can that conversation not take place without actually viewing pornography?
The left certainly supports strange causes.
One banned leftist poster supported pedophilia, voter intimidation, and terrorism.
This one is apparently a supporter of pornography and forcing private businesses to conform to her wage criteria.
When you add this to the fact many of them are rabid in their support of murdering unborn babies because women are not responsible enough to practice abstinence or birth control, the pattern of lunacy becomes glaringly apparent.
Why do you assume in your post that all adults would be okay with viewing pornography? --Nobody
When in the world did I say that!? Please kindly keep your pathetic projections to yourself.
George,
Sorry, it was Brushfire who made the comment, "These are all adults." I mistakenly attributed that to you, since both of you seem to be supporting the professor. The "pathetic projection" comment was uncalled for. Would you agree that the video IS inappropriate for viewing in a classroom without warning or offering an alternative assignment? Would you agree that a discussion regarding the damaging effects of pornography can take place without actually having to view pornography? You are the one who said, "It was a film about the porn industry, not a pornographic film itself." If you need to see what I'm talking about, the video she showed was titled, "Price of Pleasure." You can google it -- there's a webpage for the video that identifies the rating as "Adult" and has a trailer.
Nobody, I agree with you on all those points. No doubt at all. I was responding to Johnny's over-dramatization of the documentary, which has educational value, versus showing an unedited pornographic movie, which does not.
Perhaps Johnny was just being a "pre-madonna".
George,
No, your wrong in supporting the liberal professor as usual. The professsor showed porn in her class. Period. In addition to showing porn, this liberal socialist sheep of a professor made disparaging remarks about male athletes.
Like most liberals, this professor engages in race baiting. Classifying male athletes into a certain category is stereotyping; a strong form of discrimination. Hitler, before killing them, first stereotyped Jews and others to turn public tide against them. Same for the liberal socialist sheep of a lemming professor.
She went so far this time that liberal faculty at ASU had no recourse but to suspend her. I'm sure it hurt their souls to do so, but let's hope she is summarily fired and her pension taken away. Treason should be treated harshly. Don't you think? LOL!!

Stings don't it
First, it's "you're" not "your". If you are (you're) going to claim intellectual superiority over the huddled liberal masses, at least have the fortitude to use proper grammar.
Second, I never claimed to support the professor in her decision to spring pornographic material on her students without warning (I believe we agree on this point).
Stop being such a "pre-madonna"
George,
Is this all you-ins can come back with? This is it? LOL! Once again I have befuddled, intimidated, and won the day. It was easy, let me assure you. Dealing with a lot of idiots is (yawn) always entertaining and always easy, often to the point of bordom.
The liberal professor is paying the price for showing porn to her students and for degrading male athletes as some inferior class of individuals. Let's hope she, and thousands more like her, are fired and denied government aid of any sort. Great stuff!!!!!

*boredom
You once again prove my point. LOL! Your ole pal

I take issue with the class of ADULTS because if all ASU students are adults then why is it policy not to publish names of adult students who break the law on campus?
Good point Anonymous.
Also, if they were adults, then it would only be logical for them to have the means to defend themselves on campus. They may be adults off campus, but are not considered so on campus because the argument against concealed carry on campus is that the students are not mature enough to do so. Therefore no one can carry as the discrimination factor would sink the argument if non students could carry.
There is absolutely no logic in disarming adults on a college campus when they can legally carry one foot off of campus.
George,
It's good to see the liberal activist professor on suspension isn't it? She showed porn to the class and is paying the price for it as well as her comments towards athletes. Funny how a liberal says stereotyping is racial and then they stereotype. What a bunch of hypocrites.
Looks like we shut your down on this post George. It was easy, let me assure you. LOL!!

Looks like the liberals socialist sheep didn't want any more to do with this thread. Facts and logical reasoning get them every time! LOL!!

This professor who refused to stand in respect of those saluting our flag in a county commission meeting, is now complaining about her "rights" being violated.
Ironic. Would those be the "rights" provided by our " One nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all"?

When a serious allegation is made, the most appropriate course of action for the administration to take is to place the individual on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation.
The on line Watauga Democrat has a good article today about this case. Predictably, all the liberals have jumped in to support the professor. Remember how, when the allegations were made against Duke Lacrosse players, all the liberal professors at Duke jumped in and insisted that these student athletes continue in school until the allegations were proven? Don't remember that?
That's because it didn't happen.
Call me silly, but I'm perfectly fine with the notion of withholding judgement until a full investigation is completed. I realize that might sound ridiculous to knee-jerk activists, jaded academics, paranoid conspiracy theorists and general opponents of "The Man," but I can live with that.
Administrative leave in order to have time to investigate a matter is not a rush to judgement. It is quite the contrary.
