Charlotte Minister Reports on Trump Meeting with Who's-Who of American Evangelical Leaders.
I just got off a webinar with Rick Joyner of Morningstar Ministries* reporting on his time with Donald Trump, and the nearly thousand of who's-who among evangelical leaders. I was interested because
for me, Rick is one of the most astute judges of people that I have ever spent time with.
The meeting with Trump was originally planned for 100, but so many wanted to come, they had to move to a much larger place. Rick observed in the beginning it was going to be a very tough audience, running from lukewarm to cold. The meeting ended with a standing ovation. Rick listed some of the things that impressed them.
The ministers realized that Trump was "one of the most honest up-front men who had ever run for the presidency in modern times." And, he was not there to talk politics. He wanted these ministers to talk to him about how the country was going to solve specific problems. And he listened.
They were amazed at how deeply he had thought out the very issues that concerned them.
They realized they could expect that the persecution of Christians in America by the Left would be over. Such things as the unconstitutional muzzling of ministers by the IRS threatening their tax exempt status. "This will end," declared Trump.
Many at the meeting recognized that if a person was any kind of Christian, he or she could not vote for Hillary. They were aware that the appointment of leftist judges legislating from the bench, would be disastrous for the church in America.
Concluding "If Trump, in a face to face meeting, could win over such a tough group as this one, he will be our next president," many said.
*Beside heading the worldwide Morningstar Ministries, Joyner is the author of over 40 books. He also helped form the The Oak Initiative, an organization that provides resources to the politically invested.
