'Twas the Week Before Christmas* By CFIF Staff

'Twas the Week Before Christmas By CFIF Staff
Thursday, December 17 2009
'Twas the week before Christmas, when Congress met,
So eager they were, to pile on the debt;
They knew it was wrong, deep down in their core,
But golly gee whiz, they must spend, spend some more;
With constituents distracted by holiday cheer,
Why, this was their chance, to spend more this year;
So the politicians huddled, they plotted, they planned,
$1 trillion, $2 trillion, how much could they scam?
And that’s when it happened, Reid and Pelosi stood up,
“What’s another $2 trillion, the voters are chumps!”
They raised the debt ceiling with nary a care,
And once that was done, they didn’t stop there;
More rapid than eagles, agendas were set,
They whistled and shouted, “No, we’re not done yet!”
“On health care, on taxes, on Carbon Cap-and-Trade,
“We’ll say it’s the rich, but everyone pays!”
“And for those who oppose us,” Reid and Pelosi insist,
“One call to the White House, you’re on the enemies list!”
And so they proceeded with their devilish plans,
Big government to all, constituents be damned.

Man that hit's home with the news that that the Senate will vote on their version of health care reform on Christmas Eve. Hat tip to Sen. Coburn for pulling the trigger on the parliamentary game that kicked the can down the road to the 24th. That was regular fare when the Dems were in the minority, they'll howl about it now.

The last thing Reid wants is for Senators to go home for Christmas and listen to their constituents.

Why is that?

A piece of legislation this large and this controversial being passed with bribes, threats, and diversion, is why I refer to the Left as Marxist thugs. We go over 200 years without nationalized health-care, but now we cannot go past Christmas without it. What a big fat lie. Christmas Eve they will be high-5-'ing eachother for their complete lack of ethics and their victory over freedom and the individual.

I have searched and searched for information on how this is going to affect us. Does anyone have a good link showing the exact details? I don't think the liberals have a clue themselves.

I should have said small business.

Blogger, can the health bill ever be reversed, if the situation changes in three years? I don't know enough about the laws of bills passed to know.

I did find out what I needed to know, but still don't know if it's correct. From what I understand, it goes by the payroll amount. Am I correct Guy and Honest? Small employers will be exempt from a penalty or paying for insurance, if under $500,000? If we are exempt, we will all fall under this taxable (free) health insurance. This is a nightmare.

Reader-

If that is true, the $500K figure, anyone can see where an employer would hold from hiring or increasing payroll as long as they could before throwing themselves in to another bureaucratic maze.
Then if the employer does decide to grow, does she have to add anther employee to handle the mandate? I can see where hiring and pay-raises can be severely retarded by Obama. Even now, someone like yourself that pays attention, is unclear on the future. Even the Congress people don't know what's involved.
