Zimmerman is being charged with 2nd degree murder....

I wonder if the DOJ will continue to "investigate" the civil rights case as well?

Johnny Rico said...

Zimmerman will be tried in a Kangaroo Court intent on placating racists like Sharpton and Jackson. Zimmerman's liberty is in grave danger now, and he will have an uphill battle against Hussein Obama, Eric Holder and the State of Florida. A disgrace to arrest Zimmerman for defending himself.

This may be Zimmerman's problem. If not criminal, definitely civil liability. The Texas penal code concerning carrying a concealed weapon says you cannot carry your weapon if you are going somewhere knowing you are likely going to get into an argument with someone. If you carry while you are going somewhere to intentionally confront someone, and you end up shooting that person/persons, even in self-defence, you can be charged with murder. The point in the law is-- if you know there is a reasonable chance of a fight, either don't go or go unarmed. I don't know if this is in the Florida penal code. But, the prosecutors will try to show Zimmerman, while armed, at his own choosing, put himself in a confrontational situation. They will try and show he was not, at the time, protecting another's life or property. In Texas, the charge could be first degree murder. Most Neighborhood Watch organizations forbid armed volunteers and are 'observe and report' only.

There have many black teenagers killed by other Blacks for their sneakers or a look or a few dollars. No outrage from Sharpton or Jackass or Tyson.

Rush made an interesting statement today. As Zimmerman turned himself in, he qualifies for the bounty put on his head by the Black Panthers.

Brushfire said...

Is anyone seriously saying that Zimmerman shouldn't be arrested?

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- Catch up. He's already been arrested.

Sarkazein said...

Even on FOX this morning, the coverage of Mr Zimmerman's bond hearing shows Mr Zimmerman in shackles and jail garb and surrounded by Deputies. The pictures on split screen showed Trayvon as a 12 year old little angel, not the gang banger thug look he had at the time.
I don't know if Mr Zimmerman ever got a Grand Jury hearing. Did the governor place the special prosecutor in place of the Grand Jury? If he did, it could have only been from social pressure, making it an unfair legal process for Mr Zimmerman.

Brushfire said...

Sark - I know he is arrested. Do you seriously have a problem with that?

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- You are missing the point. There is always an investigation in a death of this kind. But, someone chose to skip the normal Grand Jury route and give it to a Special Prosecutor. It is you who is obviously pre-judging in this case. Just as the media and the race baiters did and are doing. The trial for second degree will judge if there was a murder or not. Just because someone died at someone else's hand, does not mean murder. They even took Mr Zimmerman in, in handcuffs, during the investigation. The police, unless they witnessed it themselves, can only go by the witnesses if any and the evidence at the time they are there. Then the investigation starts. IF you thought that because Mr Zimmerman was not placed under arrest for the murder of Trayvon that minute, you are unfamiliar with criminal arrest and prosecution.... a lot.
You are fishing, because of your preconceived misconceptions, for a vigilantly mentality here. All you've actually done is shown your extreme prejudice against a Mexican-American minority. And your prejudice concerning the events for which you know little about the facts of what happened that night.
Please send me the non-existant link showing Mr Zimmerman "confessed to a murder". I'll be happy to post a link to the legal definition of murder for you.

Let me ask Brushfire a question-- If you were having your head bashed into the concrete repeatedly, knowing you were about to lose consciousness and you believed the person bashing your head into the concrete was capable of killing you, would you want a bystander to blow him/her away (if they didn't have the physical strength to wrestle him/her off you) or would you prefer to die. Would you NOT want to see your family again or be able to share your comments with me because you were killed from a crushed skull?

Please don't consider the Zimmerman case in your answer, lets say the head basher was an evil middle aged white man dressed in cammies. Lets say you had approached the evil white man for allowing his dog to make a deposit on your front lawn or the evil middle aged white man was making cat calls at you.

brushfire said...

Sark - You never did answer the question. Do you believe there should have been an arrest and a THOROUGH investigation as soon as the police found an unarmed teenager dead on the ground and an adult male standing over him with a smoking gun?

If you can answer that question I will respond to the rest of your reply. Pretty much either yes or no.

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- No

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- clarification: arrest no.... thorough investigation yes. In a death case, a thorough investigation is days or weeks or months, not one shift.

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- Read a fellow HUGE liberal and HUGE civil rights lawyer

Brushfire said...

Sark - If this idiot is running around, stalking and killing unarmed teenagers on the street in broad daylight, is't it possible he represents a danger to the rest of us?

As for your question: I would NOT want anyone ( except for a highly trained professional) shooting at some guy on top of me. I would be as likely to get hit as the perp.

The reason so many of us were so upset with the justice system in Trayvon's death, is that the crazy guy, who was clearly on record as stalking this kid, and then killing him, was allowed to go free on nothing more than his unsupported word. And there was no full on investigation at the time. Much of the forensic evidence was lost or destroyed. What's more, there was no interest in exploring the possibility that this guy was guilty of cold-blooded murder. Why wasn't Trayvon allowed to stand his ground? How would you feel if your child were killed walking home from the store, and no arrests or investigation made for over a month later?

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- Sorry, I thought you had something. That's why a gave you a one word answer. Go back and read your last comment. Little of it is true and most of it is humorous.

The one that made me laugh the most was-- the only wanting a well trained individual to stop the evil middle aged white man from bashing your brains out on the concrete. That is either stupidity or a lie. Sorry, there are no other choices. The rest of your comment is just drivel. I was truly hoping you had something, I like reading an opposing view.

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- The "reason" "so many of you" were upset is because you were hood-winked by race baiters and driven by raw emotion. Your comment proves it.

Brushfire said...

Sark- Can you dispense with the mindless insults for awhile and point out exactly what part of my statement was untrue? Sorry you did't care for my answer to your hypothetical scenario. Why don't you answer mine? How would you feel if your child had been stalked and shot to death on his way home from the store, and no arrest or investigation made almost two months later?

Sarkazein said...

Lie or gross exaggeration:"Sark - If this idiot is running around, stalking and killing unarmed teenagers on the street in broad daylight, is't it possible he represents a danger to the rest of us? "
There were many 17 year olds on death row before the ban. In WW2, there were 17 year old soldiers, there are tens of thousands of 17 year olds in criminal gangs, there are thousands of 17 year olds in prison for aggravated rape and other assaults. According to witnesses Travon was beating/defeating Mr Zimmerman in the fight.
Let me see if I have this right... you wouldn't think YOUR life was worth saving unless it was done by a qualified person and if a 6' 17 year old is bashing your head into the concrete, he gets a pass because boys will be boys.

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire screams- "Help Help he's killing me!". Blood is pooling in her eyes as she feels life slipping away.

A handsome stranger hears the screams. He sees the evil middle aged white man atop the gasping woman.
He says- "Lady, I would like to help you, but I am not highly qualified even though I am armed with a Smith & Wesson 38 special with a factory installed laser guide. Would you like me to tell your family anything for you, any last words?. I've called the highly qualified police, and they should be here within 12 minutes. He's pounding your head at a rate of 40 beats per minute. If you can hold out for another 480 head slams, a highly qualified person will be here....hello hello... mam can you hear me?. Sir, you dropped your Skittles."

brushfire said...

Sark - Can you provide a link to an unbiased account describing the witness to the attack? To the best of my knowledge, the closest thing to a witness is the girlfriend he was talking to as he walked home. Her account is that he told her he was being stalked and was trying to walk faster to get away before he was pushed by someone. We also have the 911 calls with the voice of someone screaming for help in the background. According to U.S.News the voice heard crying for help was not Zimmerman's.
So what we know is this. An unarmed young man walking home from the store was stalked by an older man in a car, who got out of the car and started to approach the young man.A witness who was on the phone with the victim recounts that the young man was afraid of the older man and trying to get away. Screams( evidently the young man) were heard and recorded. The young man ended up dead. The killer walked free for almost two months.
Are you disputing any of those facts?
How would you feel if your son were killed as he walked home from the store, and the killer walked free with no apparent attempt to investigate or challenge his account of the killing?

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- You are getting waaaaay off the subject of YOUR question. "Should he have been arrested at the scene?"

My answer to that question is technical, not emotional.
What would they have charged him with? The cops did not witness it and Mr Zimmerman did not confess to murder. No witness said they saw Mr Zimmerman shoot. The cops would have had to arrest him for something other than murder. You act as though they cleared him. They didn't. They did not have cause for an arrest. Not emotionally speaking, legally speaking.

My son carries a Glock 9mm concealed. I only worry about him shooting himself in the leg.

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- Your news of the account appears to be from NBC.
Let all the facts get in. Let there be a trial since there was no Grand Jury. You should be upset about the unfair treatment Mr Zimmerman is getting from the press and the poverty pimps.
Why has Holder not filed on the New Black Panthers for placing a $10K hit contract on Mr Zimmerman?

Sarkazein said...

Brushfire- Were you as quick to call Ted Kennedy a murderer? No autopsy, only the word of a drunken sot after he slept on it and visited with his lawyers... then reported it while wearing a shyster brace around his neck.
Were you as quick to call Clinton a rapist or a flasher or a molester? No? Then why Mr Zimmerman?

Sarkazein said...

There have been multiple stories in the news about groups of Blacks beating up non-Blacks in the name of Trayvon. Where are the poverty pimps like Jackass, Sharpton and Obama?

guy fauleks said...

I worry about your son also, Sark. Can you not convince him to carry a 1911? :-)

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes- He wants to carry a 1911. Harris County Sheriff only allows the old salts to carry a 1911. The Glock he likes for concealed carry. I am more accurate with a Glock than any other handgun for some reason and I don't own one, and don't want one.

He is at that stage of his career when he changes his mind on his guns whenever someone else brags about theirs. I bought him a 40 Springfield XD for his duty gun because that, at the time, was the one he had to have. Now he's wanting to drop to 9mm.

guy faulkes said...

I point shoot high with a Glock, slightly less high with a Springfield, and point shoot fairly well with a 1911. I do not know if this is because of how the various grip angles fit my hand or the MANY years I have used the 1911. You can teach an old dog new tricks, but you may have to beat him, and I do not need the pain of reconditioning myself to a different style of gun.

Why does he want to go from the .40 to a 9mm? Is it due to the cost of practice ammo? I really like the .40.

Wolf's Head said...

Guy forgets to mention his hands are big as King Kong's, which affects his grip. NORMAL people don't have as much of a problem I think.

My Pa is the only one I've ever seen with hands bigger than Guy's. As a kid I always thought he could crush coconuts with them, one in each hand.

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes- 1911 concealed carry? Is that the shorter barrel 1911?

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes- Yes, it is the price of the ammo. He realizes he is going to have to start buying his own.

Sarkazein, I am not sure if it has been asked before here, but why does someone from TX have such a concern in Boone's or N.C.'s politics in general ?

guy faulkes said...

I carry everything from a full size Para Ordinance to a P12 which has a 3.5 inch barrel, Sark.

Anonymous why do you care where Sark is from? Do you think being a Texan disqualifies him from the right to an opinion? Does the same apply to Jesse Jackson when he leaves his home sate?

Sarkazein said...

Anonymous- Liberalism ia a disease and spreads to all states. What happens in NC will probably happen eventually in Texas, Virginia, or Florida. If State US Congressman and US Senators passed laws only pertaining to their own state, it would be less of a problem. If NC liberals attack gun rights in NC, eventually or perhaps beforehand Texas liberals will try the same.

Sarkazein said...

Anonymous- I rarely comment on NC local issues. The post here (this thread) is a Florida happening. Why are you commenting?

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes- I carried a Para-Ordinace P-16 I think. 1911 style 40 cal 16 or 16-1. I think they quit making them. But, it was a little heavy to carry except on "special" occasions.

Sarkazein said...

Oh, that Para-ordinace is was available in NC and TX... and FLA .

guy faulkes said...

Sark

They still make the P16. This .40 is one of my carry choices in an alloy frame. It is a little long for an inside the pants holster when sitting, but is comfortable enough to wear all day.

They quit making the P12. Their new model is called the warthog and is a subcompact .45 that holds 10 rounds. The P12 has a heavy trigger and you have to replace the recoil spring about every 100 rounds to insure reliability. These are drawbacks that are offset by its being the perfect size for a carry gun, at least for me. The grip is large enough to fit my hand and the barrel short enough not to pose problems when using an inside the pants holster when sitting.

I could probably carry a cannon concealed as I am a long way from petite, both vertically and horizontally.

Anonymous- This blog is about 24 to 36 hours ahead of the cable news networks with posted stories and links and comments from other commenters. What is talked about on this blog is heard the next day on RUSH, then the next day or that night on FOX or CNN. I haven't found a better one. I guess HD has.
