Yikes!! Dead Politicians Are Rising From the Grave!

Has anyone noticed that in the beginning we said "we have had it with politicians?" And, Trump a completely non-politician volunteered. We then killed off all the politicians--Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Jim Gilmore, Marco Rubio, Rick Perry, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, Lindsey Graham, George Pataki, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul, Chris Christie and Mitt Romney-- like we said we would.
But as JR often points out, we chicken. We kept one.
Now the dead, rising zombie-like, returning from the grave, are attaching themselves to the only one of their species still recognizable as one of themselves--the Ted.

You right. He's the only hope for conservatives. And a poor one at that.

If the establishment coalesces around Cruz then Cruz must be stopped.

I haven't liked Cruz, I can't give specifics other than a "gut feeling", but that is usually right.

Trump is not what we, the country, need but he is the best option to maybe, MAYBE take out the political establishment.

Sarkazein said...

It is official, this election cycle's "establishment" is anybody who's not for Trump.

If CRUZ is now called "establishment" then THIS election has become supernatural.

A guy who has bribed both sides for political access is not "establishment" but a hardcore conservative who pissed off everybody in the "establishment" (both sides) for doing what he said he would do during his campaign is "establishment".

I say pull back the 7' long combover and look for the 666, because something unnatural is going on, for sure.

On the female reporter thing, just for one thing, first Trump and his campaign manager denied it ever happened... she made it up they said. Now Trump is saying, she grabbed me, she had something in her hand and he didn't know what it was, she's knows she's not supposed to do that. NORMALLY, any reasonable Conservative person on this blog would find that peculiar. Not that someone was inappropriately grabbed, but the timeline of the way Trump handled it... the truthfulness. Come on, help me out here... do I have to face East and stare at the sun to understand this?

I didn't say that Cruz was establishment, but if the establishment, who hates Cruz, backs him then one must wonder who are they really afraid of?

Sarkazein said...

Or who do think Trump should NOT be the President. Why does it have to be that they are afraid of him?
This is what the primary is for, then most, not everyone, backs the winner. Still at this late date, there is no third party choice so it looks like the choice will be a Democrat or a Republican. Most will go one way or the other. It doesn't make them "establishment" to think Trump is not the guy for the job. Yet.

Sark if you get this thread off topic I will move it elsewhere. But for now I will respond here. I don't really get your point. If Trump had the experience I did, I watched it over and over and did not see what she charged. I do watch enough movies to know assassins use hyper dermic needles these days that look like fountain pins. I do know the secret service told her twice to back off. I do know Trumps man had police training and was serving like a body guard before the secret service was assigned. I also know that these things are happening at warp speed and takes time to get straight.

Sark I was answering about the reporter story

Blogger- My point is no one here seems to care about Trump's change in the story. Again, I can understand the over-zealousness of his manager. I just can't stand his and Trump's attempt to tear her down professionally. He does that to all who oppose him. The list is long. When you are a billionaire, it's called FU money. You don't need them and you can say anything you want about them. Obama has the same FU attitude. In Obama's case it is not caused by having FU money, it's caused by ignorance and arrogance. One's not better than the other. The divisions never heal.
My point is the reactions to Trump's actions is other than normal. The reactions here don't even allow for opposition (Ted's supporters) to Trump as they are "dead rising zombies".

It may be now that Trumps' campaign is, hopefully, beginning to show signs of unraveling. He really looked the fool last night in his face off with Chris Matthews. How stupid and arrogant of Trump to think he could successfully navigate a long interview, really a debate, with a slick, fast talking, professional liberal TV anchor like Matthews. The negative fall out from Trump's performance last night is being highlighted all over TV, the internet and social media this morning.

Latest polls show him trailing Cruz by a large margin in the Wisconsin GOP primary and trailing Hillary and Sanders by double digits in national head-to-head polling. More and more analysts are now suggesting a contested GOP convention with an "anybody but Trump" atmosphere. The well respected political analyst and forecaster Larry Sabato's latest analysis of electoral college outcomes shows Trump losing by large margins in electoral votes to Hillary or Sanders.

While Sabato is not quite suggesting a debacle similar to Goldwater's defeat in '64, his analysis does not preclude that possibility. These professional forecasts of huge losses if Trump is the nominee increase the resolve of anti Trump forces to work toward a contested convention in order to defeat Trump.

I have no doubt that the divisive GOP nomination contest will cause the Party to lose the Presidential race this fall whether Cruz or Trump is the nominee. My only hope is that Cruz at the head of the ticket can hold the conservative coalition together well enough to save the Senate for the GOP, keep states like NC under GOP control, and prevent dramatic conservative losses in the U.S. House of representatives.

Sarkazein said...

I have no idea on who can defeat who in the general election. Trump could win in a landslide or not. Cruz could win or not.
I am just intrigued by the Trump phenomena.

Cyclops said...

Sark, there are a few nonpartisan national political analysts who have a pretty good track record forecasting election outcomes, especially if the election is rout. Stu Rothenburg and Larry Sabato are nationally recognized for predicting winners. They are both predicting a big GOP loss next November with Trump as the nominee.

Now it is true conditions can change before the election, and these guys will adjust their forecasts based on changing circumstances. But if they are still predicting a disaster for the GOP in July prior to the convention, there will be a huge effort to deny Trump the nomination. Republican leaders and most of the convention delegates are not fools and they don't want to suffer a catastrophic defeat next November.

Cyclips,

Enlighten us as to what Republican you think can win the White House. This ought to be interesting.......

JR said; Enlighten us as to what Republican can win the White House.

At this point, probably none. Earlier, I thought there was hope for Rubio and Scott Walker, but both blew it in the debates. Kasich could still do it against Hillary, but he won't get the nomination. At this point, the best Republicans can hope for the GOP is to salvage control of the Senate, minimize losses in the House, and maintain control in states like NC. Tell us, JR, will you support the re election of Governor McCrory?

Johnny Rico said...

Cyclops,

Wow, thanks for answering - that was refreshing.

To answer your question,no, I will not support the re-election of the liberal socialist sheep of a dolt named McCrory. Republicans in the NC Legislature, as I've noted many times, are status quo liberal politicians. While Republican Legislatures in other states, elected by Tea Party Conservatives such as myself, are actually gaining a few rights back (Constitutional Carry), that is not the case here in blue North Carolina. The Republican Legislature, under McCrory, has done exactly the opposite of what I elected the idiots to do. They caved to elected politicians (NC Sheriff's Association) over a simple pistol permit, much less Constitutional Carry. They have done NOTHING, like Arizona (Bill 1070) to rid the state of filthy, disease ridden illegal aliens. They've done nothing except RAISE TAXES on the middle class. The Democrats couldn't have done it any better than the RINOs we have in the state legislature. Remember, traitor Thom Tillis was an integral part of the NC State Legislature.

McCrory is a status quo politician who has DONE NOTHING to increase my freedoms. Un-elect the dolt and replace with someone else if for only to show that there are consequences for ignoring the proletariat. I also plan on supporting anyone against RINO Richard Burr and RINO Foxx - both are status quo politicians as well.

Like you discussed with USS Rodger Young, one cannot forget the establishment abandonment of Ken Cuccinnelli and Sharon Angle. Time for the pigeons to come home to roost as conservatives abandon the establishment. Better to let liberals sink it and rebuild later on.

Cyclops said...

JR, you're going to have to live an eternal life if you expect to rebuild our political and economic system after liberals destroy it. And your views are far worse than than any RINO's. You are a political anarchist. But fortunately, they are so far over-the-top that they are irrelevant to contemporary politics. You can rant and rave and spout your venom on blogs like this, but the only people who take your inane fantasies seriously are a few simpletons who lack the wit of a six-year old.

BTW, I supported Ken Cuccinnelli, but Sharon Angle was destined to be a loser from the start. And she still is a loser who does nothing but harm the conservative cause. Also, it is a blatant LIE being promoted by liberal Democrats and other financially-challenged loons that the NC GOP legislature raised taxes on the middle class.

So you can keep on wailing your extreme BS, but really, JR, few are paying you any mind

Johnny Rico said...

You're paying me mind. This means other establishment liberal RINOs are too. New Guy paid enough mind to block my posts during the last election cycle. Watauga Watch paid enough mind to ban me from posting inconvenient truths like the "No Guns for Negros" video. Liberal sheep like POV, PLOP!, Democrapus Perplexed, etc pay me enough mind to constantly lobby Blogger to ban me. Your half hearted wish that I am irrelevant is just that - irrelevant.

Now to the meat. You said: "you're going to have to live an eternal life if you expect to rebuild our political and economic system after liberals destroy it." A student of history knows otherwise. Often, fundamental, meaningful change comes within a few short years. Our own Founding Fathers are proof of this. From 1776 until around 1783, a completely new political form of governance was built from the ground up. And this type of view is "far worse than any RINOs?" Hmmm.... Your prevarications prohibit you from understanding, or maybe accepting, any other paradigm other than yours (which is in a state of failure). During the Revolutionary War, about 10% of the population supported the rebels. I seriously doubt you would be found within that 10%. I would be found within it.

Ken Cuccinnelli and Sharon Angle were both ignored by the establishment to teach Tea Partiers a lesson. The lesson however, is one lost to RINOs - that conservatives are tired of traitors and status quo politicians. Even as the establishment continues to ignore the proletariat, they call us "anarchists"!! Amazing. The establishment (you) is even under the illusion that a Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, or Jeb Bush could beat Hillary!!!!!! Talk about incompetence. Oh, but wait, I'm engaging in political "anarchy" by mentioning the truth aren't I? Guilty as charged!!!!!

I notice you steer clear of the many questions I present. Tough aren't they? The NC State Legislature, for instance, is ignoring the proletariat. Do you support actions of the NC State Legislature, including what Thom Tillis did during his failed tenure? At the rate you're going, it would take a hundred lifetimes for your ilk to rebuild a political system.

Cyclops said...

I doubt few movement conservatives or establishment Republicans are paying you any mind. I attempted to engage you in an intelligent discussion, but that's impossible for incorrigibles like you. So I will once again ignore your juvenile tantrums. Just remember, when a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, it doesn't make a sound.
