When The Administration is a JV Team

"Barack Obama’s repeated insistence that Bashar al Assad  must leave office – and that there are ‘moderate’ rebel groups in Syria capable of defeating him – has in recent years provoked quiet dissent, and even overt opposition, among some of the most senior officers on the Pentagon’s Joint Staff. Their criticism has focused on what they see as the administration’s fixation on Assad's  primary ally, Vladimir Putin. In their view, Obama is captive to Cold War thinking about Russia and China, and hasn’t adjusted his stance on Syria to the fact both countries share Washington’s anxiety about the spread of terrorism in and beyond Syria; like Washington, they believe that Islamic State must be stopped."

This article is so complex, I will just give you a quick introduction. For those of you like me who are history junkies, it will be well worth your time to study the whole thing.
Military to military

The story goes like this:
Knowing what happened when we felled middle eastern strong men, the military leaders believe that the fall of the Assad regime will lead to chaos. They also knew that many of the Syrian rebels Obama was arming would support ISIS as soon as they finished off Assad. Obama refused to listen.

So they went around him.

But first they had to find a way to stop the CIA from carrying through on Obama’s orders to arm the Syrian rebels. They did that through CIA"s pocket book by convincing the CIA that Turkey could do it cheaper (but with inferior equipment.) (By the way, as many of us suspected, that arming was out of Benghazi.).

Then our military leaders began sharing strategic information about the rebels with Assad. They did that through Russia and Israel. One of the constants in US affairs since the fall of the Soviet Union has been a military-to-military relationship with Russia.

The Joint Chiefs and the DIA were constantly telling Washington’s leadership of the jihadist threat in Syria, and of Turkey’s support for it. The message was never listened to. Why not?

(I am really looking forward until Obama is gone. Can you imagine the stories of what comes out from those people behind the scenes of how our government was saved from the totally unprepared Obama, Valerie Jarrett and Susan Rice? Some of it is now leaking out as the Secretaries of Defense bail out.)

Most people, even Democrats, believed Obama would need OJT because of his lack of experience. Some of us knew he was/is untrainable. He is the kind of employee on a 90 day probationary period of employment who would not be asked back for his 91st day because he has that dangerous combination of ignorance and arrogance.
He will use this article in his defense of his failures.

Except for the small fact that he was elected twice by a considerable margin. Happy Holidays.

Well maybe the morons who elected then re-elected him won't write him in on the next ballot and they will give the liar/molester enabler/un-indicted co-conspirator a chance.

America deserves exactly what Democrapus Perplexed's "president" is giving us right now. Get ready for round 2 when his next choice, Billary, gives it to us all long and hard.

Democratus Rex said...

If that's how you like it.

You mean rape? You advocate for rape or make jokes about it?

Democratus Rex said...

It was your metaphor. You consent, I suppose.

Democrapus Perplexed reminds me of Colorado State Senator (Democrat of course) Evie Hudak when she belittled rape victim Amanda Collins by stating that "statistics weren't on her side" when responding to Collins assertion that a gun might have helped prevent her rape. Hudak, like Democrapus Perplexed, realized that making fun of rape isn't a nice thing to do. Hudak went on to apologize saying: “My timing was not the best for making the point. I’m glad I had the opportunity to offer Amanda a sincere apology in a private conversation.” Rape is something liberals like Perplexed claim to care about - but only if it suits their agenda. Typical.

You remind me of someone who does not have an idea of what they are talking about, but act like they do. Do you have lights in the outhouse, or a candle? Just curious.

Democrapus Perplexed,

You remind me of a liberal socialist sheep trying to dodge an issue - again. You advocate that rape is ok. Did you advocate for draft dodgers to spit on returning vets during Vietnam. Did you advocate for Muslims to cheer when the twin towers were brought down? The overall picture of liberalism is one of ugly provocations. And you, as a liberal, support all of that? Those using an outhouse don't harbor such proclivities.

I was busy watching the Doomsday Preppers box set that Santa left.

Excellent. Too bad you can't watch a new episode anymore, even from an outhouse. And no one to date has been able to determine why Doomsday Preppers was cancelled. A conspiracy is brewing here for sure, but you'll never hear the truth.
