Anyone who thought Obamacare was a good law should refrain from voting for at least the next 6 election cycles. It was so obvious. It is scary that liberals have a voting right at all.

A new mega-McDonald’s comes complete with a glimpse of the future as fast food chains respond to legislation enforcing minimum wage hikes. Some McDonald’s will have kiosks taking orders instead of people.
CEO Pudzer of Hardee’s and fellow fast food giant Carl’s Jr. said moving from people to technology is the future of the fast food sector.
He said the need to explore an “employee-free restaurant” is linked to higher minimum wage rates imposed by state and local governments. New York State and California are two of the largest states to recently embrace the drive for a $15 minimum wage.
“With government driving up the cost of labor, it’s driving down the number of jobs,” Pudzer said. “This is the problem with Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton and progressives who push very hard to raise the minimum wage. Does it really help if Sally makes $3 more an hour if Suzie has no job?”

Blogger- I am in a higher part of Houston. So far, no flooding at the Sarkazein estate. Lots of people did get flooded. More rain on the way. The City government in all its brilliance has been using a flood mitigation plan which has caused more areas to flood but, as an example, instead of 50,000 houses with 12" of water in them, we now get 100,000 houses with only 6" of water in them.

In discussing Trumps ability to beat Hillary, Morris points out that the polling models are built on turnout. So far in the primaries Trump has turned out 33 million enthusiastic voters. Romney, on the other hand, only turned out 19 million. This is a 42% turnout increase and these voters are red hot. Added in that Hillary is target rich–the email scandals and the private server-- lying about Bengazi--not making quick decisions that night--speaker fees that look like quid per quos--old White House scandals-- little accomplishments in the Senate-- no significant foreign policy accomplishments because most have already deemed failure, the Russian reset, Libya--as well as no enthusiasm among her people. Trump will have a field day. All she gives as a reason to vote for her is that it is a woman’s time.

Rush had an interesting comment today regarding Trump's persistent whining about CRUZ not playing fair in the primaries. CRUZ started out knowing he would have to beat the powers that be in the RNC (perhaps the "establishment" as some call it). CRUZ had no idea that Trump could fool people into thinking that he Trump was actually the true anti-"establishment" candidate/briber of politicians for favors just by hurling insults at everyone who did not praise him (Trump). So TED geared up his campaign to beat the RNC at its own game (the primaries and caucuses) not knowing of the hoax that is Donald Trump's claim to being the anti-"establishment". Remember Trump said all the other girls in the sorority hate TED.... hardly a characteristic of someone in the clique.

Trump to break record. Donald Trump will likely wind up winning the most primary votes of any GOP presidential candidate in modern history.

After convincing victories in Tuesday’s primaries in five East Coast states, Trump has roughly 10.1 million votes, about 200,000 more than Mitt Romney got during the entire 2012 primary campaign.

And the establishment is still trying to think of a way to block him. They are plain nuts!

I agree with Blogazein. This blog is dominated by too few and those few are often out of the conservative mainstream. Also, the subject matter here is often irrelevant to current issues, both state and national, that should be of vital concern to conservatives. There is way too much discussion of religion and religious beliefs. One should not have to be a religious zealot to be a dedicated conservative. Even though I abhor the liberal philosophy behind the Watch Watch blog, one can often get a much better sense of current issues affecting NC there and even engage, at times, in a productive and informative debate with liberals on issues of current importance.

I'm still here...I just have a hard time dealing with ignorant people anymore. Most people already have the election results figured out...if they don't they are ignorant. Unless Trump truly does something unthinkable, he'll be the next president. I just can't fathom how anyone can just be content with the way our economy has continued to fail. It takes ignorance to be satisfied with failing.
We are not a country weakness. I don't want to see people struggling to get by...we all want our neighbors to do well. They are not doing well my friends.
If you want it to continue...by all means vote for someone who won't do anything. I want everyone to prosper. God says work 6 days and rest one. We only want to work 5, the ignorant ones don't want to work. The way I figure it, if I work you work. Simple as that.

How many more times do you say that to an ignorant person? I just keep reading comments and the conservative comments do not always agree with one another. By the way, never seen Retro or Blogazein on here...or maybe I missed those posts. Doubt it.

I have not gone anywhere either. Like Reader I got tired of answering the same inane liberal talking points over and over. I visit this site at least once a day, but do not post very much anymore. This will probably change as I have some thoughts on the actions of the establishment Republicans as to Trump.

Unlike Reader I do not think these people are ignorant. While many of them cannot think for themselves, many are deliberately obtuse and are proponents of the theory that if you tell a lie often enough people will believe it.

There are party first Republicans that will vote for the Republican candidate, no matter who that person may be. I used to be one, but decided I would only support a candidate in which I shared man of his beliefs.

The establishment Republicans apparently agree with this, even though they used to say not supporting the Republican candidate was a vote for the Democrats and that one was scum if he did this. They have since started singing a different song I would therefore assume that their personal positions of power mean more to them than the well being of the country. There is nothing inherently wrong with following your convictions, even in this case. However, it odes demonstrate that they were hypocritical in making their earlier statements

In the event I do post something, it will be in response to a serious statement. I am no longer interested in countering the same repetitive La La La La La liberal talking point BS that we have been forced ti endure for years. An example of what I need to avoid is responding to a person who would be so arrogant to tell another person how to spell his blog name. This does not generate adult conversation and will henceforth be ignored.

Guy, I was commenting about liberals...not about establishment republicans, although I do believe some are ignorant.

I have supported Cruz through his suspension of his campaign and he was my choice. I also liked, at the end of the debates, Kasich and some of his ideas. My first choice has not been Trump. Most of my family are supporters of Trump and have been from the start. I was not. His beliefs on some things are not mine, but I do think that we need someone to create jobs and he's good at creating jobs. He may be arrogant but he knows how to make money. I do believe there will be many voting for Trump...democrats and republicans whether they admit it in public or not.

I don't claim to know the answers to our problems. I do know it does indeed take ignorance to support Hillary or Bernie at this point and to continue with Obama's agenda.

Here's what RINO Richard Burr is up to:

"This week, the Senate approved a bipartisan compromise that provides $1.1 billion to research and fight the Zika virus. The American people expect us to be prepared to combat threats, whether they are natural or man-made.

Today this threat is Zika. Two years ago it was Ebola. The years before that, novel flu strains. We don’t know what the next threat will be or how it will arise, but by staying focused on identified threats and being vigilant to finish what we start"

What he's up to is playing it safe. Typical status quo Republitard. He knows no one will criticize fighting the Zika virus, so he acts like he's really doing us a favor. How about deporting all the illegal aliens and third worlders who are bringing us the Zika virus, drug resistant TB, Measles at Disneyland, and the mumps? How about that RINO Burr?

No, you won't touch that one because you're a big government loving liberal politician who cares about one thing - RETAINING POWER. Zika is tailer made for dolts like you. Piece of trash. I'd say slimes like Burr love it when Zika comes out so they can offline the real problems our country is facing for a few months. Typical liberal RINO.

From the website of Representive Mike Hager - District 112. This dolt thinks it's a good thing that he's increased the span of control of NC State Government. I subscribe to this idiot's website to gain needed information to spread the word that this slime ball is spending our treasure on MORE GOVERNMENT. Not once in any of his "updates" have I ever seen him increase the freedoms of the common woman. Not once. This dolt is a prime example of why our country is down the drain (we're not circling it anymore, were down the tube now). Look at what he thinks is important below:

RALEIGH, NC - Over the past two weeks, the House Budget has made its way through the committee process and was passed on the Floor of the House with Bipartisan support and a vote of 103-12. Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) had this to say:

“North Carolina is on the move. Over the past 5 years, the Republican majority has erased massive state debt, lowered taxes and slashed red tape - making our state one of the fastest growing economies in the country. That is why today, our State is in position to pass a budget that provides meaningful raises for our teachers and public safety officials, reinvests in our critical infrastructure, and shores-up the rainy day fund - all while cutting taxes and restraining spending. When you pass a spending plan that does all of those things, you see widespread and bipartisan support like we did in this week’s landmark House budget vote.”

Here are some highlights from the House budget:
This budget provides for teachers and state employees to receive pay raises or bonuses across the board.
$71 million was allocated for the state health plan
Fully funds enrollment growth in K-12 public schools and the University system.
Raises the state reserve fund to a record $1.4 billion.
Provides a 1.6% COLA for retired state employees
Increases the standard deduction $2,000 over the next four years, which allows North Carolina citizens to keep more money in their paycheck.
Repeal mill machinery tax to increase NC’s competitiveness in attracting new businesses to our state.

Education
Total education spending of $12.217 Billion, which increase of $48 million over the 16-17 budget enacted last session
4.1% average teacher pay increase in an attempt to reach the state goal of a $50,000 average teacher salary in North Carolina within the next two years.
Adds over $150 million to teacher pay schedule, $10.7 million to step increases, and $1.2 million to state agency teachers.
Since raises for the last few years have been focused on beginning Teachers, teachers with less than five years of experience do not get another raise, but would instead receive a $1,000 bonus that would count toward their retirement.
Teachers with 25 years’ experience or more did not participate in raises last year will get 2 percent AND will receive a $1,000 bonus that would count toward their retirement.

Johnny Rico said...

From RINO Mike Hager's site continued:

Recognizing the important role of the Principal in our schools, we have expanded programs for Principal preparation to develop and keep outstanding principals.
Allots $25 million in funding to provide literacy coaches in the lowest 20% performing elementary schools.
Continues to Implement North Carolina Digital Learning Plan for our Public Schools
Further Increases Appropriations for Textbooks and Digital Resources by adding $11.7 million to bring total funding in this budget line to $73 million
Funds a pilot in multiple schools for Innovative Teacher Compensation models and ensures that ALL National Board Certified Instructional Coaches receive the 12% National Board supplement, not just the ones in Title 1 schools
Provides bonuses for AP and Technical teachers whose students earn college credits for their exams or receive a credential.
Provides a 12% pay supplement for National Board coaches who serve as an important resource for our teachers.
This budget recognizes that Education IS Growth. Provisions in this budget Modify School Performance Grades in order to reflect the importance of growth along with performance and recommends that we maintain the 15-point grade differential that we have now had in place for three years.
For Community Colleges, we have modified the Management Flex Adjustment by providing nearly $15 m to reduce the reduction from over $59 million to $44.3 million and are supporting the development of competency-based education so students can accelerate their progress toward degrees and reduce tuition cost.
Provides funds to support the development of criteria based compensation
Expands internship opportunities for Historically Black Colleges and Universities from 60 internship positions to a minimum of 95.
Provides funding to support “part-way home” students, which are those who have a significant number of credits but have not yet graduated.

Johnny Rico said...

Continued from RINO Mike Hagar's site:

This budget creates NC STAR, North Carolina Scholarship for Teacher Advancement and Retention. This program establishes scholarships for those students working to fill hard-to-staff positions in our public schools.
This budget expands eligibility for Special Education Scholarships for military kids, children whose parents are on active duty in the US Military of National Guard and Reserve and for kids living in North Carolina for at least 6 months.
Health and Human Services
Restored $60 million for single stream funding
Provides $7.7 million for the creation of 157 residency slots which will serve to train the next generation of general practice doctors and psychologists, with a focus on rural healthcare.
Allocates a one-time expenditure of $1.25 million to help modernize Medicaid with new data sources, automatic reporting, analytic capabilities and other tools to analyze claims.
Expands of slots in the North Carolina Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults Waiver come into effect January 1, 2017. This will help accommodate the 9,800 people on the waiver’s waiting list and will cost $1.5 million for the current year and $3 million annually in the coming years.
Allocates spending $3.7 million on increased rates on services for registered nurses provided under the North Carolina Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults Waiver. The goal of this is to match the rates of private duty nurses.
$3.4 million going to the State Public Health Laboratory
$1.2 million going to Children’s Developmental Services Agencies
$8.5 million going to local health departments
Provides $30 million to implement the recommendations of the Governor’s Task Force on Mental Health and Substance Use.
$750,000 to create a surveillance program designed to detect, prevent, and respond to potential carriers of Zika and similar viruses.
Funds the State’s efforts to combat Alzheimer’s disease and similar conditions that affect aging North Carolinians
$4 million for a Pre-Kindergarten expansion, which will allow 800 additional children to attend.
Increases the child care subsidy by $3.5 million to include 3-5 year olds in tier 1 and tier 2 counties.

Johnny Rico said...

That's just the education part of the bill the commie Republicans passed. The Senate will probably do the same.

Note the state is spending 750,000 to "create a surveillance program designed to detect, prevent, and respond to potential carriers of Zika and similar viruses."

As most on this site already know, the illegal alien wetbacks are part of the group known as third world illegal aliens. They are too stupid to know what Bernie or Hillary stands for and that Trump has given their kind more jobs than Hillary or Bernie combined.

Why no mention of the Hispanics beating white Trump supporters up? Afraid it will awaken something within America that all moderates (Bernie, Hillary, Obama, Bush Family, Rubio, Christy, etc) dread - an end to political correctness? Notice how the gas powered weed eaters you buy now are heavier than the one from the 1980s. And how the modern weed eaters have less power than the ones from the 1980s. One would think weed eaters and other small engines such as lawn mowers and chain saws would, 30 years later, be a better product. But their not. With help from George Bush Jr, Congress (including RINOs like Richard Burr and Virginia Foxx), the weed eaters you buy now are trash. The amount of air quality filters inside small engines make they heavier than ever with much less power. And you think Rethuglikcans are the answer? 8 years under Bush gave us gas can nozzles that are nearly impossible to operate and a whole slew of secret regulations that cap the power of products that you and I buy. I never heard Congress or George Bush mention gas can nozzles would be replaced by ones that needed to be twisted, pulled and pushed at the same time to extract gas from a can. But that's what you are forced to buy now (You can go online and buy regular nozzels if you know where to look). I never heard Congress, Bush, Obummer or ANY other politician say that my weed eater would be heavier than ever with less power due to catalytic converters being placed inside the engine.

Yet, the sheeple slug along with nary a murmer. WAY past the point of no return.

Not a peep from ANY politicians regarding the damage Ethanol fuel does to small engines. Go to any small engine repair shop and ask about what Ethanol fuel does to small engines. Was over at A&B out 194 the other day, and they indicate that most of their engine repairs can be attributed to Ethanol fuel. The cost to American taxpayers is in the Billions of dollars each year. Not a murmer from the consumer who NEVER hold politicans accountable.

Where were the Rethuglicans when Ethanol fuel bills were being passed that would damage my chain saw carburetor? Missing in action is where they were/are. I still haven't seen RINOs increase my freedom in ANY way. In fact, they want to use more of my hard earned taxpayer money to give raises to liberal socialist teachers who indoctrinate our children that Ethanol laced fuel is a good thing (knowing these children rarely get out and mow grass anymore).

You are no longer circling the drain folks; you're well down it. Enjoy socialism.

One can still buy ethanol free fuel at Hodges Oil in Perkinsville by the way. After several carbureator repairs on several of my engines, I found the ethanol free fuel to be the way to go.

North Carolina NRA field representative and lobbyist Anthony Roulette is at it again. I first exposed him as a socialist big government loving fraud during the infamous Blowing Rock Land Trade in 2009 when he (the NRA) sided with the anti-gun Blowing Rock Town Council.

Moderate Republicans (liberals) failed to listen to my warnings, and are now outraged that Roulette recently worked behind the scenes with the communist NC Sheriff's Association to mandate a mental evaluation form be provided for issuance of a pistol permit. Roulette and the NRA are sell outs to the liberal NC State Legislature who has given us dolts like Senator Thom Tillis who also worked with the NC Sheriff's Association to deny Constitutional Rights to NC citizens.

Islamist terrorism strikes innocent Americans again. Will this most recent act finally make Obama admit what this is, or will he call for more gun control and call it a domestic hate crime like he called Ft Hood "workplace violence"?

50 dead, 50+ injured. Thoughts and prayers to the victims and families.

Perhaps the gay lobby will realize that the Christian bakers, photographers and florists in this country that don't want to be forced to participate in gay weddings are not their worst enemy, as they seem to believe, but the Islamic terrorists who believe it is their duty to kill homosexuals.

Oh, the night club was also a Gun Free Zone.

Makes you feel safer doesn't it?

The seed of multiculturalism have, again, borne fruit. What do you expect when you allow filthy, third world Muslims into the country by the thousands? As I pontificated on this site right after the San Bernardino Shooting by a Muslim, expect much more to come. Be interesting, as Anonymous said, how the gay community reacts to an anti-gay Muslim. Had it been a white guy, they would be after Confederate Flags again. Why no effort, by liberal Nikki Haley, to ban the Koran?

Sarkazein said...

This is twice we know of where witnesses to the Muslim terrorists actions prior to his attack have been in fear of offending Muslims. Political correctness rears its evil head again by way of liberalism.

Sarkazein said...

The Florida Muslim terrorist beat his wife and stated he wanted to kill homosexuals. All acceptable behaviors in Shari'ah Law. Most Muslim immigrants from Afghanistan think America would be better off under Shari'ah Law. BUT, it is not nice to say STOP the immigration of Muslims until we figure out what's going on. Like Liberal POV used to say, your chances of being killed by a Muslim terrorist are small so why do anything about it.

Sarkazein said...

Actually, it is the third time we know of.

We are way passed the time where the US Military should have honored their oaths and loaded up Obama and his family in the back of a deuce and a half and taken them back to Chicago under house arrest.

O Reilly used an interesting term tonight--Islamic fundamentalism. Because a fundamentalist is a person who adheres to the fundamentals of a faith, then the term Islamic Fundamentalism is more accurate than the term Radical Islamism. They are not radical to the Koran, they are fundamentalists in the same way Christiian fundamentalists believe they are holding to the fundamentals of their faith.

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Updated: 8:51 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016
While immigrants draw much of the attention, it’s their children who are proving to be the most fruitful recruiting ground for radical jihad in the U.S., accounting for at least half of the deadly attacks over the past decade.
The latest instance of the second-generation terrorist syndrome played out in Orlando, Florida, over the weekend when Omar Mateen, son of immigrants from Afghanistan, went on a jihad-inspired rampage, killing 49 people and wounding 53 others in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
Authorities said Mateen had flirted with other terrorist groups but declared his allegiance to the Islamic State on Sunday morning as he began his horrific spree.
He follows in the footsteps of Syed Rizwan Farook, one of the San Bernardino, California, terrorists who was the son of Pakistanis; Nadir Soofi, one of two men who attacked a drawing competition in Garland, Texas, last year and whose father was from Pakistan; and then-Maj. Nidal Hassan, the child of Palestinian immigrants whose shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009 set off the modern round of deadly lone-wolf attacks.
In other cases, attackers were immigrants brought to the U.S. as young children. They grew up in the U.S. but were besieged by questions of identity.

Bill of Reilly and trump are caving to political correctness. O Reilly has done it before, however Trump may have just lost what momentum he had. Stating that you are going to speak to the NRA regarding preventing someone who is on the terrorist watch list from buying a gun is not a smart thing to do. He just lost my vote.

The leftists are upon you folks. Inaction on the part of RINOs for the past 50 years has caused this phenomenon more than any action taken by Democrats. Your personal freedoms are about to be taken in earnest due to a GAY TERRORIST!!!!!! Can't make this stuff up!! A gay terrorist is the catalyst for gun control!!!! You stand by ready to do nothing. The liberals are starting to realize how easy it will be to enact communism.

Sarkazein said...

USARodgerYoung- AND, the terrorist was NOT on a "terrorist watch list".

It would make more sense to ban first generation Muslim Democrats with homosexual tendencies from buying any guns.

The Taliban are using child sex slaves to mount crippling insider attacks on police in southern Afghanistan, exploiting the pervasive practice of "bacha bazi" -- paedophilic boy play -- to infiltrate security ranks, multiple officials and survivors of such assaults told AFP.

The ancient custom is prevalent across Afghanistan, but nowhere does it seem as entrenched as in the province of Uruzgan, where "bacha bereesh" -- or boys without beards -- widely become objects of lustful attraction for powerful police commanders.

The Taliban over nearly two years have used them to mount a wave of Trojan Horse attacks -- at least six between January and April alone -- that have killed hundreds of policemen, according to security and judicial officials in the province.

"The Taliban are sending boys -- beautiful boys, handsome boys -- to penetrate checkpoints and kill, drug and poison policemen," said Ghulam Sakhi Rogh Lewanai, who was Uruzgan's police chief until he was removed in a security reshuffle in April amid worsening violence.

"They have figured out the biggest weakness of police forces -- bacha bazi," he told AFP.

Sark - Ted Cruz is the loudest conservative on gun rights over the past week. As liberal Republicans begin to cave on the issue, Ted is standing firm. Similar to when he stood firm against Congress on past spending bills that mortgage our children's and grandchildren's future. Ted hates liberal Mitch McConnel who is ready to vote with Democrats to take your Constitutional Rights away (what little is left of them). Ted is still the man in my book. Trump is beginning to look like a hip shooter to me. That's a very dangerous skill set when talking about Constitutional Rights. I'll not have my gun rights hip shot away (pun intended). Trump better turn it around quick or he's going to lose the election. He came this far by appealing to conservatives. He should grow a brain and understand that he doesn't need to piss conservatives off. Take a lesson from Rubio, Ryan, McConnel, and Eric Cantor - those dolt slugs were voted in by conservatives who now abhor them.

Some say Trump said something after Orlando that offended. Was it because he said if others had guns they could have stopped the shooter which is something most of us felt? Or was it something else?

Anonymous said...

A spokesman for the NRA said others should not have had guns, which is something most of us felt.

Thanks. I googled it. The issue is guns in bars and not guns at gatherings. I get it.
