Becoming Road Kill Working For Obama

Obama tells Holder not to investigate the past administration. Holder does it anyway. Most informed people warn Holder he is undermining the CIA. Lacking good intelligence, we get attacked by El Queda. Even though everyone knows Holder had a green light from the top, Obama can claim he told Holder not to. Holder goes under the bus.

Meanwhile, Leon Panetta, had been promised the administration would not screw up his agency with investigations. Holder does it anyway, and Panetta heads straight to the source of his betrayal, the White House. Rumor has it they had already contacted Panetta’s replacement. Panetta, under the bus.

Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Resources is sent out to Sunday talk shows to float the idea of no government controlled health care. The Left goes nuclear. The White House declares she misspoke, leaving the impression she isn’t even in the loop.

Tammy Duckworth, Assistant Secretary of Veterans Affairs is sent out to Sunday talk shows to defend the VA “death book.” She has been rehearsed, probably by Press Secretary Gibbs, to declare the book is in revision. It isn’t. It’s in use. She looks like a liar. Duckworth, under the bus.

Obama appoints his Secretaries of Departments. Then he undercuts them with 30 plus czars each of whom can be mischief makers for those who were suppose to be have authority.

How would you like to work for a boss like Obama?

Blogger-

There may BE a pattern there. I think the liberals thought his preacher and his grandma were going to be the only human speed bumps for Obama.
Someone might want to check on Biden and see if he's under the Obama bus too, again.
I remember when JFK threw the CIA under the bus when he failed to supply promised air support for the Bay of Pigs fighters. Hmmmm.

How about a post on the passing of Senator Edward Kennedy, and the 2500 pieces of legislation he helped get passed that has enriched the lives of all Americans.

How old would Mary Jo be today? What would she have accomplished in her life?

Thanks! Now we have that out of the way lets get to how Senator Kennedy worked to make America a better country.

Ed Kennedy 1964

"Senator Kennedy makes his maiden speech to the Senate on the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which was signed on July 2, 1964, and outlawed segregation in public accommodations. He also strongly supported the Economic Opportunity Act, a key bill in President Johnson’s war on poverty, which was signed on August 20, 1964. The Act stated that programs would be "developed, conducted and administered with the maximum feasible participation and the residents of the areas and members of the groups served." It also established community action programs to deal directly with the roots of poverty. In the fall election, Robert Kennedy was elected to the Senate by New York."

POV, Have you asked JW at the other site to post about the passing of senator Kennedy?

It is indeed hypocritical to change what you have to say about someone just because he died. Nothing has changed.

Mr. Kennedy was an alcohol abusing, womanizing, liberal whose political policies hurt this country and who may have literally gotten away with murder. He is still an alcohol abusing, womanizing, liberal whose political policies hurt this country and who may have literally gotten away with murder. However, he is now a dead alcohol abusing, womanizing, liberal whose political policies hurt this country and who may have literally gotten away with murder.

This is not graceless or lacking compassion, but simple consistency of opinion. - Just Call Me Bill

The above was posted on GoBlueRidge.net in response to a post indicating no one should criticize Mr. Kennedy because of his death. Nothing was said about not criticizing Hitler, Stalin, or Hussein (Saddam not Obama) which is surprising as they are despicable people that also happen to be dead. The Left has to realize that while Kennedy may have been a God to them, he was not well liked by moderates and conservatives. Most of the major policies Mr.Kennedy supported failed, thank God. He was not that successful.

I said I would not mention the Border Patrol agent that was murdered again, but I feel the need to wonder publicly why Mr. Obama decided not to order flags to be flown at half mast for agent Rosas but feels Mr. Kennedy deserves it even though the practice is not used for all senators.

Back to the topic of the thread. It is not surprising that Obama will sacrifice those working for him. He is willing to sacrifice the entire country to further his socialist agenda. He is even willing to sacrifice his Presidency and the Democrat party in order to do so.

Was this not important legislation that made us a better country?

1965

The first major bill that Senator Kennedy managed on the Senate floor was the Immigration Act of 1965. It was enacted and stood as a major turning point in immigration and civil rights policy because it eliminated discriminatory immigration quotas which favored European immigration, but restricted immigration from other parts of the world. The 1965 Act gave priority to immigrants based on their skills and family relationships. Senator Kennedy also won passage of a bill establishing The National Teacher Corps, which awarded scholarships to college students who agreed to teach for at least two years in economically-distressed rural and urban areas after graduation, a program which continues today. He was also a strong and vocal supporter of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, to end discrimination against minorities in voting.

POV. Kennedy was also for socialized medicine, he was for amnesty for illegal alien criminals, he was despicable in his comments on Robert Bourk during the confirmation hearings, he enslaved the poor of all races by trying to create entitlement programs designed to keep them in poverty in order to secure their votes. his scholarships were used to spread left wing academia propaganda in rural areas, it was a matter of opinion as to whether whites were favored in immigration policies - the bill you mention could be considered affirmation action or reverse discrimination, and many conservatives also supported the voting rights act.

Mr. Kennedy was a mediocre senator at best. His entire career was built on the tragedy of the murders of his two much more conservative brothers. If not for the Kennedy "dynasty" and their fame, he would never have been elected in the first place, even in Massachusetts. Even this fame could not overcome the distaste of the country at large for his lifestyle. His flagrant disregard of the law at Chappaquiddick sealed his doom as far as the Presidency or any other federal political office was concerned.

I am not going to debate every piece of ridiculous legislation Ted Kennedy supported with you. You loved him and his policies whiled I opposed most of them to an equal degree. We are going to have to leave it at that. While you may think Kennedy was a God, many think he was a buffoon.

Now maybe we can return to the point of Blogger's thread which you seem to want to avoid for some reason.

Are you opposed to the public health depts?

1966

"Senator Kennedy passed legislation creating the national community health center program. He joined a health center in Columbia Point in Dorchester, Massachusetts, with a center in Mound Bayou, Mississippi as the start of a national program that now includes more that 1200 health centers nationally serving more than 20 million low income patients."

1967 & 1968

Senator Kennedy was a strong supporter of the school reforms in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the first comprehensive federal aid for public schools. He also made his first speech that openly questioned the Vietnam War.
1968
Senator Kennedy was a strong supporter of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, the third major civil rights legislation of the decade after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

As a result of Senator Kennedy's championing of bilingual education, the Bilingual Education Act of 1968 was passed by Congress. The Act required schools to offer bilingual education programs, the first time Congress had endorsed funding for bilingual education. Senator Kennedy was also a leading supporter of President Johnson’s Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act

Blogger, do you think that Obama's constant undermining of everyone he works with will eventually cause those in the left wing of the Legislature in both the House and Senate to distrust him to the point that it will lessen his effectiveness in achieving his political agenda?

POV, I said I would no longer debate Kennedy's policies with you, at least on this thread. Unlike you and the rest of the left, I say what I mean and mean what I say.

Obama is throwing Al Gore (inventor of the internet) under the bus:

by Declan McCullagh

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.
They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency.

I don’t know if you know this or not, but one of his favorite topics of humor was indeed Chappaquiddick itself. And he would ask people, “have you heard any new jokes about Chappaquiddick?” That is just the most amazing thing. It’s not that he didn’t feel remorse about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, but that he still always saw the other side of everything and the ridiculous side of things, too.

BTW Lib and BB this came from an NPR show, so you have to believe it.

You and others here have supported such perversions.

I don't know the details of that night at Chappaquiddick nor do you, I do know it was not Senator Kennedy's finest hour. I do believe it was an accident, Chappaquiddick did not change the quality of work Senator Edward Kennedy accomplished in the senate.

Senator Kennedy never advocated human rights abuses as Dick Cheney did and still does with your support.
