Cheney Says Enhanced Interrogations Saved Lives

Democrats are more interested in political pay back than in protecting Americans.

They have once again stepped in it and will pay a price the next time we get hit.

Liberal POV said...

Democrats and liberals want the rule of law to apply to the crime of torture.

We want Cheney to be held accountable for the damage he did to America's image and the pain and death he caused.

I can see how you believe the nonsense of health care death panels. You have supported torture panels and they were real and in the white house headed by Cheney.

Cheney say torture saved lives don't make it true. I believe it has cost far more live and will continue to cost American lives in the future.

What a strange group people are.

What a bold faced liar Obama is. There are video's of him saying he would go after the Bush administration while campaigning in the primary, then saying he would not during the election, now saying he will again.
If the CIA has to deal with a new type of enemy again, they will probably just sit on their hands in fear of being prosecuted by the Monday morning quarterbacks.
Obama has put himself in a contest with the BIG league, and he is just a punk from Chicago. THEY will eat him up and spit him out like an 8 hour old chaw.

Why do you support the inhumanity of torture?

Have you read the latest reports of what these people did?

Would you want that to become the standard treatment of our men and women?

The latest reports say we had a mock execution (no one hurt, lives saved) and threatened to kill the family of terrorist (again no one hurt, lives saved). My answer would to Lib's question would be a resounding YES. Wouldn't that be nice, no beheadings, no tongues ripped out, no rape, no eyes gouged out, no wood-chippers for people, no acid to faces just empty threats. That would be great!

We were truly blessed to have had Cheney.

You want our government to have the power to detain people without due process for ever?

Your upset about a health care bill to help our citizens with things you imagine could happen all myths and lies? The torture took place under the past Republican Admin and wasn't imagined.

Bush to his credit I think finally stopped Cheney.

You people are something else.

Yes, if "our" people become terrorists, strapping bombs on to their children and walking them in to civilian places with the INTENT of murdering innocent people to exact political change or crashing civilian airliners into buildings. We should start with those that defend them.

POV, I have finally lost patience with you. The rule of law was followed. Congress was briefed on the water boarding issue. As far as I am concerned you have crossed the line from dissenting the policy of this country to aiding and abetting the enemy by trying to prosecute those that kept us safe with legal methods of interrogation. You have every right to try to change the laws governing these methods but not to encourage illegal prosecutions on matters of national security. This makes you a traitor.

The Wolf has been working 18 hours a day for the last month or so and has not been on the blog. I did get to talk to him about his son who is in the U.S. Marine Infantry school. The Wolf's cub endures greater physical torment every day during training than that of which any of the Gitmo terrorists have been subjected. I believe he is scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan after he finishes this school. He does this to protect us all, even traitorous scum such as POV.

Americans know the modern Democrats have a track record of making our country vulnerable.

The Democrat Church committee made it difficult for agencies to communicate with one another, putting them in stove pipe like containers. That set us up for 9/11.

Clinton weakened the military so we had to go into Iraq with insufficient and poorly equipped troops.

Now, Democrats are about to do it again. The CIA will be wrecked as they become too cautious and uncertain. Other nations will not trust us with intelligence. An unconventional enemy is learning our weaknesses. Unnecessary revelations will be used for recruiting purposes.

Precedents will be set so that future administrations will be putting this administration on trial. Making us crazy for only political purposes is depraved.

Sarkazein said...

Blogger-

Lest we forget Jamie Gorelick ( AKA Mistress of Disaster ) as Deputy AG for Clinton, who single handedly made sure pre 9/11 intel was not shared amongst the total US intel community. Even threatening intel officers with prosecution if they did. Then came 9/11.
She has been promoted often by the Democrats since then. She even got a cush FannyMae hush money job and bonuses as she ruined that agency. She now works for Schlumberger and will hopefully ruin that company as it is French owned and Haliburton's only competition.

Blowing Smoke at Terrorists
Wednesday, August 26, 2009
By Terence P. Jeffrey

Abd al Rahim al-Nashiri, according to the 9-11 commission report, was the mastermind of the Oct. 12, 2000, attack on the U.S.S. Cole that killed 17 U.S. sailors.

Nashiri was also the target of an "unauthorized" CIA interrogation technique (that had not been legally vetted by the Justice Department) that is described in a May 7, 2004, CIA inspector general's report that was partially declassified by the Obama administration this week.

CIA officers blew smoke in Nashiri's face, according to the report, and they used cigars.

The IG's office described this smoke-blowing as one of several "unauthorized or undocumented techniques" it discovered had been used in isolated incidents by CIA employees interrogating high-level al-Qaida terrorists.///

Our country is now run by sissies and traitors.

I know this is splitting hairs (pun intended), but the three Somali pirates were in custody of the US Navy at the time they were martyred. They were being towed by the Navy ship and were acting out a deal agreed to by both parties. The 3 Muslim children were not an immediate threat nor were they firing at the Captain or the Navy at the time.
I agree with what Obama did, by tapping the snipers on the shoulder and hollering FIRE as he said he did, but let's face it...this was an execution to set an example for other Muslim children that they should not get involved in piracy, and should be happy with their $12 a year incomes and huts with no plumbing... like Obama's brother.

guy faulkes said...

I must disagree with the statement that the only Presidential thing Obama did was to order snipers to kill three pirates. If he had been Presidential, he would have ordered the sinking of the pirate vessel if it did not surrender. He would also arm all U.S. flagged ships.

Sarkazein said...

My point was, the pirate children were under a truce agreed to by both belligerents and tethered to the Navy ship and were being towed seaward when Obama ordered there execution without trial, representation, or due process that all pirates and terrorist are entitled according to liberals.
Obama should be indicted for First Degree Murder.

Liberal POV said...

The Heroic Ship's Captain was in the custody of the pirates at the time they were killed as I understand it.

Do you have different story coming from Fox News?

Sarkazein said...

POV- The ship captain was detained by the Muslim pirate children of course, I thought you knew that.

But they were in an agreed truce when Obama the Peaceful had them blown away on his direct orders.
This may be considered a crime under international law, punishable by death.
Admittedly, the head shots were not as bad as blowing cigar smoke in a terrorist's face, but we do have to worry about our international popularity.

Of course you don't have any problems with Obama turning the three Muslim youths heads into shark chum while they were under a truce and in tow of the US Navy ship. I don't either. In fact the Left has made it safer for our military to kill the enemy than to take him prisoner.

Liberal POV said...

"turning the three Muslim youths heads into shark chum "

Why is it important for you to emphasize the religion of these pirates? Is that a conservative or Republican thing?

BikerBard said...

Wait a minute! Cheney is a liar and I have to remember three pirates??? ROTFLMAO!

Oh, I get it! Now, was Obama's order good, the only "presidential" thing Obama has done or was it bad, just "shooting three Muslim teenagers," out for a day at the park, perhaps?

You folks DO like to play loosey-goosey with the rhetoric, don't you. Well, you can't have it both ways!

And all of that doesn't change the fact that Cheney is a liar! THAT was the point of my post. But hey, change an uncomfortable topic.

Remember the "Pirates of Penzance!"

Sarkazein said...

POV-

It is important to point out the three pirate youths were Muslim, because one of your biggest concerns is how we are viewed in the Muslim world. The terrorists, the pirates, the GITMO detainees, the Taliban, are all Muslims. The three pirate children Obama had executed with no trial, were Muslim. If the Muslims do take over the world, as they say they will, they might want to go after Muslim murderers like Obama. You say it's not murder, and I say it's not murder, but how about the next rulers of the world?
The Muslim rulers of the world may hold the three Muslim pirate children up as martyrs and want to go after the non-Muslim who bragged on TV how he called the shots and had the three Muslim pirate youths assassinated. I don't want you to think I am not concerned about your concern for the Muslim terrorist, Muslim pirates, Muslim detainees at GITMO, and the Muslim Taliban.

First of all Lib, you keep bringing the US Constitution into your arguments against torture, but our Constitution wasn't implemented to protect foreign combatants! It was implemented to protect law abiding CITIZENS! A big difference! The "torture" committed by the US to gain information that saved lives is so harmless compared to the atrocities committed by our enemies to gain information from American POWs and citizens.

And secondly, it sure is a “conservative or Republican thing” to state the facts! That’s what we do, whether they are Christian, Muslim, or Buddhist extremists! Ha-ha, we just call it like it is! The fact is they were Muslim teenagers, just as I’m a Christian Woman. I do not get offended at someone referring to me as a Christian Woman—I take pride in it, as I am sure Muslims take pride in being called a Muslim Teenager. That’s what we do, whether they are Christian, Muslim, or Buddhist extremists! Ha-ha, We just call it like it is!

Urinating on detainees
Jumping on detainee's leg (a limb already wounded by gunfire) with such force that it could not thereafter heal properly
Continuing by pounding detainee's wounded leg with collapsible metal baton
Pouring phosphoric acid on detainees
Sodomization of detainees with a baton
Tying ropes to the detainees' legs or penises and dragging them across the floor.

Banks Lead Decline in U.S. Stocks on Concern Over More Losses
Share | Email | Print | A A A

By Lynn Thomasson

Sept. 1 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks fell for a third day, the longest losing streak for the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index since June, as concern banks will post more losses overshadowed manufacturing and housing data that topped economist estimates.

Wells Fargo & Co. slid the most in two weeks even after saying it will pay back government bailout funds soon. Bank of America Corp. declined 6.4 percent to lead the Dow Jones Industrial Average lower. American International Group Inc. plummeted 21 percent and MetLife Inc. tumbled 7.4 percent after analysts said the insurers’ shares have risen too far, too fast. Europe’s benchmark stock index retreated 1.8 percent.///
