Today's Rasmussen Poll Reveals Independents Waking Up

INDEPENDENTS TURNING STRONGLY AGAINST THE SO CALLED REFORM OF HEALTH CARE.
Sixty-two percent (62%) of UNAFFILIATED voters now oppose the health care plan, and 51% are strongly opposed. This marks an uptick in strong opposition among both Republicans and unaffiliateds,

OPPONENTS INTENSELY STRONGLY OPPOSE; THOSE IN FAVOR ARE LUKEWARM
44% of all voters strongly oppose the health care reform effort versus 26% who strongly favor it.

44% of Democratic voters strongly favor the reform effort, 70% of GOP voters are strongly opposed to it.

TAX USERS FAVOR, BUT TAX PAYERS OPPOSE
Sixty-seven percent (67%) of those under 30 favor the plan while 56% of those over 65 are opposed. Among senior citizens, 46% are strongly opposed.

My brief response to Rasmussen’s findings:
Now we finally have the vast majority of Americans realizing this plan is a disaster. So, what’s with these Democrats? If this many Americans are this smart, how can that many Democrats be that stupid?

I am thinking Democrats are caught in a bind. By now many of them have to be having second thoughts. At the same time, as a party they cannot afford to fizzle on this. In the town halls, the Democrats are making it clear. They will serve their party.

Watch. 50 of them could decide for the whole country and for the sake of the party, ram it through. Then, they will gamble on the economy picking up by election time and the people getting over their rage.

Never underestimate the elites ability to underestimate us pleebs. It's plain that, whatever the dastardly intentions, their concern for America's best interest are not paramount.

Why do you oppose Obama's health care plan?

How much of the propaganda and lies are you buying from those wanting to keep insurance companies rationing health care and dictating for profit and greed what treatment you can have?

POV, I cannot speak for Gregg, but one of the reasons I oppose socialized medicine is the propaganda and lies coming from your side and the blatant refusal of your side to hear the truth. no wonder people are not "respectful" of politicians at town hall meetings. Respect is earned, not given.

Guy

What do you believe would happen? What are your conserns?

I don't believe even you are foolish enough to believe the lies being spread by those protecting the insurance industry.

You plan to join Medicare soon will you be a socialist then?

What's the difference?

Lib,

I have to agree with Guy, the lies and propaganda from Obama and the left make them untrustworthy even if you could make a Constitutional argument for universal health care, which you can't.

I'll even do something you would never ever do, tell you the lies and propaganda I speak of. Obama recently said that he never said he supported a single-payer system. He did and there's the tape to prove it. He lied. He says his plan doesn't affect those who already have and like their insurance but page 16, section 1 exposes that lie. That's the house plan which he has not said he prefers over the 4 senate committee plans which we have not seen. One has to assume that is the plan he refers to when he says "my plan" because he has no plan. There's your propaganda. Now, about those "death panels" Sarah Palin referred to, the house has now removed the language that Obama says didn't exist. She was right and it could fairly be said that she is driving this debate.

Finally, insurance companies "dictate" nothing and I'm all for them making profit.

Do you believe in Karma?

"Finally, insurance companies "dictate" nothing and I'm all for them making profit."

What if it's you or a family member that is denied coverage for greed and profit?

You Republicans are like a guy I once knew who's mule died. The man decided to have a raffel for the dead mule, but of course those buying the raffel didn't know the mule was dead. I ask if he did have a lot of angry people and his reply was only one and I gave him his money back.

You Republicans are buying a raffel on at least a sick mule with your health insurance and will never know if it's good until you have an expensive illiness unless you are like blogger and have a government supported plan like medicare.

The premise is flawed and the question is irrelevant and stupid.

I gave Lib examples of lies and propaganda and he had no rebuttal. It would be nice to know with specificity what lies and propaganda he was talking about. How 'bout it Lib?

The lie that we can't do better being 37th in the world in quality of health care. The lie that we can't afford to cover all Americans.

The lies that world will end if this health care bill passes.

What fools! Does your computer not have google search? See the results of countries with universal health care not hear the boogie man stories from those profiting from your stupidity.

Insurance companies don't deny anyone treatment. They simply don't pay for certain things. They do this to maintain a paltry 3 point 3 percent profit margin. In the Clinton years, Hillarycare would have prosecuted patient and doctor for buying medical treatments that the government wouldn't pay for. It's in her book. There are other ways to reduce healthcare costs without giving the system to bureaucrats. Healthcare will be not be improved by adding 40 million more people on the books without increasing the number of doctors. For the government to require everyone to buy the amount of insurance that the politicians think we should have is strange coming from the same people that claim to be pro choice.

Gregg said...

Lib,

I have not heard your "lies" repeated by anyone. "The world will end..."?! I gave you specifics, you give me hate. Typical.

RT,

It seems to me that it would be cheaper and better if the government just bought insurance from the private sector for those who can't afford it. Sure, that's fraught with it's own unconstitutional problems but it solves the problems Obama says he wants to solve at a fraction of the cost.

Are you aware of the success of health care in countries with universal health care and fact their cost for better health care is much less than the US cost( percentage of GNP )?

Societies can be judged on how the treat the least among them.

The US figures would be much worst if not for Government run Medicare for the elderly.

Gregg said...

No lib, you said I believed lies and propaganda. That's a serious charge. Back it up as I did when I accused you of the same thing. If you do that then we can move on to discuss the failure of medicare and the demagoguery of the only serious effort to fix it.

Students, teachers and local pastors are protesting over a court case involving a northern Florida school principal and an athletic director who are facing criminal charges and up to six months in jail over their offer of a mealtime prayer.

There have been yard signs, T-shirts and a mass student protest during graduation ceremonies this spring on behalf of Pace High School Principal Frank Lay and school athletic director Robert Freeman, who will go on trial Sept. 17 at a federal district court in Pensacola for breaching the conditions of a lawsuit settlement reached last year with the American Civil Liberties Union.

"I have been defending religious freedom issues for 22 years, and I've never had to defend somebody who has been charged criminally for praying," said Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, the Orlando-based legal group that is defending the two school officials.

Lemming,

We are not aware of those countries. Do you mean England where 90 percent of the population has stained, ugly looking teeth? I have traveled extensively over Europe and the far east and can say, without a doubt, that our health care is head and shoulders above everyone elses. If not then how come folks come from Europe to recieve treatment at Johns Hopkins? They obviously aren't going to Paris, London, Brisbane, Oslo, or Berlin now are they?

LOL!!!!!!!

PS Why do Canadian stream across the border into the US to recieve health care that they PAY FOR? Uh huh, because it is a system that is easy to use and works!!!!!!!

Faustian Bargain?

Pundits agree the Obama administration tried to avoid the mistake of the Clintons who sent a pre-package health care proposal to the Congress. So, instead he just handed the ball to Congress and said, “You do it.”

Congress had a 22% approval rating with a Speaker at 30%, and a Democrat Senate Majority leader at 14. Does anyone else think it was pretty stupid to expect Americans to buy a pig in a poke from people they so disliked and distrusted?
