ThinkTrump is Unpopular, Think Again

When only registered or likely voters are polled, Trump has hung around 47% approval and 49 % disapproval.   However, “when asked whether or not voters supported his primary accomplishments as President—like appointing Neil Gorsuch as a
Supreme Court Justice, supporting women in science, and his “Hire American” and “Buy American” initiatives to promote manufacturing—a whopping 56% said that they approved, while just 24% disapproved.

When it comes to President Trump’s budget spending plans, like increasing funding for national defense and law enforcement, 53% approved and 32% did not approve.”

The poll “asked voters whether they would feel safer with President Trump in office or with Hillary Clinton in office. 46% felt safer with Trump, and just 38% felt safer with Hillary Clinton. Likewise, 44% of voters believe that President Trump and Speaker Paul Ryan have a better vision for the country, compared to just 37% who believe that Clinton and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi do.”

“The Democrats who have no platform have long been planning to fight the next elections solely based on Trump’s unpopularity. But after losing four special elections in a row, it’s clear that winning back the votes of the American people will require the Democrats to develop an actual vision for the country, rather than just ride a wave of anti-Trump sentiment.”

I really don’t think I am being unfair when I say that the only Democrat platform the Dems have is “We Ain’t Him.” The rest of it seems to go like this: men in women’s bathrooms, wide-open freedom to butcher one’s offsprings, the destruction of the Biblical concept that we are created in the image of God, male and female and the two join together become one. And let’s not forget open borders and world government. As well as calling the other side racist, homophobic, sexist and Islamaphobic. And "keep your hands off our failing Obamacare." I say to the left, “Be my guest “Go ahead. Try those again.”

I would rephrase your comment to Liberals believe in science, public education, equal opportunity and healthcare as a basic human right. Liberals believe in religious freedom for all, not just evangelicals. Liberals believe wars can be prevented with diplomacy and fear the attack Trump is making on the US State Department. Liberals oppose discrimination and human rights abuse. Liberals believe in the US Constitution. Liberals believe the American people should have confidence their president is not a pathological liar and knowledgeable of public policy.

Americans are feeling better about their own lives than they have in over a decade. Rasmussen Poll

Blogger said...

Consumers are seeing green again when it comes to rating the economy and their own personal finances. The Rasmussen Reports Economic Rating Index is up nearly five points from last month to 157.3, just one point shy of March’s highest level of confidence in the economy since 2014. Immediately following the 2016 presidential election, enthusiasm about the economy started to grow and has been on the upswing for six of the last eight months. In President Obama’s final year in office, economic ratings ranged from 112.7 to 122.9.

While most Americans still say they know someone out of a job, that number has fallen to its lowest level yet, as has the number who know someone who has given up on the job market. But even though the national unemployment rate has fallen to a 10-year low, adults aren’t totally convinced the job market is better than it was a year ago.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 54% of American Adults know someone who is out of work and looking for a job. That’s down from 63% in February 2016 and is the lowest level measured in surveys since March 2010.

Delusional is when Trump groupies continue to support a corrupt, greedy, unethical, ignorant, arrogant, bigoted, lazy, billionaire, pathological liar suffering from dementia, none of which have a cure. Sooner or later you will have to except Trump's declining mental capacity and increasing erratic behavior. No attorney, no press secretary, no cheif of staff will be able to cover Trump 's corruption, incompetence, or Trump's dementia.
Trump is already rambling incoherently with tweets and in public speaking.

Trump will continue gaining in popularity as the masses see him taking on the establishment on both sides of the aisle. This is as close as we'll get to a non-politician taking office. I believe Kevin Costner starred in a movie about this very thing - a movie fancied by liberal socialist sheep.

If the ACA ( Obamacare) is repealed insurance premiums will increase by an average of 20% above the 4% without repealing. If The ACA is repealed small rural hospitals will close costing small rural economies jobs, Federal Medicaid dollars and damage the healthcare for none Medicaid residents.
Recruiting local doctors to rural areas is already difficult repealing the ACA will make it nearly impossible. Travel to see a doctor will increase by hours or overnight hotel stays in some rural communities.
Life expectancy in rural communities will decline as will infant mortality. So much for Republicans being ( Pro- Life).

Anonymous said...

The Infant mortality rate will climb not decline, more infants will die before the age of 2.

Are all of those predictions regarding the repeal of ACA brought to us by the same liberals who predicted that PASSING the ACA would save the average family $2500 and would NOT cause anyone to lose their doctor? Both were proven to be lies, and furthermore, that Obama and the dems knew their promises were lies but decided to lie anyway in order to pass the ACA.

Liberals are liars.

Sarkazein said...

One of the weirdest things about Obamacare was the registration time. It was once a year. So if the uninsured didn't register at the government's appointed time they would have to wait a year and go that year without. Also, how does a single unemployed 24 year old with no income afford $259 a month with a deductible? They can't and don't. Premiums were skyrocketing under it and no one was doing anything about it. The least important thing to ACA is affordability.

Trump unpopular? Watching him right now in Columbus, and he seems pretty darn popular in a Democratic stronghold. What he's doing in ingenious. With the establishment opposing him at every turn, he's going to the people to make his case. The establishment (RINOs and Democraps) should be nervous about these rallies. Trump is sending them a veiled message. What Trump talks about is what the proletariat wants, not what out of touch, power hungry politicians want.

There will be a day when you'll look back on this administration in astonishment. It will certainly be the last time we hear a politician laugh at a protestor being drug across the floor by the police with the crowd cheering every step of the way. Enjoy this while you can - the party won't last forever, and we'll one day be saddled by dufus politicians straddling the middle ground.

Trump is very popular. The polls lied during the elections, and they lie now. Fun to watch this guy.

Trickle Down economics Does Not Trickle Down! Investments in infrastructure ( Blue Ridge Parkways, high speed rail, new power grid, Alternative Energy sources, new modern airports, new tunnels to New York City, modern light rail in major cities, greenway, new sewer treatment plants) create living wage jobs for working families. That money will flow up to the wealthy and America gets something in return. If there's any truth to trickle down economics those people who profit as contractors and suppliers to the infrastructure update will have extra income to trickle down a double bang for the buck.
Flat Tax:
Sales Tax or Flat tax is disproportionately painful to those at the bottom of the income scale.
The poor require twice as much as they make to meet basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, transportation, healthcare, and utilities. Low income to middle class spend nearly all of the income on life's basic needs with maybe a small percentage for savings which there would be no sales tax or flat tax to pay on. The wealthy have most of their income sheltered from a flat tax or sales tax because it's being invested. Sure the wealthy may pay more actual flat tax or sales tax but it would be a much smaller percentage of their total income. Those who benefit most from a free market economy should pay more in taxes.
Take the supper wealthy Walton Family as an example. The Waltons can afford the best accounting firms, the best tax attorneys, utlizes tax shelters, foundations and loopholes and to legally minimize their tax burden. They only pay Social Security taxes on the first $118,000 income of tens of millions annually.
The Waltons benefit from America's highways, ports, Coast Guard, courts, police, shipping lanes, Airports, power grid, fire departments and many other government agencies. Why should they not pay a higher percentage of taxes than their store mangers?

Same old crap you've been spewing here for 5+ years, which is why no one wants to engage with you. You say the same things, over and over. We prove you wrong, over and over. You repeat the same things over and over. We prove you wrong, over and over.

"Trickle Down" economics works a lot better than the "stimulus spending" of liberals. Do you idiots never get tired of spending money you don't have? $20 trillion in national debt says no. Obama, 2009: "Shovel ready jobs bill of $800 Billion will save the economy!" Obama, 2010, "Shovel ready jobs weren't as shovel ready as we thought!" Obama, in eight years, never had an annual GDP growth of 3%. I'll take Reagan's six consecutive quarters of GDP growth over 5% and a whopping 9.3% in June, 1983. Not only that, but the poor did WORSE under Obama. Median household income in the US DECLINED by about 4% DURING OBAMA'S RECOVERY! The Obama "recovery" was the weakest post recession recovery in American history. Most economists blame Obamacare and over-regulation for shackling the economy. Spending NEVER works -- it just creates a dependent, unproductive population that can be manipulated by liberal politicians who 1) promise more "free" stuff (Healthcare!), and 2) scare dependent people into voting for them by saying the other guy will take away their "free" stuff. Eventually, more and more people realize life would be "better" if they quit working and just let "the government" take care of them. Only, once enough people quit working, and the "evil, rich business owners" leave, there is no one to fund the "free" stuff and no one has anything. Look to Venezuela. Understand what life was like in that paradise that was the Soviet Union.

Here's a general, philosophical question for you -- should all Americans be expected to pay at least a little something in federal income taxes -- even if it's just $1 -- as a part of the civic duty/responsibility? A flat tax would require the wealthy to pay more, but you liberal morons seem to think the wealthy should be hounded out of existence because they're just so "evil" for being rich. Who are you going to tax if there are no more rich people? 47% of people in this country pay NO federal income taxes or RECEIVE money through the tax system. How about we do away with that? Every person have a minimum tax of $1. The rich pay more, as they already do.

Here's an oldie, but goodie, that I think I've shared with you before, but you have obviously forgotten because it doesn't fit with your delusional view of the world:

And I benefit from the success of the Walton family every time I shop at Walmart. I would prefer that they use that money to successfully run their business, than have it forcibly taken from them to be spent by a corrupt, liberal politician. Liberal politicians just want to use their position to personally enrich themselves by fooling idiots like you to vote for them. Doesn't Bernie Sanders have three mansions?

Nobody said...

The real problem with you liberal idiots is that you want to judge a policy or policy stand solely on intent. You never ask, "Does what I believe actually work?" If a policy is INTENDED to help the poor, but actually makes things worse for them, you don't care. If anyone points out that your policy isn't working, and suggests another way, one that has been proven to work better, you flip out and start calling them "hateful" and "against the poor" and "opposing justice." No political or economic ideology has done more to improve the lives of more people in the history of the world than capitalism. Liberal policies, intended to help the poor, have proven, over and over, to make things worse. The United States had the world's #1 economy by WWI, built on capitalism and free enterprise. Would you rather be poor in America, or poor in Venezuela? Or poor in Cuba? Or poor in North Korea?

What's sad about Venezuela is that it was once a world top 10 economy when it was capitalist in the early 20th century. The people were well off, as measured by median income and goods were available. Then, they fell for the siren song of socialism. They nationalized industries and became socialist. They vilified corporations and "the rich" and taxed them into oblivion. They seized assets and the government took over the economy. Today, the average Venezuelan has lost 23 pounds. Infant mortality rates have skyrocketed. Inflation is at 700%. Basic necessities -- food, medicine, toilet paper -- cannot be found. The people dig through trash cans and break into zoos to kill animals in their search for food. The TRUE results of liberalism.

I noticed your opinion piece does not credit President Obama with the last 2 years of his Administration while crediting Reagan with eight years.
The National debt declined under both Carter but Reagan tax cuts increased the debt to GDP. President Obama's first two years in office were dealing with a Republican Bush recession which was the worst sense the Great Depression and preventing it from becoming a Depression. Republicans did nothing to help the recovery.
The stock market tripled under President Obama, President Obama's Administration have the longest continuous job growth in American history and it's continuing under Trumpism so far.
I don't see any evidence the wealthy are suffering. I was in Fort Lauderdale earlier this year and got a look at the 40 million dollar toys.
No I don't think workers sacrificing half the wages due them, so you can buy a burger for $0.50 cheaper should pay federal tax on half of a living wage.
Flat tax and sales tax are what the wealthiest billionaires want, they spend a small percentage of their income, most in invested.

I do not know, Goofus/Scallywag. Neither do you. Probably.

So what? When people like the Waltons pay less taxes, they invest more, open more jobs, and the money the government gets increases as the economy strengthens.

By your reasoning, those that pay no taxes should be taxed at the rate of the programmer making $118,000 per year, if a sliding tax rate is the issue. If it is fair for he Waltons to be a that rate, then it would be fair for the welfare scammer that could work and will not.

You are apparently either de facto proposing an expensive version of a fair tax or punishing people for success. The latter punishes everybody because higher taxes means less jobs, etc.

I am personally in favor of a national sales tax to replace our current system.
