John Needs A Job

I don't know who wrote this but its funny.

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA)was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG) He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA) After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) filled it with gas (FROM SAUDI ARABIA) and continued his search for a good paying American job.

At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (MADE IN MALAYSIA), John decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL), poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA.

AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM A PRESIDENT... MADE IN KENYA.

If he is, he is responsible for the CHANGE in this country's manufacturing process that cost him his job.

Bushrod Gentry said...

Overtaxing and over-regulating have driven investments and manufacturing out of this country. A Fair Tax or a Flat Tax would go a long way toward bringing jobs back to the United States.

guy faulkes said...

Add to Bushrod's comment lowering or repealing corporate taxes that drive jobs overseas.

The best reasoning I have heard for a national sales tax to replace income tax is that foreign made goods would be taxed at the same rate as American goods, thereby reducing alot of the foreign goods cost advantage.

Sarkazein said...

The national sales tax would have to be in lieu of income tax. Tax returns are ridiculous.
The Left is talking about a VAT plus keeping the income tax. Place the national sales tax on lotto tickets, Bush beer, cigarettes, cell phones, and rims.
The national debt would be paid off in 6 years.

The Democrats should hire THIS MAN to explain the 2,700+ pages of Obama-care.

guy faulkes said...

Sark, that is indeed an interesting idea, if I understnad it correctly. Are you saying if the items used disproportionally by those caught in entitlement slavery were to be the principle source of VAT tax revenue, that this might bring them to their senses?

Sarkazein said...

Guy Faulkes, it's worth a try. A 20% tax per over your size pants would be a good idea also.

HD and GOP

The biggest problem with todays republican party including tea bag mob and conservatives is that you have no empathy.

John the fictitious man in your fictions story is not the Republican CEO that started building widgets in all of these countries. The CEO that shipped all of these jobs around the world to drive down the cost of labor is real.

Here you the mob are quick to demonize fictitious John because he is a poor working man.

Maybe republicans have got passed the color line but the same bigotry is still there against those with economic difficulties the working poor.

Much of the wealth in our country today came out of the pockets and on the backs of the working poor.

Now you have Guy wanting to slap the same tax fictitious on a working family living on less than a living wage as the CEO who sent the jobs around the world making million destroying Americans families and has more homes than they can count and obsessed with wealth.

Now the Republicans have propaganda networks to build straw men to keep those that live poor voting rich.

This networks is constantly working to blame THEM people sometimes creating fictitious THEMs as with John or Illeagal alianes

I'm not the one attacking the people down on their luck and without political power. I'm not the one spending the day listening to the fear and hate media.

Honest Debate said...

Vicious Hate:

Paragraph 1)"tea bag mob", "no empathy"

Paragraph 2) You imply all CEOs are Republicans screwing the American worker.

Paragraph 3) You accuse me on "demonizing" the poor working man when I demonized no one. Show me where I did. I like John, good man. He's not poor either. He wears dress shirts form Sri Lanka and designer jeans from Singapore. His car from Germany is most likely a Mercedes.

Paragraph 4) ditto #3 plus I'm a bigot

Paragraph 5) Stupid hate with no basis in fact

Paragraph 6) "...slap the same tax fictitious on a working family..." I don't know what that means but the rest of the paragraph is "fictitious". Where did you get this "working poor" idea? I see nothing about that anywhere. Lying is vicious hate.

Paragraph 7&8) Gibberish. Are you talking about George Soros?

"I'm not the one attacking the people down on their luck and without political power." Who is? Where?

"I'm not the one spending the day listening to the fear and hate media." I thought you said you listened to NPR.

That's way way more of a response than you deserve. You're welcome.

I must disagree. Over regulation because of liberal legislation, excessive taxation, and union malfeasance have driven our jobs overseas. This is not funny although the opening of the thread is humorous.

I have to wonder if liberalproverbs18:2 is not embarrassed to continue to oppose the efforts to curtail illegal aliens. I guess not as he supports organizations that help with establishing houses of prostitution featuring underage illegal aliens. I did think the passage of the law in Arizona that enables state and local law enforcement officers to enforce immigration laws would give him pause as would the reaming Congress is giving the Obama administration over the rancher that was murdered by the illegal alien. Oh well, maybe pedophilia is more important to him.

Liberalproverbs18:2, glad to see you back. Have you had time to come up with some answers to the questions you ran from?

Honest Debate said...

I would like to see corporate tax rates lowered, regulations loosened and unions neutered to put Americans in a better position to compete. However, the theme of the post does not bother me. I'm not an isolationist. It's a global marketplace and that genie cannot be put back in the bottle. That's fine. There is much more opportunity for the working man. I went to get a belt for my mower and the man at the hardware store told me he shipped $90 worth of parts ($182 in shipping) to France yesterday. He said it happens everyday to places all over the world. The business thrives, jobs are created and money is pumped into the local economy...and I fixed my mower.

The post is funny that's all. It wasn't meant to slam Obama or the administration and its policies. I have no idea how Lib inferred anyone was attacking the working poor.

Your post suggest John' s decisions in what he buy is the reason we have a shortage of living wage jobs.

That should have read.

Now you have Guy wanting to slap the same tax on a working family living on less than a living wage as the CEO who sent the jobs around the world making million destroying Americans families and has more homes than they can count and obsessed with wealth.

Assuring all Americans have access to health care and education and workers have a living is far more important then assuring the corporate royality can purchase more stuff they don't need'

Put people first.

What tax are you referring to Liberalproverbs18:2?

By the way how does a sniper rifle differ from a deer hunting rifle? How does an "assault rifle" differ from any othe asemi-automatic rifle? What about the anti-gun Jim Crow laws? You brought up issues that require thee answers and more.

You being the weapons expert, what weapons would you ban from the general public?

Land mines?

anti aircraft weapons?

tanks?

machine guns?

No Lib, I suggested no such thing. Actually I didn't suggest anything at all. I just posted something I thought was funny and, as my last post said, I have no problem with John's choices. Why do you assume John is poor? He's rich. Same story, still funny.

I would follow the guidelines of Miller vs. the U.S. as decided by the Supreme Court in 1938 in which the Court said that weapons regularly carried by the military are protected under the second amendment.

Did you know that all of the things you mentioned can be and are owned by private citizens in this country?

Now answer my questions.

"Do you think the number one exporter of terrorism (Iran) should have nukes?"

No, but that doesn't mean I want to see us start another war.

You and the other conservative hawks have far more patriotism than common sense or logic. The US has been at war for ten years wearing out men, women and equipment. These wars have wrecked our economy. Conservatives can't seem to connect the cost of war and taxes. We are in a weaker position to deal with Iran because of decisions made during the Bush Adm. The people of Iran are divided like the US population with the conservatives in power wanting religion in government or a theocracy the liberals and youth want to engage with the larger world as Obama and liberal here. A US or Israeli attack would unit the country around the more conservative faction. The Iranian government seems to have taken a page from the Heritage Foundation of power from confrontation, corporation with the rest of the world would end boths power.

Guy

I don't think military style weapons designed for the killing of human being during war should be in the hands of the general public.

Weapons for the protection of ones home, shot guns and small hand gun 22 to 45 cal are seem reasonable to me.

Big powerful weapons of war should not be allowed for use by the general public just so you and others with a gun fetish can get aroused. Gun porn should be limited to gun magazines and video and perhaps a shooting range similar to a strip joints for those without a gun fetish to be aroused. Guns seem to be a form of porn for you.

Officers of the court and others who may have dangerous occupations ( bail bondsman, drug dealers, collection agents, repo persons ) may have additional needs for a weapon to be considered.

When would you make it illegal to possess a weapon, mental health issues, assault charges, felons?

guy faulkes said...

I will answer your questions when you answer the res of mine. Start with the fact the .223 round used in the standard military weapon is of such a small caliber and is lacking in power to the point one cannot legally use it to hunt deer. How does an AR15 function differently than any other semi-automatic? How does a sniper rifle function differently than a deer or varmint rifle? What is your opinion of the anti-gun Jim Crow laws and the No Guns for Negroes video? What is the standard handgun caliber for the military? Did you just approve of one more powerful? Why?

Back up what you say.

A supporter of pedophilia such as yourself should avoid the subject of any kind of porn.
