Blogger, while I have long used the term Messiah for Obama, I was always being facetious. I was making fun of how liberals acted toward him. Until you posted this video, I never realized many of them do apparently worship him. Color me naive, abashed, and dumbfounded. That grown people could actually act this way toward a political figure is so distasteful it is surreal.

These people can vote. They prove the importance of the US Constitution. If there was no Constitution, Obama would be Dear Leader or Emperor.
The constitution has to be defended at all costs. Then, people like the ones in the video, make no difference.

Liberalism is their religion after-all.

These people are desprate for justice and a true voice in Washington.

A young person I know from church related a story to me not long ago. In high school, the pledge is recited every day, but there is no requirement that all must stand and recite. A good many students, liberal leaning according to this young person, would never stand. Then, the day after the election last November, one outspoken liberal jumped to their feet to recite the pledge, only, when they reached the line, "One nation under God," they stated, "One nation under Obama." This attitude is more pervasive among liberals than even they are willing to admit -- just look at Lib's post above and his attempt to explain everything away. Lib will continue to swear the emperor has clothes til his dying day.

We have a lot that needs fixing in this country.

We have decades of failed leaders or at least leaders that disappointed us.

I think most agrees maybe for different reasons Bush II was a failure as was his father.

Clinton while very smart failed to achieve what was possible because of his personal failures.

Carter while a very good and smart man failed to have the political skills to achieve his goals and need agenda.

Reagan while not so bright was a very skilled politicians but lead us in the wrong direction many of todays problems can be traced to Reagan.

Nixon cost us half the death in Vietnam for nothing
and a great disappointment to the whole country.

We liberals do desperately want a smart president with political skills to solve the nations huge problems.

If some Oboma supporters are over zealous your side can do nothing productive, just heckle and pretent nothing is wrong.

Sarkazein said...

Povvy-

In your own way, haven't you just explained to yourself WHY government is NOT the ANSWER?

Liberal POV said...

Sark

Like it or not government has to work for us.

We as a nation cannot compete with China, India, Japan, European Union, and Canada without infrastructure, education and health care supported by a functioning government. The world continues to get smaller with a larger and larger population.

Technology is changing at a pace few of us can began to follow.

We need forward thinkers I hope Obama is that person. I know Bill Clinton was that type person as was Jimmy Carter. Al Gore is such a person.

Who are others or who would you replace these with if you disagree?

Who do you have on the right that can meet that description?

guy faulkes said...

Actually, POV, our side has kept this country great for over 200 years with only occasional setbacks from your side.

Lets go down your list.

Both Bushes were big government proponents that abandoned their base. I will give you this one. They were failures because of they stabbed the conservatives that elected them in the back.

Clinton was a lying womanizer who was impeached but not thrown out of office by a partisan Senate. He was forced to move from his far left policies to the center when his policies lost his party the control of Congress.

Carter was arguably the worst President of all time. His only accomplishment was to make Clinton look less inept. He failed in every thing from the hostage situation to the economy. His administration gave birth to the word malaise and the idea that the United States had seen its greatest days.

Reagan was probably one of the three best Presidents of all time. he restored the country to greatness, fixed the Carter economic fiasco, and won the cold war.

Nixon inherited the war from Jonson who increased the role of the U.S. after Kennedy's assignation. Kennedy was a conservative Democrat NRA life member that was leaning toward withdrawing from Vietnam. Nixon initiated the relationship between China and the U.S. He withdrew from Vietnam. He was a poster child for what the liberals wanted to accomplish. I assume you tally the other half of the deaths you mention to Johnson.

If you liberals wanted a smart President with the political skills to solve the nation's problems, you sure got fooled by Obama.

We can do something about Obama and his policies. We can make the conservative and moderate Democrats realize that supporting his far left policies is political suicide in order to stop his policies now. We can take back Congress in 2010. We can defeat Obama in 2012.

We can not only compete with the countries POV mentioned, we can outproduce them. We just have to get rid of the government regulations that keep us from doing it. We also have to get rid of the unions those regulations were passed to reward by liberal politicians.

guy faulkes said...

Damn! Another double post! Sorry! I do not know how this keep happening except that I have been having trouble with my connection to the net.

Sarkazein said...

How is that all of the sudden we can not compete with countries that have eaten our dust for generations?
Maxed out government control. The more the government, the less the ability to compete... you see it happened... it is as plain as day, yet the Liberal wants more of the same. It could not be any clearer.

The people in the video were not starving to death (obviously), got to the protest site somehow, didn't have chains around their legs and weren't singing Mammy. They are just extremely misguided people, easily led down the path of self imposed slavery by praying to a mortal Massa. This is what liberalism has done to these poor souls.

This undermines the conservative message of war, despair, ignorance, greed and injustice.

How many NASCAR fans without any teeth prayed for Bush to become elected? Lots of them. What did we get? The worst president in history.

A few people pray for Obama in a country that cannot separate religion from politics, so what? The right has no problem with religion when it is bringing out Cletus and Feetus from Nebraska to vote for the party that is all about guns, ultranationalism, and being a true American. Don't steal my truck or I'll shoot ya with my gun.

The Evangelicals and Christian Fundamentalists bring out the vote in a way that drawfs this sort of thing in exponential terms. So forgive me if this seems a whole lot like hypocrisy.

"How many NASCAR fans without any teeth prayed for Bush to become elected?"

Typically condescending attitude of a liberal. They will insult and deride the "poor" and then tell us how much we have to help them. Yeah, the liberal attitude is really one of love and concern for the poor -- NASCAR being a pastime a lot of poorer people enjoy.

"What did we get? The worst president in history."

Actually, that was Carter, to be followed soon by Obey-me.

Only a liberal who is so hostile to religion can so misunderstand it. Maybe if they would attend church every once in a while, they would realize that their opinion is based on ignorance and superstition. My minister is about as republican as you can get (I have the great privilege of knowing him well outside the pulpit). Every Sunday morning during invocation he prays for our President and leaders in Congress, that God will give them the wisdom and strength to make decisions beneficial to the country. There is a huge difference in praying TO the Almighty FOR someone and praying TO someone.

Sarkazein said...

Just out of curiosity, is there anybody other than Anonymous that can draw some kind of comparison to the religious Right getting out the vote and the religious Left praying to Obama? HOPEfully this comment marks the end of any even remotely rational argument defending the Obama Messiah Complex.
But I would like to know if any other Liberals are capable of drawing a similar comparison.

"This is a picture of David Letterman applauding himself for having sex with some of his office staff" - Sark

Is it possible he is proud of himself for moving on from self abuse? He is certainly a fan of the liberal mental masturbation mind set in which they like to praise themselves about their beliefs while denying other people's right to an opinion by calling them evil, silly, or stupid and praying to their Messiah Obama.

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes-

I haven't heard all of letterman's announcement, but I did hear him say he had "SEX" with them. Not an affair, where that would mean he cared about these women...no, just used them for SEX. This somehow is better in the liberal's eyes.
It is like Whoopi saying about Palanski, it wasn't rape rape. Somehow the victim who had less of a chance to fend off the rape with self-defense or wit because she was only 13 and had been drugged, somehow is not as bad as rape rape.
Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

Think it's the message and leadership rather than the people. Fear is the tool that gets the people to buy the Message of This undermines the conservative message of war, despair, ignorance, greed, polution and injustice.

Has anyone been watching the Ken Burns speacial on PBS on the National Parks?

Send back the two big jets and the hundreds of staffers...Obama couldn't even do a mayor's job.

guy faulkes said...

Sark, I have absolutely no idea of most of what POV was trying to say. The sentences were incomplete and very disjointed. POV sill have to repost in a more coherent manner for either of us to be able to understand.

No, POV, I do not watch PBS. They make NBC look like Fox News and I cannot tolerate the constant begging they do asking for support for their broadcasting. To tell you the truth, I think government funding should be taken from them. If the free market does not support them, they really have little cause to exist. This is a shame because they used to have some good shows on music and art that sponsors would probably support if they were not so biased and did not eat up over half their airtime begging for donations.

guy faulkes said...

Sark, I shold have typed will instead of still in MY disjointed sentence.

I forgot to comment on your post that Letterman was after sex and not a relationship. I had not researched the issue beyond your initial comment. It does appear he was using his staff as a harem. It makes one wonder how he had time to put down conservatives.

It is a pity the man that discovered this issue tried to extort Letterman instead of breaking the story as a news item. The focus is now on him rather than Letterman.

Would any body want Obama to endorse them or anything they cared about? Being around him is like having the plague. We may not get the Olympics again for 100 years.

oatz said...

I think we should all pray for those racists Olympic officials who ignored Obamas plea for Chicago's Olympic bid rather than all those poor souls out of work.

The unemployment rate continues to rise even though the Obama Administration promised that it would not exceed 8% if the non-Stimulus Plan was passed.
The AP reported:

The unemployment rate rose to 9.8 percent in September as employers cut far more jobs than expected, evidence that the longest recession since the 1930s is still inflicting widespread pain.

The Labor Department said Friday that the economy lost a net total of 263,000 jobs last month, up from a downwardly revised 201,000 in August. That's above Wall Street economists' expectations of 180,000 job losses, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters.

The unemployment rate rose from 9.7 percent in August, matching expectations.

If laid-off workers who have settled for part-time work or have given up looking for new jobs are included, the unemployment rate rose to 17 percent, the highest on records dating from 1994.

More than a half-million unemployed people gave up looking for work last month. Had they continued searching, the official jobless rate would have been higher.

All told, 15.1 million Americans are now out of work, the department said. Hope and Change anyone?

Sarkazein said...

How bizarre is it that Michelle used the history of her ailing father to try and get the Olympics. How obvious is that.
I used to know a vacuum cleaner salesman that tugged on a nose hair to make his eyes water as a sympathy close.
The Obamas and their radical friends rake America over the coals on a regular basis, then expect others to want to but it.

Sarkazein said...

That should be "buy it", not "but it", but I guess the Olympic committee showed the Obamas theirs.

Sarkazein said...

Another really funny thing was the looks on the faces of the Chicago crowd gathered to hear the choice.
It was like they saw the Emperor's junk as they realized he had no clothes.

guy faulkes said...

Oatz, the numbers used to determine the unemployment rate do not begin to cover the number of people that are out of work. The unemployment rate is calculated from those that draw unemployment benefits. Locally there are many small business and self employed people who are out of work and do not qualify for these benefits. If they are lucky, they may get to work a day or two every couple of weeks. If these people were counted nationwide, the unemployment rate would be half again as large if not double.

maybe we should calculate how Obama is doing using Carter's misery index. It may be a little early for that as the inflation that will be caused by the porkulas bill has not yet arrived.
