Our kids are being indoctrinated today with "White Privilege". At the same time, we have a black president and a Hispanic running for the top job. "Kids, do you believe what we tell you or your own lying eyes."
When my wife was a counselor in the American School in Nicaragua, one of her duties was to administer the GRE for acceptance in American universities. One day the notorious son of the notorious dictator Anastasia Somoza rolled up in his jeep with his two bodyguards armed with automatic weapons and parked outside the classroom window.
He had come to take the exam. He questioned my wife: "What would you do if you saw me cheating?" She responded, "I would ask you to leave and I would tear up your exam and report you."
Somoza rolled back his head and laughed uproariously adding: "Oh you Americans! If this were a European school, you would have said "Well, rank has its privileges." And he sat down and took the test.
My point is that even people in other countries recognize that in America, accomplishment, not rank, is what brings privilege.
The concept of white privilege misleads the white student and demeans members of other races. It is racism on steroids.
