OBAMA'S LEGACY

A Small Texas Town

A White Calvert Texas Police Officer who has just recovered from a funeral escort motorcycle crash, was ambushed by a Black Man. So far, no national news coverage. It is the first, I believe, of 2017 as it happened at 2:30 AM 01/01/2017. He was shot in the back while helping a citizen get home on NewYears Eve/Day. His vest saved him. He would probably be dead if not for the vest. Calvert is a predominantly Democrat city. Obama's legacy continues to rage in 2017 and the MSM either doesn't think it important or even worse, this has become the norm.

How is it that you can go up and shoot a police officer in the back and only get charged with aggravated assault.

Charges can be increased after investigation.

How is it that a cop can shoot someone in the back, multiple times, on camera and not be guilty?

Criminal intent. If the cop you are talking about went up to a "someone" while the "someone" was unloading groceries, not fleeing a felony, then you would be right.
There are cops in prison you know.

I guess I didn't write a full sentence there. I will try again- "Criminal intent. If the cop you are talking about went up to a "someone" and shot the "someone" in the backwhile the "someone" was unloading groceries, not fleeing a felony, then you would be right.

But at least you can see what falsehoods did to your mindset...." Hands Up Don't Shoot".

Although, I will admit that it does happen sometimes. The suspect is told to put his hands up, but when he tries his pants fall the rest of the way down. The Officer thinks he's going for a gun and Tasers the suspect.

Perhaps because the person shot was armed and a threat, having chosen not to drop his weapon and making it seem reasonable he is going to turn and fire. Perhaps he was a threat to someone else in front of him. Finally, have you ever seen how fast a trained person can address a target behind him? Go to an IPSC or IDPA match and prepare to be amazed.

As Stark says, cops occasionally do do something wrong, but if it is on camera they will not get away with it. At the very least, the civil law suit will almost bankrupt the entity the cop works for.
