North Carolina Liberal Media Distort Truth

The Truth about taxes and education in North Carolina:

                    Income taxes have gone down
                    Overall state taxes have decreased
                    K-12 education spending has increased

                    dramatically while
                    expanding educational  options
Teacher pay is the highest in state history with

average  teacher pay above $50,000 per  year

Yet every major newspaper in the state, led by the Raleigh News & Observer, the Charlotte Observer has deliberately distorted the truth on tax cuts and education spending.

A Civitas poll found that the left wing media has had an impact on citizens because:

41% think income taxes have gone up.
49% think overall state taxes have gone up.
38% think K-12 Education spending has decreased, and
26% think teacher pay for K-12 educators has decreased.
