Biden will be heading the WH push for gun control. He's such a F-up, nothing will happen except that in the meantime more gun sale records will be broken. Imagine all the new Biden quotes on the way.
Common sense and the Constitution are under full fledged attack. The liberals were waiting on something like this to happen; they're dancing in the blood of the Connecticut victims. Sad how they can't wait to exploit tradgedy after tradgedy. I remember distinctly how liberal pov said Jared Laughtner was a Tea Party representative mere hours after Giffords was shot. Laughtner was in fact a dyed in the wool liberal socialist.
At any rate, establishment Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats are ready to cave on the gun issue. Joe Manchin in West Virginia couldn't switch positions quick enough. Mark Warner (Republican) of Virginia has done the same. My bet is John McCain will come out against assault weapons any day now. The Democrats will exploit this tradgedy to circumvent the Constitution and take YOUR rights away. Will they succeed?
My bet is yes. Conservatives are so lackluster and disorganized that they will probably allow dolts like pov, matt, happily dumb, and the usual cast of village idiots to strip their rights without so much as a wimper. Sort of like what happened during the election. Sort of like what happened when Blowing Rock decided to take your 2nd Amendment Rights away.
The interesting part is the liberals are not doing this in secret any longer. They come right out and tell you what they intend to do - and they DO IT.
Republicans, on the other hand, maintain status quo. They do this in hopes of winning re-election by not taking rights away like Democrats. With this status quo mentality, they are also taking rights away by not doing anything. Republicans have held the NC Legislature for over 2 years now. I can't think of how those bumbling idiots have increased my freedoms at all. They sit there doing NOTHING. Republicans - start DOING SOMETHING!!!!! It's that simple! Increase freedoms and give the people some protection from future ursurpations.
I'm glad Dicks Sporting Goods is pulling semi-autos from shelves. This increases the customer base for mom and pop gun shops. Same thing for Wal Mart - Hope they do the politically correct thing (again) which will help main street gun shops sell more guns.
Gun control is not the issue right now folks. Taking your liberty is. You are going to lose YOUR freedoms over the decline of social morality in America. A lack of discipline, no work ethic, and poor parenting of children is beginning to show. I've said it for many years now, and now it's coming to fruition.
These types of events will continue to take place as our society erodes morally and ethically. Folks turn from Christianity into chaos. Strange how this type of thing didn't happen when guns were easily available and folks went to church.
Before 1968, one could buy a gun through the mail. No mass shootings that I can remember. Before that, one could buy machine guns and silencers in hardware stores (along with dynamite). No problems.
Now, with strict gun control and folks turning away from God, we have mass shootings. Funny how the media never mentions the morality aspect. Then again, why should they - your freedom will be taken by deceit.
In the upcoming gun control debate, establishment Republicans will seal the fate of the already declining Republican Party. Their capitulation will not gain them any votes. The turning point is upon us.

JR- It appears these shooters stop and/or kill themselves at the first sign of resistance. The concealed carry holder in Oregon never fired because he couldn't get a clear shot but the shooter swallowed his next bullet. To shoot innocent unarmed humans, the shooter being insane or evil or both, he also must be a coward at heart. Cowards fold when resisted strong enough.
The Columbine shooters killed themselves, but the SWAT teams there were bigger cowards than the shooters, so was the first deputy that saw them and hid behind his car until the "SWATless" teams got there.
The Luby's shooter in Texas used two pistols and reloaded many times wounding 50, killing 23. But no none there had a gun. The Texas Shall Issue drive started then. He killed himself after running to hide in the restroom when police arrived.

Rico, there was the law in Kennesaw, Georgia that required every household to own a gun. The crime rate fell 89%.
Anonymous, I beleive Sark is referring to the historical context of unarmed victims and tyrannical governments. Do you consider Bull Halsey's statement “Before we're done with them, the Japanese language will be spoken only in Hell!” to be racist? Do you even know who Halsey was? Was the attack on Pearl Harbor racist?
Another example would be the Holocaust and the lesson of the Warsaw ghetto. Are you aware the concentration camps also held homosexuals as well as political dissidents?

We even have examples in this country. Have you ever heard of the Bonus Army where the United States Government attacked unarmed veterans. How about using tanks on children at Waco and shooting a mother holding a baby at Ruby Ridge?

I've been screaming at establishment Republitards for three years now to just DO SOMETHING!! The reason I've been doing this is highlighted by the Sandy Hook tradgedy. Our rights might well be taken away by ONE EVENT, by ONE knee jerk reaction, by ONE MAN (hussein obama).
Had republicans strenghtened our freedoms over the past 3 years, we might not have such an uphill battle right now. Oh no, that was asking too much of the status quo party. Republicans simply withhold the inevitable for a little longer instead of battling it. Republicans had a grand chance to do something under the liberal Bush administration but instead squandered the opportunity just like they did under Bush senior. ALL other Democratic administrations since then have pounced and taken even more rights away.
And conservatives have let them. By now you would think we would see at least a few conservatives on the streetcorner with a bullhorn wailing about lost rights or higher taxes. Not a peep. The NRA broke its silence and called for armed guards at schools. The nest step is to add getting rid of gun free school zones so that parents and teachers can protect the children as well as themselves in these current zones that are only safe for criminals.
The NRA gave a decent speech today. They did pretty well considering the liberal media is so heavily stacked against them that no matter what they say, it will be construed in a negative way.
And we weren't disappointed. The lamestream media pounced immediately taking out of context everything Wayne LaPierre said. The left's hate is almost palpable. They are really whipping themselves into a frenzy. Cuomo is calling for outright confiscation while many liberal sheep are calling for NRA members to be shot.
Funny how a non NRA member, who was mentally ill, who broke many laws (including murder which happens to be illegal) is somehow a defacto representative for the NRA. How the liberals make this jump is beyond recognition. Then again, they passed a health care tax without first reading it. The left will stop at nothing to push Americans into servitude. My hope is they keep up the weird attacks on gun owning Americans. It might hurt them in the end. In fact, Democrat Joe Manchin just dialed back his calls for an assault weapons ban because he doesn't want to be identified with Piers Morgan or any of the other extremists. If the media will only keep spinning irrational article after irrational article, perhaps it will wake a few people up.

I re-joined the NRA today. I really didn't want to, because the NRA, like establishment Republicans, is too soft and oriented towards the liberal mindset. It just so happens however, they are bearing the brunt of the liberals vicious attacks. That alone is good reason to rejoin.
As long as the NRA is a focal point for unreasoned, extremist, unrestrained, and irrational attacks by an emboldened left, then I'll stay a member.
But for a real, no compromise gun rights group, the Gun Owners of America (GOA) can't be beat. Alan Gottileb, leader of GOA, pounds liberals, poor NRA performance, and politicians like no other. In fact, when King, NC banned guns during a state of emergency (the very time one needs a gun), GOA took NC to court and won!! Join GOA if you want to effect positive change (change that establishment republitards should've been giving us all along).
Gun Owners of America is everything the NRA wants to be. Join the NRA too because it pisses a liberal off, but GOA is where you make up ground.

I empathize with you, Rico. I have been fighting this battle for longer than most people have been alive. The only advise I can give you is to never give up, no matter how burned out you become. The goal for the left is to cause good people to do that very thing.

Sark, one is never disqualified from voting (or not voting) the way he wants, unless he is a convicted felon. Just because I am more conservative than you in some areas does not disqualify me.
Anyway, I was correct in my prediction he was not electable because the base would not support him. Three million less votes than even McCain proved me right.
You have a good point about the left destroying their guns. It is not just the liberal leadership, however. I would not hold my breath until the union thugs, the New Black Panthers, the illegal aliens, and the OWS crowd did it.

I wrote you are disqualified from being able to say you were right about Romney's chances of winning since you participated in his defeat. You possibly have the company of three million others... un-indicted co-conspirators, as you say.
To go by that logic, one would have to conclude the 3,001 "Patriots" who helped Obama beat Romney by not voting for Romney are a lot more "deader" than the "establishment Republicans" because they couldn't even muster up a candidate that could beat Romney much less Romney and Obama as a Third Party candidate.
Perhaps The Neutral Party could be established as a none of the above voter's Party. Then the people who thought Obama was not liberal enough and the people who thought Romney was not Conservative enough could at least combine and have a convention every four years. The Neutral Party could also include those who thought the Republican candidate was too conservative and those who thought Democrat candidate was too liberal, and chose to not vote or vote for neither. This could be a huge political party with no candidate.
If they had no candidate, it would still have been superior to the two we had to choose from. However, If there are three parties, they will be three candidates.
I know you are living up to your blog name, but the three parties will be the liberal(probably called the Democrat party) the moderate (probably called the Republican party) and the conservative party(yet to be formed, much less named.) It make take several more defeats for the Republicans before the new party forms.

The 3000,001 patriots had their shot during the primaries. Rather than support a Hermain Cain or Ron Paul or Bachman, they got lazy. There were other choices that would've beaten hussein obama for sure. Establishment republicans however, couldn't bring themselves to upset the status quo party with something radical like 999. Yet the liberals were full of radical ideas like obamacare, fast and furious, Petreas' affair, Bengazi, etc.
Instead of fighting fire with more fire, establishment republicans ran the most liberal, uninteresting candidate they could - Romney. Although I hoped he would win, I couldn't bring myself to vote for him. I would've voted for Hermain Cain or Bachman or Ron Paul. Faulks called it. I did vote in the Republican primaries however.
Conservatives have become fat and lazy. Hell, they were too apathetic to vote Allen West back into office! West is probably the most conservative candidate we've seen since hero Jesse Helms was in office. How could Allen West NOT be voted into office? Apathy caused West to lose. Now we are faced with this same kind of apathy on a national level.
A few true patriots are trying to make a difference - you and Faulks fall into this category, but the rest are either too stupid, apathetic, or lazy to come to your aid. I have more respect for liberals right now than reticent conservatives. To allow liberals to run amuck like they are now is breathtaking. It's almost like conservatives want to be controlled.

Faulks, you are correct. Many, many liberals call for the banning of high capacity magazines or semi-autos, yet they see no reason to give up their weapons.
Did you know Diane Feinstien has a concealed carry permit in California. Yet she calls for in home confiscations of weapons! This same hypocrisy plays out each year with liberals. This shows us the gun issue is simply a smokescreen for control. They want control. Guns are a simple path to gain that control. Gun control = people control.

JR- NO, the other Republic candidates had their shot during the primaries. None could beat Romney. THEY either dropped out (quit) or proved their ineffectiveness (not a great qualifier for the Office). Paul could never muster more than a few percentage points. What was Romney supposed to do, spot the others a few point? How do you know the 3,000,000 "Patriots" didn't stay home during the primaries? There is no way to tell who did what. The only thing we know is not enough people voted for Romney and Obama won. Perhaps Obama will appoint Ron Paul to Secretary of Defense if Michael Moore won't take the job because of the salary cut.
You are correct Sark. The Republican candidates all had a shot to beat Romney. They could not. He was to liberal for them, or at least a huge number of them as per their own statements, to support in the general election, so he could not beat Obama.
Neither side is going the change. The Republican party is dead as a viable national option until there is a third party.
Please note that in states where the Republicans actually ran conservatives (such as North Carolina), they did much better. This should be a lesson for the party in its choice of national candidates, but it won't.

Jonnny there have been 248,446 pages visited since beginning. Last month 8,381 pages were visited. The past fore weeks, we had 2573 visitors with 1042 who were new. They are out there reading you, they just are letting you do the heavy lifting.
One commenter said today, you could hear the members of the press gasp when Lapierre of the NRA said we need armed guards in schools. If any one should gasp it should be that all day today we have media people wringing their hands in shocked disbelief and at the same time ridiculing and demonizing Lapierre. He said, the way to stop bad guys from using guns is to have good guys with guns. As I have said over and over on this blog, it is liberals’ refusal to face there is real evil in this world That failure leads to solutions such as taking away everyone’s gun, and asking everyone to be nice and love one another.
Of course the big task will be to have creative ways to fund guards. One way would be to fold existing jobs into one. For example, maybe there could be one less coach or even coaches who have gun training serve during the day and coach after school. Maybe there would be ex-military or retired law enforcement who are not too proud to be a guard during the day and then clean the school after hours.
We definitely don’t want to be like liberals who think up an idea and then don’t even care if we have to borrow from China to fund it. Anyway, anyone out there with ideas of how to fund this?
While the stories of guns, mags and ammo selling at a frantic pace is no longer anecdotal it must give Feinstein sh7tfits that her push to ban these things has resulted in tens, if not hundreds of thousands, of the guns being sold along with their magazines and millions of rounds of ammo.

With over a thousand new visitors to this site over the past 4 weeks, I would think that at least a few dozen conservatives would take up the fight. It needs no funding. All it takes is allowing teachers that wish to be trained to be armed and doing the same with a rotating force of volunteer parents willing to stand guard. Of course you would have to get rid of the gun frees crime friendly zone that that is of which a school now exists.
I have become convinced many liberals would rather let children die. This is terrible to say, but it is true. My tolerance for uppity has worn thin.
Volunteers are free. And all the cash we spend in Afghanistan. A small amount of that would fund armed cops on overtime for an entire year.

My wife teaches at a large college here in NC, and has received several threats this semester alone.
As many of her students are middle aged adults, often with sketchy backgrounds,such as drug abuse, such threats are to be taken seriously.
However, the "enlightened, caring, civilized" lefties REFUSE to allow her to exercise her right to protect herself.

Common sense and the Constitution are under full fledged attack. The liberals were waiting on something like this to happen; they're dancing in the blood of the Connecticut victims. Mark Warner (Republican) of Virginia has done the same. My bet is John McCain will come out against assault weapons any day now. The Democrats will exploit this tradgedy to circumvent the Constitution and take YOUR rights away. Will they succeed?
My bet is yes. Conservatives are so lackluster and disorganized that they will probably allow dolts like pov, matt, happily dumb, and the usual cast of village idiots to strip their rights without so much as a wimper. JR- It appears these shooters stop and/or kill themselves at the first sign of resistance. The concealed carry holder in Oregon never fired because he couldn't get a clear shot but the shooter swallowed his next bullet. To shoot innocent unarmed humans, the shooter being insane or evil or both, he also must be a coward at heart. Cowards fold when resisted strong enough.
The Columbine shooters killed themselves, but the SWAT teams there were bigger cowards than the shooters, so was the first deputy that saw them and hid behind his car until the "SWATless" teams got there.

The NRA broke its silence and called for armed guards at schools. The nest step is to add getting rid of gun free school zones so that parents and teachers can protect the children as well as themselves in these current zones that are only safe for criminals.
The NRA gave a decent speech today. They did pretty well considering the liberal media is so heavily stacked against them that no matter what they say, it will be construed in a negative way.
And we weren't disappointed. The lamestream media pounced immediately taking out of context everything Wayne LaPierre said. The left's hate is almost palpable. They are really whipping themselves into a frenzy. Cuomo is calling for outright confiscation while many liberal sheep are calling for NRA members to be shot.
Funny how a non NRA member, who was mentally ill, who broke many laws (including murder which happens to be illegal) is somehow a defacto representative for the NRA. How the liberals make this jump is beyond recognition. Then again, they passed a health care tax without first reading it. The left will stop at nothing to push Americans into servitude. My hope is they keep up the weird attacks on gun owning Americans. It might hurt them in the end. In fact, Democrat Joe Manchin just dialed back his calls for an assault weapons ban because he doesn't want to be identified with Piers Morgan or any of the other extremists. If the media will only keep spinning irrational article after irrational article, perhaps it will wake a few people up.

I re-joined the NRA today. I really didn't want to, because the NRA, like establishment Republicans, is too soft and oriented towards the liberal mindset. It just so happens however, they are bearing the brunt of the liberals vicious attacks. That alone is good reason to rejoin.
As long as the NRA is a focal point for unreasoned, extremist, unrestrained, and irrational attacks by an emboldened left, then I'll stay a member.
But for a real, no compromise gun rights group, the Gun Owners of America (GOA) can't be beat. Alan Gottileb, leader of GOA, pounds liberals, poor NRA performance, and politicians like no other. In fact, when King, NC banned guns during a state of emergency (the very time one needs a gun), GOA took NC to court and won!! Join GOA if you want to effect positive change (change that establishment republitards should've been giving us all along).
Gun Owners of America is everything the NRA wants to be. Join the NRA too because it pisses a liberal off, but GOA is where you make up ground.

Anyway, I was correct in my prediction he was not electable because the base would not support him. Three million less votes than even McCain proved me right.

The Neutral Party could also include those who thought the Republican candidate was too conservative and those who thought Democrat candidate was too liberal, and chose to not vote or vote for neither. This could be a huge political party with no candidate.
If they had no candidate, it would still have been superior to the two we had to choose from. However, If there are three parties, they will be three candidates.
I know you are living up to your blog name, but the three parties will be the liberal(probably called the Democrat party) the moderate (probably called the Republican party) and the conservative party(yet to be formed, much less named.) The 3000,001 patriots had their shot during the primaries. Rather than support a Hermain Cain or Ron Paul or Bachman, they got lazy. There were other choices that would've beaten hussein obama for sure. Establishment republicans however, couldn't bring themselves to upset the status quo party with something radical like 999. Yet the liberals were full of radical ideas like obamacare, fast and furious, Petreas' affair, Bengazi, etc.

Did you know Diane Feinstien has a concealed carry permit in California. Yet she calls for in home confiscations of weapons! This same hypocrisy plays out each year with liberals. JR- NO, the other Republic candidates had their shot during the primaries. None could beat Romney. THEY either dropped out (quit) or proved their ineffectiveness (not a great qualifier for the Office). Paul could never muster more than a few percentage points. What was Romney supposed to do, spot the others a few point? How do you know the 3,000,000 "Patriots" didn't stay home during the primaries? There is no way to tell who did what. The only thing we know is not enough people voted for Romney and Obama won.
Perhaps Obama will appoint Ron Paul to Secretary of Defense if Michael Moore won't take the job because of the salary cut.

You are correct Sark. The Republican candidates all had a shot to beat Romney. They could not. He was to liberal for them, or at least a huge number of them as per their own statements, to support in the general election, so he could not beat Obama.
Neither side is going the change. The Republican party is dead as a viable national option until there is a third party.
Please note that in states where the Republicans actually ran conservatives (such as North Carolina), they did much better. This should be a lesson for the party in its choice of national candidates, but it won't.

Jonnny there have been 248,446 pages visited since beginning. Last month 8,381 pages were visited. The past fore weeks, we had 2573 visitors with 1042 who were new. They are out there reading you, they just are letting you do the heavy lifting.
One commenter said today, you could hear the members of the press gasp when Lapierre of the NRA said we need armed guards in schools. If any one should gasp it should be that all day today we have media people wringing their hands in shocked disbelief and at the same time ridiculing and demonizing Lapierre. He said, the way to stop bad guys from using guns is to have good guys with guns. As I have said over and over on this blog, it is liberals’ refusal to face there is real evil in this world That failure leads to solutions such as taking away everyone’s gun, and asking everyone to be nice and love one another.
Of course the big task will be to have creative ways to fund guards. One way would be to fold existing jobs into one. For example, maybe there could be one less coach or even coaches who have gun training serve during the day and coach after school. Maybe there would be ex-military or retired law enforcement who are not too proud to be a guard during the day and then clean the school after hours.
We definitely don’t want to be like liberals who think up an idea and then don’t even care if we have to borrow from China to fund it. Anyway, anyone out there with ideas of how to fund this?

It needs no funding. All it takes is allowing teachers that wish to be trained to be armed and doing the same with a rotating force of volunteer parents willing to stand guard. Of course you would have to get rid of the gun frees crime friendly zone that that is of which a school now exists.
I have become convinced many liberals would rather let children die. This is terrible to say, but it is true. My tolerance for uppity has worn thin.
Volunteers are free. And all the cash we spend in Afghanistan. A small amount of that would fund armed cops on overtime for an entire year.
Let's get this straight. We pay illegla aliens welfare and medical costs, yet we say it will cost too much to protect American schoolchildren. The schoolchildren in Watauga County are an example. Illegal alien gang members threatened violence against Watauga County schoolchildren this year. Liberal sheriff len hagaman and watauga county commissioners wouldn't say a peep. America, you are being taken to the cleaners.
My wife teaches at a large college here in NC, and has received several threats this semester alone.
As many of her students are middle aged adults, often with sketchy backgrounds,such as drug abuse, such threats are to be taken seriously.
However, the "enlightened, caring, civilized" lefties REFUSE to allow her to exercise her right to protect herself.
It's time to ell the elected politicians and their bureaucratic minions that THEY WORK FOR US. That means they don't tell us what rights we have, we tell THEM.

In a way, it may be just what we need, MILLIONS of Americans defying the government and NOT registering or turning in their weapons. It's past time we stopped obeying this government that will not stop in taking our liberty and our prosperity.

Another telling point is the left encourages us to ignore immigration law but would want us to obey an unconstitutional gun law. Apparently the rule of law is subjective only if they say it is.

The following letter, written by U.S. Marine Joshua Boston and headlined “No ma’am.,” was posted in the CNN iReport on Dec. 27 with the included note from the producer and photo. It has struck a nerve with many and is being circulated around social media venues like Twitter and Facebook.
Senator Dianne Feinstein,
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
