Wish I’d have said it first.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Oatz- I agree. It is like watching the Jerry Springer Show. It's not the guests on stage that make me worry, it is the audience.

H.D- He just keeps on insulting a huge percentage of people. The protestors are just to stupid to understand how it really is... in his mind.
I guaranty in a crowd of 1000 Tea Party protestors, 999 know more about how the economy works than he does.

You guys are great! Oatz, I've seen that quote before but don't recall where or who said it. It's dead on. Do we treat the symptom or search for a cure? And Sark, the analogy is perfect...and funny...and insightful...and what I've come to expect from you.

Honest Debate said...

Sark,

Blogger posted this but I agree completely and you just validated, again, my previous comments which I posted before I read your latest.

Mocking the opposition by the President is a really stupid thing to do. It will only fuel the Tea Party and other Independents who, until now, were waiting things out. Hope he keeps doing stupid thing after stupid thing.

Tea Party Mob

I find the Tea Party movement silly and filled with misinformed Fox news groupies.

The irony of people on medicare who may not be alive today if not for the medicare program protesting young working families who don't make a living wage be allowed access the America's medical system.

The irony of those paying less taxes under Obama and getting a two refunds in the middle of last year protesting Obama's tax policy.

Tax on the wealthy is at an all time low and these people are complaining about the deficit but don't want to pay more taxes.

Most Tea Party members are Republicans, most supported the invasion of Iraq and Bush tax cuts on the wealthy which has lead to the huge budget short falls.

The Tea Party movement is a mob being incited by right wing wealth with tools of Fox News, Fear media and right wing blogs.

As a mob can be unpredictable and destructive.

The Tea Party has no answers to todays problems , no leadership, and no purpose other than to stop reform.

HD posted a list of cliches that conterdicted each other.

The Tea Party should be seen for what it is a bunch of silly misinformed old fart Fox News groupies.

And once again, Liberalproverbs18:2 graces us with his same old talking points. The idiot does not either know or admit that a large portion of the Tea Party movement is is comprised of Independents and Democrats that have seen the light.

Liberalroverbs18:2, until you answer question about your statements and at least once in a while express an original thought, you will have no credence. La La La La La does not cut it anymore.

Sark- In Houston did an armed citizen stop a drug crazed carjacker with their licensed hand gun aboard a bus?

Liberal POV said...

Blogger

Did you get the $250.00 stimulas check in 2009 from the US Government that Obama is president of?

Sarkazein said...

Oatz-

For years no one could carry on a bus. That ordinance was appealed recently. This guy was in his own car and went to help the bus driver. He was licensed, but this one may get complicated. Yours is one of the few stories about an armed citizen preventing tragedy. I live here and hadn't heard this story until you commented on it, and I pay attention.

Isn't it amusing that you only present "the same old talking points" and these misinformed and misguided misanthropes (love the alliteration) speak only the true word. These guys are a hoot! Much amusement here. Thanks for being the burr on the conservative manifesto.

And any group which has REEK-O as a member, well, that says it all.

guy faulkes said...

Thank you, BB, for illustrating the truth about liberalproverbs18:2 's talking points. You could not furnish one example of anything he says that he has backed up or any original opinion he presented.

As for Rico, I notice that when it comes to debate, BB runs from her even faster than does Liberalproverbs18:2. This is because BB seldom makes any kind of statement other than a personal attack.

Honest Debate said...

Guy,

I'd agree. Biker Bard's bumbling bashing begets bupkis (love the alliteration).

No, but I did not get anything from the government nor from Obama, but I did get a few of my own dollars returned to me.

Tricycle Lard and liberal socialist sheep,

A contrast here. You two troglydytes are not banned from this site even though you both spout uneducated garbage. It appears that Rodger Young has been banned from Watauga Watch for telling the unconvienant truth again.

Talk about tolerance. Conservatives have always been more tolerant than liberal socialist sheep such as yourself. This is just another example.

What Watauga Watch has done is exactly why people don't want the Fairness Doctrine passed. Your racist and discriminatory ways are as perplexing as they are dangerous.

PS Were you born stupid or did you just get that way somehow?

"It appears that Rodger Young has been banned from Watauga Watch for telling the unconvienant truth again. "

Wasn't that your goal?

Honest Debate said...

Good one Blogger!

Honest Debate said...

One of these days I'm going to have to go check out Watauga Watch and see what the fuss is all about.

I will make this pledge: No one will ever be banned from this site for telling the truth.

Johnny Rico said...

Liberal Socialist Sheep POV,

I can't tell you what Rodger Young's goal was, but it is my bet that Rodger indeed did have a goal in mind. It was probably to expose the fact that liberal socialist sheep (you) are so threatened by free speech that they will stop at nothing to ban or censor it.

Shylock and gang knew immediately that they were outmatched (once again) by someone with sub-par intellect because that person was a free thinker able to make decisions based on stimuli from the surrounding environment as opposed to making rash, uneducated decisions based on emotion.

So, if Rodger's goal was to get banned to prove a point, then he did a fabulous job.

Is this what the Fairness Doctrine is all about?

LOL!!

PS Got a bug problem?

Fmr ACORN head calls Tea Parties "bowel movement" and claims "they're coming after you"

Former ACORN head Bertha Lewis told a group of the Young Democratic Socialists on that they should "do everything [they] can" to build their organization, and then insisted that our times are worse than internment under the Japanese and the years of Jim Crow laws ///

NOT 1 red cent of my tax money should go to this "organization". She is Obama in drag, same political roots.

Well, I went there. Watauga Watch. I finally got around to making a new page (top left of the home page) entitled "Vandalism, Violence, Hateful Rhetoric and Racism - The List". I linked to it on the WW thread "A Note About Commenting". We'll see if it gets past the moderator. Either way the moderator will know in his heart he's been outed.

I went round and round with the title. I originally started with "Hate,Hate,Hate" but I hate that word. The second incarnation was "The Left Is Not Right", too punny, too cute. I settled with "Vandalism, Violence, Hateful Rhetoric and Racism - The List" because I wanted something descriptive but at the same time vague as to who was being referred to. I'm hoping to turn up on search engines and possibly tricking libs looking for hate from the right.

I've previously cut and pasted it on NPR's WFAE.org. Ditto "On Point with Tom Ashbrook" and one other site spewing lies that I came across randomly.

Now we have a link. Please help spread it around if you agree with the sentiment.

Honest Debate said...

It made the cut at WW. I give them credit. I don't like the moderation approval thing but it's their blog they can do what they want including banning.

WASHINGTON — While Goldman Sachs' lawyers negotiated with the Securities and Exchange Commission over potentially explosive civil fraud charges, Goldman's chief executive visited the White House at least four times.///

$900K+ donated by Goldman Sachs.... shades of Gov Blogdonovich(sp) $900K just wasn't quite enough. After-all, look what Soros gave through illegal anonymous foreign donations. Obama pays out big time to Soros. The Goldman Sachs CEO better bring bigger suitcases next time he visits the WH.

Johnny Rico said...

Honest Debate,

I will take a look at the link. I have tried posting several times on the Watch, but the moderator catches me every time. Those libertards ought to just email each other and complete the closed system they so badly want.

The link on Watauga Watch; can I access it through Watauga Watch?

Johnny Rico

Honest Debate said...

Johnny,

Yes, you can link to it from WW. It's the 6th comment on "A Note on Commenting" which I assume was inspired by you.

You can also link to it here. The link is directly on top of "Recent Comments" on the main page.

guy faulkes said...

Rico is correct. The Watch does not want debate. They want total agreement with their views. When they feel threatened about their position, they resort to personal attacks.

As this kind of mental maturation does not interest me, I have not posted there in quite some time. I frankly do not see why MikeD puts up with them. They attack him and in my opinion, MikeD is the poster child of a moderate.

Johnny Rico said...

Thank you Honest Debate. And yes, that thread resulted from my truth telling.

Hey Honest Debate
(snicker, snicker):

So, I've taught you something- alliteration. Here's more:

Wascally wepublicans weep when Watauga Watch wails on WEEK-O's wheteric.
or
"Dishonest" DumDum Doesn't Do Diddly to Discredit Distinguished Democrats.
LOL!

PS: Did Oatz give you permission to cut and paste? And, really! You need to "trick" people to make an irrelevant point? Lame. And sad.

Stay tuned for more lessons.

Honest Debate said...

BB,

Don't flatter yourself. I learned alliteration in high school. I've written songs using the technique before you could even say bumbling biker.

Here's the lyrics to a silly little ditty I recorded in 1992 about dirt track racing.

Honey Let Me Honk Your Horn

I guess you could say I’m a simple guy
I just do my job and I don’t ask why
Bossman gets his forty a week
The rest of the time belongs to me
I know tomorrow’s not as soon as yesterday
So if I miss a little sleep it’ll be okay
And if the good Ford’s willin’ and the creeks don’t rise
I’ll be dirt track racin’ come Friday night

I’ve been working’ nights on my race car
I’ve been getting’ in fights down at the local bar
Wakin’ my friends up in the middle of the night
Gotta’ turn left, don’t worry ‘bout right
She was an old sedan from a cold junkyard
Now she’s fast as fury, smooth as lard
She’s my dirt track date every Friday night
I love that car with all my might

Sugar let me shake your shocks
Take a few laps with me
I’ll rev you ‘til your motor knocks
Cupcake let me keep your key
Darlin’ let me dust your dash
I like the way your leather’s worn
Oh cutie lets clutch and crash
Honey let me honk your horn

I took the checkered flag in a cloud of dirt
Now I get to kiss the girl in the leather skirt
I looked at her, she looked at me
And said you really burned’em back in turn three
When she kissed me I realized that
Finishin’ first wasn’t the only prize
If there was ever a time what better time than now
To say to her the only way I know how

Sugar let me shake ...

Thanks Blogger, I'm always looking for an excuse for shameless self-promotion.

Simon Jester said...

I haven't been here for a while, but I thought I would say that the song is great.

Bet BikerBard doesn't like it because it talks about a girl in a leather skirt instead of a man in a leather suit. I guess he wears leathers.

Thanks to you too Simon Jester. Don't be such a stranger.
