Pope vs Trump

The Pope, who lives in a walled city, declared yesterday that those of us who want to build a wall are not Christians. Trump and the rest of the candidates need to remind the Pope that even popes are not allowed to define who is or isn’t a Christian. Trump should then hold up his mama’s Bible and say, "This does."

Having the Pope attack you with such a biblically incorrect statement probably will help Trump. There are still a lot of Protestants who believe the Pope is the anti-Christ and would not be surprised that a pope doesn’t know the Bible.

It's great that the pope is helping God to decide who the real Christians are. I can't wait for him to rule on the Christianity of Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama who favor the murdering of children in the womb and, the Christianity of the Catholic priests who molest and rape young boys and the Bishops and other church higher-ups who cover up these crimes!

I am also curious about how many illegal immigrants are allowed to settle within the walled Vatican city. Are there bridges built over the walls? Can Muslims just sneak in and be allowed to stay there? Do they qualify for Vatican Welfare Benefits?

Go! Pope!

This whole dust-up wreaks to high Heaven of a twisted spin of a "gotcha" question, with bad data, asked by a reporter. The Pope handled it well yet the media took off like crazed banshees to make something of it that was never there. Shocking, right? This article from Fox does a decent job of explaining what really happened. And, yes, the attention Trump garners from this will only help help him, as long as he keeps his cool.

FloridaConservative- You are right in your take on the POPE vs TRUMP question. But it does show how the POPE is sitting on ready to insult America's sovereignty. He is a Leftist who seems to have learned nothing from the POPE who lived in Communist Poland.

Sark,

I'm not sure the Pope is a leftist. What do you have to support that? I would love to hear your comments on the matter.

Thanks,

Are you saying that global warming is a myth, or that is has no impact on man? As far as charity goes, that is a Biblical principal. Liberals don't own that one. The Pope encourages the Biblical principal of charity, but does not have the power to literally force it on anyone. Still no evidence of being a lefty in my view.

Sarkazein said...

FC- Not a myth, a hoax.

Where in the Bible does it say the government is supposed to provide charity?

Where does it say that the government shouldn't provide charity?

In every Mass, the celebrant indicates the blood and the bread. He lets the congregation know that this is the body and the blood given for them for their salvation. For all those who respond Amen, they are Christian. Acknowledging that you can do nothing to save your soul other than accepting what Jesus did for you on the cross–that is the Gospel–the good news. Martin Luther proclaimed “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works.” It took the Roman church a long time to admit Luther was right, but they finally did. However, you would never know that from this Pope.

Where does it say it MUST?

Where does it say that the gov't should steal from one citizen and give to another, or to someone outside the country altogether?

A perfect example of why government should not provide charity is abortions paid for with tax money... my tax money. The POPE is not pro-choice.

Fl Conservative; Many conservatives, myself included, are saying man-made global warming is a hoax, promoted primarily by left-wing environmentalists and other liberal advocates of paternalistic government who see climate change as a opportunity to impose economic controls on capitalistic free enterprise and individual liberty.

There is an abundance of persuasive scientific evidence and insightful political analysis available to discredit the alarmists, who invariably are leftists in favor of big government controls on the economy. Check out the web site of The Heartland Institute, a Chicago-based nonprofit think tank that is probably the best source of information debunking the claims of the global warming alarmists.

Sark,

I agree there is an element of hoax to global warming such as Al Gore classically purported in An Inconvenient Truth. However, there is strong science that we are warming gradually. The hoax comes in when it is said the problem is all man-made. For example, one volcanic eruption can put more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere than man could in 10 years. There's nothing to be done about that. All we can do is be responsible citizens and conserve where it is possible. But, we still have to live and function, so let's not go overboard in that matter (conservation). God created the Earth to handle everything it needs to until He deems otherwise. I don's believe He is up there biting his nails about global warming: neither should we.

As far as charity and government enforcement thereof, the Pope is not a government official. He is a religious leader. Except for using the bully pulpit, he has no ability to enforce his views on anyone. It is each individual's choice to take it or leave it.

I guess the bottom line on this is that when asked a loaded question about politics, the Pope might be better served to state, "No comment" or "I'll pray about that." This would be wisdom.

End of first paragraph should read, "I don't believe He is up there biting his nails about global warming: neither should we."

The Laurentian Great Lakes were formed nearly 20,000 years ago when the earth's climate warmed and the last glacial continental ice sheet retreated. The glacier, up to 2 miles thick, was so heavy and powerful it gouged out the earth's surface to create the lake basins. Meltwater from the retreating glacier filled the newly created basins. Approximately 3,500-4,000 years ago, the Great Lakes attained their modern levels and area.- NOAA

Pre-SUV Pre-coal and leaded gas. Climates change, always have always will as far as we know. The POPE's and others interest in the man-made global warming hoax is social/economic justice. Dallas was ocean front at one time. Big Bend was the ocean floor at one time.. now it's a desert. Dallas's and Big Bend's climates changed. Climate typically covers weather conditions over a ten year period... not for infinity. Why? Because climates change.

By the way, we just celebrated the 10 year anniversary of Algore's prediction of the Earth's demise he made ten years ago. He left the VP with a $2 million net worth. It's now $100 million and he has a new trophy girlfriend. Except for the new trophy girlfriend, the POPE would like to get in on the scam so he can feed the poor with other people's/country's money raised by the global warming taxes.

Sark,

Please try to stick to the facts of the thread. You are all over the road with your comments, albeit entertaining. Sure, Al Gore is yet another demoncratic adulterer with Elizabeth Keadle, joining the company of the likes of notorious douche-bags such as John Edwards and Bill Clinton. And, by the way, Al's net worth is more like $300 million. But, what does that have to do with the Pope being a leftist, which was my original question to you?

You still have not supported your argument that Pope Francis is a Leftist. Surely you can do better. I want to hear some solid backup to your claim the the Pope is a "Lefty" as you said.

Sarkazein said...

Anyone who espouses man made global warming and cuddles up with Algore is a Leftist.

Sarkazein said...

And by the way, the thread is supposed to be about "POPE vs TRUMP".

You're a greenhorn on this site. Act like it. Sark's commentary is always spot on, and what he says above is too. You attempt to occlude Sark's truth about leftist liberal sheep and the pope (notice lower case) when, in fact, he is not "all over the place" but exactly where he needs to be. The hypocrite pope is telling the masses that global warming is manmade. Leftists love this as it fits their narrative. The pope is merely, as Sark indicated, trying to get in on the prize money.

They are still trying to say the Pope did not say Trump was not a Christian. He said "“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel,” the Pope said Feb. 18. That's close enough for me. Every one knew who he was talking about. Again I remind my readers that "gospel" means "good news". I do not hear any good news in the Pope's statement. Building bridges is about doing good works. We are not made Christian through good works. Saying we do is to reject in God's face the work He did on the Cross for our salvation. The Pope has to know that.

I wouldn't have even thought about the POPE's comments if it weren't for the other Leftist thing.
