My Anonymous Troll Called Me Schizophrenic
Back in college, I lost my religion for a period. But one day, my Jewish roommate Dan, came back to our room declaring Jesus had come to him in the park. Jesus had outlined what he hoped Dan would do with his life and Dan had written it all out.
I freaked. Convinced Dan was psychotic, I called his parents. To my shock, they disowned him.
However, it was not long before I realized something awesome had happened to my best friend. He had quickly forgiven me. He had quickly forgiven his parents. And he was the kindest, and most decent person I ever came to know.
Dan remained my closest friend until he passed away at age 92 a few weeks ago. Although he never made me feel guilty, I always had a hard time forgiving myself.
So, later when God made Himself real to me, I had to apologize to Dan all over and then of course I had to apologize to my Heavenly Father for my unbelief.
