Left wing psychiatrists have a nasty history of using their profession as a political weapon. There was "political abuse in the Soviet Union based on the interpretation of political opposition or dissent as a psychiatric problem. It was called "psychopathological mechanisms" of dissent.
During the leadership of Leonid Brezhnev, psychiatry was used to disable and remove from society political opponents ("dissidents") who openly expressed beliefs that contradicted the official dogma. The term "philosophical intoxication", for instance, was widely applied to the mental disorders diagnosed when people disagreed with the country's Communist leaders." Wikepedia
So we should not be surprised when group of psychiatrists from the most disgraceful left wing universities are breaking all the laws and ethics in their Profession in order to insult Donald Trump. They are preaching: "Worse than just being a liar or a narcissist, in addition he is paranoid, delusional, and [has] grandiose thinking and he proved that to the country the first day he was President," said John Gartner, a former Johns Hopkins University professor who helped launched the anti-Trump group "Duty to Warn".
This group is violating the American Psychiatric Association’s "Goldwater Rule" which prohibits a psychologist from "offering opinions on someone they have not personally evaluated." The APA even wrote a warning specifically to psychologists in 2016 that psychoanalyzing "the candidates," is "unethical". Conservative 101
This is just one more example of psychiatrists demeaning their own profession and earning the title of "shrinks." At the same time, we need to keep our eyes on them because of their notorious history in leftest countries.

Other professionals besides me weigh in. Commenting on those psychiatrists who claim they can diagnose from a distance, “I wrote the criteria for personality disorders,” says Frances, professor emeritus at Duke. The public diagnoses being bandied about are inaccurate and “miss the point,” he argues. They ignore the criterion that symptoms must be causing distress and impairment. “Donald Trump causes distress to others, not to himself.”
One example of how deranged they had become, the main speaker was willing to reveal a dirty little secret about psychiatry: "“this notion that you need to personally interview someone to form a diagnosis actually doesn’t make a whole lotta sense” because “for one thing, research shows that the psychiatric interview is the least statistical[ly] reliable way to make a diagnosis.”
Another dirty little secret about psychiatrists was when one of them, trying to make his point, was willing to say: " James Gilligan of New York University, suggested that his history of working “with murderers and rapists” allows him to “recognize dangerousness from a mile away.”
Remember the song: They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, he he, ha ha,
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young
Men in their clean white coats and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa
I watched Jessie Watters interview one of those psychiatrists. The layman Watters beat the psychiatrist soundly. That psychiatrist is lucky he wasn't interviewed by Tucker Carlson.
Sark, I read an article several years ago that stated that lay people were correct in their diagnosis of there being a problem with people significantly more often than psychiatrists. If this is true, then Waters may have been taking advantage of his opponent.
Sark the guy was an idiot, an embarrassment to my profession.
Blogger, I met William Wilson, from Duke one time...interesting man and from what I heard excellent teacher in their psychiatric department.
Blogger- The psychiatrist in the Watters interview didn't seem to care and sometime didn't seem to realize when he was proven wrong. He didn't even know about how Obama's "oceans will stop rising and no one will be unemployed the moment I takes office" inaugural address. He didn't mention Obama's record use of the word "I". The interview was close to satirical.
Sark I felt the same about him. But I wrote this thread to say we need to keep an eye on them.
Trump
Is mentally unstable, you don't have to be a psychiatrist to know the man is crazy. Many of the Trump supporter are not all that stable either.
Anonymous above thinks he's commenting directly to President Trump. The comment makes no sense. "Is mentally unstable..."
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/02/15/relax-trump-is-stone-cold-sane.html
Well well well. You don't know how much I am enjoying the Trump presidency and it's effects on the establishment, and most especially, the left.
They are going insane themselves over Trump.
He is a gift that keeps on giving.
Thanks Wolf. Great article!
Sark, anon is always diagnosing people as mentally ill. He even recently gave me a diagnosis. I wonder if I should report him for practicing psychology without a license which is against the law?😁
In Wolf'sHead's link the comment is made- "He's making them crazy." It's true. I just hope the majority catches on that the Left has gone crazy before it becomes the norm.
In Soviet Russia if someone complained about having to stand in line for 4 hours for a severely bruised potato and a severely underweight chicken, the complainer was considered crazy. Here, if you want to stop illegal immigration, protect the US against people who want Shahria Law, save the life of pre-born babies, have the right to defend your own life with deadly force, don't want your young daughters to have to shower with strange men, then you are crazy.
Blogger, you are not accusing Goofus of being an undocumented psychiatrist, are you?
President Trump does deserve an award for visiting with the Russian Foreign Minister the day after he fires the FBI Director. The Left will be strumming their lips and blowing spit bubbles.
Attacks on our Democratic Republic institutions of a free society will do that. You Nazi, don't seem to care.
I don't want to live in a country ruled by Russian style Oligarchs.
I read a quote today from an unknown author- ISIS identifies with Islam and the Left does not accept it. A man identifies as a woman and it is accepted with a vengeance.
Anonymous 10:33 AM- Did you see the Russian Foreign Minister try to act surprised when told of the FBI firing by a reporter? We all know Russia is calling the shots and told Trump to fire him. I'll bet the next FBI leader appointed has a Russian sir name. I'll bet he's going to be Oligarchish but with strong Theocratic tendencies, and I'm not just gas lighting you.
Anonymous- You won't have to worry about Trump appointing a NAZI to lead the FBI, the Russians hate NAZIS.
"I don't want to live in a country ruled by Russian style Oligarchs. " another lunatic anon
Then leave, and I hope the screen door does hit you in the ass on the way out.
"Then leave, and I hope the screen door does hit you in the ass on the way out."
Wolf, if this were to happen, the door would probably be damaged as Goofus is all ass. Then someone like you or I will have to fix the door. Conservatives spend their lives repairing the damage caused by liberals.
Wolf,
At least you admit you're willing to be ruled by greedy, authoritarian Oligarchs.
No, I didn't.
You lefties have a big problem with reading comprehension.
Too much public schooling i think.
Goofus, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills. The Wolf did not address oligarchs. He merely told you to leave if you wanted to do so and indicated he could care less if you did.
