What do you have against justice and equality? Don't you have grand children? How do you know one of them won't need the new LBGT civil rights protection?

How is your own personal life different after the new rulings giving expanded liberty and freedom to fellow LBGT citizens?

Why do conservatives feel to be patriotic or "Good Christians" they must be assholes to fellow citizens?

Don’t fuss at me. The same-sex decision gave civil rights to a few. At the same time it undermined Biblical marriage. Marriage is the first thing in Genesis and the last thing in Revelation. God has told us that He will rain judgement on the whole earth at some point. I do not know if He cares about His rainbow sign or not. If I were you though, just in case, you might want to start storing food and water. But at least you know you won't have to build an ark.

Kentucky clerk of court continues to refuse to issue marriage licenses. Even though gay couples (and others) could obtain a marriage license in dozens of other locations, they have intentionally targeted this one clerk to compel her to do something that she sincerely believes goes against her religion. She has been ordered by a Federal Court judge, a Federal appeals court, and now, through their inaction by choosing not to hear her case, the Supreme Court. She still refuses. Now THAT is a stand for her religious freedom! What does the ACLU want now:

"The ACLU said they do not compel her compliance through incarceration, but instead they urge the court to impose financial penalties "sufficiently serious" to compel her immediate compliance without further delay."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/31/politics/kentucky-gay-marriage-licenses-supreme-court/index.html

Don't send her to jail -- she might become a sympathetic figure and martyr to draw attention to the FACT that Christians are being hunted down by the fanatic gay lobby and hounded and persecuted out of their businesses, out of any type of public office and out of sight. No, impose "serious" financial penalties -- bankrupt her, take her home, starve her family, make her SUFFER, because she refuses to bow down to the new religious orthodoxy of the liberals - homosexuality and sexual perversion. And Anonymous above doesn't see this as being "assholes" to other people; no, it's the Christian who, more than anything else, just wants to be left alone and allowed to actually LIVE by their religious beliefs. Where is the "justice" for the religious person? Where is the "equality" for the Christian? It does not exist.

Watch this video on gay marriage, wedding cakes and Muslim bakeries:

http://louderwithcrowder.com/hidden-camera-gay-wedding-cake-at-muslim-bakery/

Understand the difference between baking a birthday cake of a gay person (most Christian bakers would do this) versus baking a wedding cake for a gay wedding (a celebration of something most Christians would consider a sinful act/lifestyle, and a Christian would not want to be seen as condoning through their efforts/talents/produce)? Of course you do! But saying to a Christian, "Hey, I understand you're uncomfortable with this -- I'll get my cake for the HUNDREDS of other bakers that don't have a problem" IS NOT something liberals and the radical gay activists will do. This is and always has been about forcing compliance; submission; modification of beliefs. Ostracize the religious idiots -- they're too stupid to be a part of the brave new liberal nirvana we are in the process of creating. But don't take on the Muslim bakers yet -- they'll cut off your head! Obviously, there are Muslim bakeries. And obviously, they would refuse to bake a cake for a gay wedding too. So why haven't we heard about a gay couple going into a Muslim bakery and then suing when they get denied? They're targeting Christians -- when will they target Muslims?

I think everyone should play their own personal "God Card" and not abide by, or enforce any of the laws that are contrary to their belief. Divine guidance is Divine guidance no matter who the divinity is.

Wait a minute, how is this different than the imposition of Sharia law?

Ishmael said...

Democratic Rex,
You are a total moron. Asking not to be compelled to do something that goes against your own religious belief is nothing like forcing everyone around you to live by your beliefs. The only way your comparison would work would be if Christians were stoning and killing gays for being gay -- you know, like Muslims are doing now in the Middle East. The fact that this had to be explained to you only demonstrates your unlimited stupidity. WATCH THE VIDEO I LINKED ABOVE. I know you don't like to actually open your mind and consider other viewpoints, but try it this once. You might learn something.

Ishmael said...

And certain people were making assurances that legalized gay marriage would have no impact on religious persons when the debate was raging. Goes to show how far you can trust a liberal...

The United States of American is NOT a Theocracy!
Your biblical comment "At the same time it undermined Biblical marriage. Marriage is the first thing in Genesis and the last thing in Revelation " has no place in our discussion of US Constitutional law, human rights, civil rights or justice.

America has religious freedom and you CANNOT legally force your personal interpretation or belief on fellow citizens who have a basic human right to their own religious beliefs or have none at all.
We are not Iran.

"Asking not to be compelled to do something that goes against your own religious belief is nothing like forcing everyone around you to live by your beliefs. "

When a magistrate forgoes the law and insinuates her personal superstition/beliefs, you are forcing everyone to conform to your superstition/beliefs.

Ishmael said...

But now, the radical homosexual lobby is imposing THEIR religious beliefs on Christians. This is not a GAY theocracy, even though idiot liberals like you seem to want one. If you don't like the religious discussion here on this blog, don't post or read here!

DRex, the point is that the gay couples had options and could go to other clerks who WERE issuing licenses. They intentionally TARGETED this clerk because of her religious beliefs. The intolerant ones in this and many other situations like it are the gays and the liberals. There is no room for dissent on the homosexual issue in the liberal mind. It is the liberals and gays who are forcing others to conform to their beliefs. You are too stupid to see it. See all of my post above. Keep posting so everyone can see how stupid you are. Did you watch the video linked above???

Blogger,
Is this some kind of experiment on your part? To see if the number of comments increase when you mention the gay marriage issue? If so, I think it worked! By the way, you seem to have changed from your earlier statement that you have accepted that gay marriage is a "civil rights issue" or am I misreading the post?

In my 4:12 comment I came down on both sides. That is because I accept that we are no longer a Christian nation so we cannot impose our laws on others. At the same time I do believe with our founder George Washington."The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right that heaven itself hath ordained". Biblical marriage was order heaven ordained.

No Nobody it is not an experiment. I really don't know how God feels about taking His sacred symbol of judgment, the rainbow, and co-opting it for a new religion. Sometime however, we are going to add that last straw, and He will decide enough is enough.

God appears to approve.

Gentlemen, there seems to be some confusion as to the origin and science of a rainbow. Allow me to elucidate:

"A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun."

No mention of God's providence, just science, and so forth.

Sarkazein said...

You would think Obama would have the White House lighted BLUE in honor of the thin blue line.... no?

Hey! Riley Martin IS still alive! He ran away from the last conversation he was a part of like a frightened child. Never answered hard questions, just, poof! disappeared.

I believe you were ridiculing the Republican field, and I asked you to tell us whether or not you support Billary. Care to answer now? Let's see, right now your side has Billary, Bernie "Socialist" Sanders, and Martin "Does-anyone-know-I'm-running" O'Malley. Which of these current Democratic candidates do you currently support?

Riley Martin said...

My good woman, don't you have bigger problems deciding whom to pick on your side of the ledger than worrying your pretty little head over my choice? One thing is for sure my dear, whoever I pick from the democratic choices, will be the President of the United States. But then, you already know that.

Blogger said...

Sorry to disappoint you Riley but history is not on your side

Riley Martin said...

We will see.

Sarkazein said...

Now that is a real partisan. It doesn't matter who it is or what it is (socialist, un-indicted co-conspirator) just as long as it is a Democrat.

Sarkazein said...

Known best by the American people as a "liar"... doesn't matter, she has a D after her name. You would think after most the decades of Congress being ruled by Democrats, often with a Democrat President, that we would already have the Democrat utopia. We don't, because all the liberal Democrats still have all the same complaints.
Maybe this new thing of locking dissenters up will bring them their utopia after long last.

Riley - was that an answer? All the pissy attitude in the world cannot cover the fact that you are avoiding giving an answer to a rather simple question like Hillary avoids giving a real answer about her email server. Or Benghazi. Or the Clinton Foundation finances. LOL! I don't blame you for not giving an answer -- you're side is just pathetic right now. I mean, any party that is hopeful that a Biden can save them is in real trouble.

And I'm male, so like every other liberal, you're wrong about everything.

"just as long as it is a Democrat. "

http://townhall.com/columnists/michaelbrown/2015/09/04/what-we-learned-from-the-arrest-of-kim-davis-n2048059

Question: Was the Kentucky clerk arrested because she broke the law and didn't "do her job" by refusing to issue marriage licences to same sex couples? Was she arrested because she broke the law in doing so? If your answer is yes, then should Gavin Newsom, who issued gay marriage licences in San Francisco when it was illegal to do have been arrested and jailed? If you believe that the law should apply to everyone equally, then your answer should also be yes, but he was not. That's because the issue is not about breaking the law and "doing your job." It is about your beliefs and where you stand. Christianity and trying to live by your Christian beliefs will, today, land you in jail. Defying the law in favor of the new religion of homosexuality and sexual perversion will make you a hero. Defy the homosexual crusaders and you will be jailed, fined, hounded out of business and receive death threats. It's what I've predicted all along....happy? I'll bet HM is CELEBRATING the jailing of a Christian this week over this issue.

Ishmael said...

As far as that goes, should the current Attorney General and President Obama be arrested for not enforcing federal laws regarding marijuana sale and use in Colorado? Should they be jailed for not arresting and jailing city council members in sanctuary cities? If we are going to jail certain people for not "doing their jobs" and enforcing the laws, why not all of the them? Why are certain issues favored and others disregarded?

Blogger said...

Ishmael, I am having trouble with a new e mail system and didn't see your comment before I made today's post. You got it. What hypocrisy. On the same-sex issue it feels like there is some unnatural energy behind it.
