"Raise Your Hand If You Will Not Promise to Support the Winner"

The sore losers Bush, Kasich, and Rubio, after agreeing they would support whoever won, are nowhere to be seen at the convention. My first reaction was disgust. However, as each state’s roll call was given, I began to think, "Hey if I were any of them, I think I would be hiding out too."
If your name was Jeb Bush, you would only hear it for four votes, and everyone would know, you spent $32.5 million per vote.

If you are Kasich, you would only hear you won 161 but 66 of those were your own hometown folks. You would also hear from the chair that it would be appropriate if he gave the Ohio votes up. How humiliating!

And Rubio, the most petulant of all would be asked why, in an unprecedented move, did he hold on to his paltry 172 even though he had quit.

I was going to include a picture of babies with their thumbs in their mouth but that would have been cruel.

None of them, so far, has threatened to go third party. The "promise" thing started because Mr Trump threatened third party if he felt mistreated.

Spin it if you want but so far a promise means nothing to some of them. And after Trump was gracious to let Cruz have his moment tonight Cruz played the jerk.

Cruz looses either way with his speech tonight. If Mr Trump looses, Cruz becomes part of the blame. If Mr Trump wins, Cruz won't be a part of it and will be considered wrong. Cruz screwed the pooch on this one tonight. BUT, this is like no other modern Republican primary. Mr Trump called Cruz's father a murderer, called his wife a thief and said Cruz looked like a serial killer. He called Cruz the biggest liar he's EVER known because Cruz dared to repeat Mr Trump's own words. This is a different kind of primary. You can't go one way, then expect everyone to then fall in line like the conventional way.

I just listened to Senator Ted Cruz's meeting with the Texas delegates. You really can't argue with anything he said. The man is 100% committed to conservatism, the US Constitution, and his family. For me, that will never go out of favor.

Give it a break, Blogger. Your candidate won. It will take a miracle for him to win in November. Ignore Cruz's petulance and urge Trump supporters to be magnanimous and focus on ¨unifying the party. That's conservatives' only hope of defeating Hillary.

If you had a contract with someone to paint your house and the painter would insult you, your wife, yell at your dog and your father every morning when he showed up to work.... would you still have a contract? Would you have to recommend him to others? OR, would you punch him in the nose and turn him in to Immigration?

Blogger said...

O.K.Cyclops, I will follow your advice, but I may choke to death.

Hey Sark, it would depend on if the painter did a good job or not. If he is the best man for the job, I'd probably punch him in the throat and then tell him to get up that ladder and "make my house great again"!

You know I was for Cruz all the way to the end of his run. I think we all know Trump can say really stupid things but so can some of our own friends. I gotta have faith our country can do better. At this point it's not.

The fear in our own police officers is unreal and needs to be solved. That's another story.

Good one Reader. But at my house, he would be climbing up his own butt on that ladder.
Senator Cruz should have skipped the convention. He screwed up. Hopefully we will return to a day when family honor is more important than something new and shiny.

Cyclops, it is fashionable these days to break promises, so on Cruz, I am breaking mine. I hope it’s the last time. Don’t know how many of you remember Edmund Muskie when he ran for president. The newspaper attacked his wife and he became so emotional, he cried in public. That ended his political career. Apparently, Americans don’t like cry babies for their president.

As the saying goes, if you can’t run with the big dogs. Stay on the porch.

Mr Trump backed out of the "promise.

The New America- Standing up for family and not supporting the insulter and taking a stand is the same as crying like a little girl because of something the press said.

I cannot fault Cruz for giving the same advice I have for years even though I support Trump. However, having lost to Trump does nothing for his image.

Sarkazein said...

Senator Cruz, so far, has not said he couldn't support Mr Trump because they did not have the exact same political views.
In fact, Senator Cruz said in his speech that everyone should vote their conscience. So did Mr Trump's daughter say she was voting her conscience. She was cheered for it and Senator Cruz was booed for it.

Mr Romney was a good man, in my view the right man for the job at the time. He was a gentleman and had a history of success. No bankruptcies or divorces and he had executive experience.

So, I would say this is different. GuyFaulkes, at the time, you wrote of political differences (not being conservative enough), same for McCain. Senator Cruz is speaking of the man's psyche, aside from the fact that Mr Trump is a Progressive.

Trump is a gun-grabbing, pro-choice, anti-property rights charlatan who has effectively fooled conservatives into supporting him simply by being "anti-establishment." Who will you blame when either, 1) he loses in a landslide, or 2) he becomes President and betrays you just like the RINOS. Hey! at least you got your "anti-establishment" candidate! And he will never "build a wall" - just another lie you have fallen for.

Anonymous 2:25 PM- I still can't say who can win and who can't. After the American people electing a Slick Willy totally emerged in scandal and controversy, NY electing a First Lady to the US Senate who was also surrounded by scandal, a freshman Senator unknown to most except for a speech and electing him because of his race according to many who voted for him, there is no way to tell. It is all a guess. The most we can hope for is that Mr Trump is going through a different phase in his life that will last his 4 year term if he should win.
The DNC has been caught with their pants down by WikiLeak (sp). The most bigoted people I know are Democrats. They use race and religion as a tool. Pandering is bigotry and Hillary is obvious in her pandering, has been quoted using anti-semetic rips, has attacked woman accusing her husband of rape and molestation, she is obvious in her money grubbing, and has obvious health problems.Yet, the Democrats act like they have no choice but to vote for her... so who knows.

I am hopefully looking forward to a 1968 Chicago style riot of demonstrators in Philadelphia this week. I want to see heads busted by the hundreds of the nuvo-anarchists, Communists/Socialists/Democrat, mask wearers, Black Lives Matters, OWS friends of Obama. No arrests because you then have to give them first aid... let them do their selfies as they sit dazed and bleeding and choking on tear gas. Hot town summer in the city. It's the only thing that can get me to watch the Democrat Convention.

Romney was an establishment hack.

Cruz might have been OK if he hadn't played dirty, such as torpedoing Carson. But he comes off as a whiny little bitch. His donors are bailing.

Bush was another establishment tool, no friend of freedom or the American people.

Trump ain't great BUT from what I see on the news magazines and online he is feared by both the repub and dem establishment, the media and Wall Street.

If nothing else, Trump is a loose cannon, but in a government full of statist thugs maybe that's what's needed.

Clinton is inherently evil, corrupt and greedy beyond belief for money and power. She will do anything to become president so Sark needn't worry, by hook or by crook she will be President even if she has to force the repubs to take Trump out.

Sarkazein said...

Whitey- You are right about one thing, Hillary will do anything and everything to get elected. I still say she won't be the candidate in November unless the polls show her so far ahead that she couldn't lose. The Democrats are famous for switching candidates when faced with defeat.
BUT, Mr Trump has already said he will beat her, so there, nothing to worry about.

He also said he is going to start a PAC to defeat Senator Cruz and Governor Kasich. I guess he has no grounds to sue.

Sarkazein said...

Listen to the Democrat' sleazy/Clintonesque defense of the DNC's hacked emails. They say the "emails" said this and said that. They can't defend the "emails" and the words the "emails" use.
For the morons out there they are separating the "emails" from the mindset of the Democrat/DNC mindset. i.e. Wasserman didn't say it, the "email" said it.

Sarkazein said...

Wasserman Schults should be put on suicide by Clinton watch.
