How They Did Things in the Big War

President Obama flew to Silicon Valley to plead and cajole high-tech CEOs to help counter cyber-attacks—rather than summoning them to Washington—they rejected his overtures out of hand.

For those of you too young to remember the way President Roosevelt handled CEOs who refused to cooperate with him in the war effort, take a look at this picture.

This is the CEO of Montgomery Ward being removed from his office.  Then Roosevelt just took over the company.

Blogger,

I was about to push back about the hypocrisy in the referencing of "dictator" for Obama given his use of executive orders (still less than any other 2 term president in the last century) and then chiding him for not "calling court" with the tech companies. Firstly, this is not a time of war. He is being a leader. In much the same way he is being a leader with Iran. The result of which is not only immediate disarmament, the immediate release of 10 sailors, but the further release of the remaining American hostages. It just occurs to me that this President will never do anything right in the minds of this blog's participants. You always have to complain and find something wrong. I wonder if any of you have the balls to say that something was actually done right by this man. Sark, you quipped earlier about the release of the sailors with the snappy retort - "what about the other hostages" What is your response now? The only person with big enough balls to actually admit something good happened is USSRY - but she would never. No one person does everything wrong or right - no one group - Republican or Democrat does everything wrong or right. This world is not black or white in that manner -= but maybe that's the issue.

Ransom paid!

Paid to a terrorist State. Did Obama include a bow with his apology?

Traitorous members of congress accepting bribes from a foreign country to influence legislation. Nary a peep from the righteous.

So it's OK to reward a terrorist State?

So its OK for members of Congress to commit treason by accepting bribes from foreign governments?

Currently, Oregon is a terrorist state.

Don't know about Congress, but sure seems fine for the Klintons to take foreign money.

Nary a peep from the self righteous left.

DRex- Without even looking I am going to guess Oregon has a Democrat governor. To be a terrorist State, it would have to be on the State Department's list and the governor/government would have to be involved. Your call.
I will grant you probably have no idea what a terrorist State is and your comment was just a rush to the blog to display your ignorance.

Annoyance 12:07 PM. I take it you are referring to something in particular without referencing it.

If Congress is doing what you say, which DoJ prosecutions? And thank you for conceding Obama is rewarding a terrorist State. I still want to know if the stories about Iran suppling IEDs to kill and maim out troops in IRAQ is fact. And why wasn't the billions sent to our VA if so?

Again, its OK for members of Congress to commit treason by accepting bribes from foreign governments?

OK Rainman... you win. It's not OK for Congress members to commit treason or accept bribes foreign or domestic. How's Lynch doing on her prosecutions?
