Vent Page XXXV - brought to you in 35 MM Wide Screen !

Here we go at last! A VENT PAGE in the NEW 35MM WIDESCREEN VERSION

Whenever the number of posts on a vent page make it cumbersome to navigate, a new vent page is started. This is number THIRTY FIVE in our series and we're still going strong!

Some Day We Will Have A Color Version!
VENT PAGES are handy for posting of off-topic posts, rants, raves, rages, etc which might not be appropriate on other threads where adults are having serious discussions. Childish rant? Need to call another poster a name?Just feel like spouting off? Or even if you have something to say and there doesn't seem to be any other logical place to say it....THIS PAGE IS FOR YOU!!

Of course we could just as easily have been the "F-35 LIGHTNING VERSION VENT PAGE"...but I kinda like old movies and I thought the 35MM thing made for a pretty good reference~!

Liberal POVS are idiots. Your ole pal.

Clinton was impeached on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice–criminal acts by the chief law enforcer. But, so they can hit Gingrich with rank hypocrisy, the media is back to brainwashing the mentally defective into thinking they remembered the impeachment as being about adultery.

Blogger said...

There have now been two brain freezes which have seriously damaged candidates–Perry and now Romney. My guess is that when asked about his taxes, Romney’s brain was spinning–how to handle Obama’s successful demonizing of the successful. Mitt finally stepped off the booby trap when he said he would not apologize for being successful. However, his hesitation allowed too much time for people to fill in blanks.

Blogger, concerning Clinton/Gingrich, can it not be about both? Clinton lied, Gingrich was officially reprimanded for ethics violations. Clinton committed adultery, Gingrich committed adultery. Personally, they're both kinda scumbags.

If you condemn one, why not condemn both?

Sarkazein said...

Credible women accused one of rape, molestation, sexual harassment, and exhibitionism. Not the other. Throw in the perjury thing and there is no comparison.
You just want there to be a similarity, Jack.

Sarkazein said...

Rape/falling in love with another woman... yeah, that's the same.

Blogger said...

Jack, my post is about the accusation of Gingrich hypocrisy. What does you response have to do with that? Are you trying to be another POV?

Jack said...

It speaks to hypocrisy directly. You imply that Gingrich shouldn't be compared to Clinton.....Clinton was an ethics issue and Gingrich is a philandering issue. Right? But they are both ethically impaired and both had affairs. So the comparisons, and accusations of hypocrisy, are valid.

Blogger said...

That dingbat Susan Estrich just said on Fox that it was so hypocritical of Newt “who was having an affair” to be have headed up the impeachment of Clinton “for having an affair.” And what else do you suppose her students are learning from this University of California professor?

NewGuy said...

There are some liberals actually dumb enough to think the Clinton impeachment was "about sex". It was about perjury -a federal crime.

There are other liberals who know this and who have no way to defend the conduct. So, they spend their time spinning the story and convincing the ignorant that it's "about sex".

It's sometimes hard to tell which type of liberal you are dealing with....the dishonest? or the merely stupid.

Newts adultery, and his two divorces are certainly something that the voters have every right to consider when they elect their next president. I wish he didn't have this baggage to carry. On the other hand, he hasn't run this country so far in debt that it's unlikely we will recover in the foreseeable future. Given the choice between someone who is bankrupting the country and someone whose personal life is flawed, I will go with saving the country!

On your next sentence you answer it. Liberals have to be dishonest to defend the indefensible.
Newt has a technical violation called an ethics violation. How many charges did they throw at him and was it one that was complicated enough to hang on him? I don't remember the details. When liberals like Jack and others compare a technical violation to felony perjury and an impeachment (only the second one in our history I believe), there should be a law passed to stop liberals from even trying to develop analogies. Discerning disabled.
Clinton also lied as an attempt to violate the civil rights of a woman (Paula Jones).

Jack is once again trying to confuse the issue. Sexual relations between consenting adults are not the issue. Perjury is.

It was for the crime of perjury that the House impeached Clinton. However he was not removed from office as Democrats in the Senate saved him.

It is very likely Obama might be impeached and removed because of Fast and Furious or ACORN's voter fraud connections if the Republicans can get a majority in both Houses so he will not be saved as Clinton was.

The Wolf tells me this sill not happen as the race card will be played so that the impeachment of the first black President will not happen for political reasons no matter how well proven the guilt is.

Add Keystone pipeline to this one and you have the most incompetent executive-in-traing in the world. Obama couldn't qualify for the assistant to the assistant manager's job at Hardee's.

Isn't it written somewhere that Congressmen cannot be detained while Congress is in session? I might start supporting Paul now, just to get rid of the Democrat's TSA.

I saw this on another blog. I found the message funny as well as pretty much the truth.

I recently asked my neighbors little girl what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said she wanted to be President. Both of her parents are Liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, " if you were President what would be the first thing you would do"? She replied, I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people. Her parents beamed with pride. "wow... what a worthy goal".....I told her. "But you don't have to wait till your a President to do that! You can come over to my house to mow the lawn, pull weeds, trim my hedge, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to where the homeless guys hang out, and you can give them the $50 to use toward food and a new house. She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him/her the $50?" I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party". Her parents still aren't speaking to me.....

No matter how bad Obama is, the Obama sycophants will protect him. This one goes back to President Bush, not even knowing the amount W gave to charity. Bush syndrome must be like herpes of the brain... it never goes away.

Several days without a reply from Mike D regarding the disparity in treatment of the Blowing Rock Land Trade and Concealed Carry in Blowing Rock.

Can't have your cake and eat it too Mike D.

Something I've noticed about the land trade. Liberals simply stop responding to why they failed to say anything, one way or another, regarding the situation. Virginia Foxx supported the land grab, yet liberals were able to stop hunting. This conundrum is too much for liberals to digest so they simply refrain from talking about it.

Notice how I have silenced Mike D. He/they will wait for that particular post to disappear before again becoming active.

Look at the damage A Watauga Conservative conservatives have done to liberals over the past two years. We completly shut down the POVs, scared Williamson over on the Watch so bad he had to sensor posts, and now we are picking off the leftover scraps on this site who dare post anything remotely untruthful.

Good job folks. I'll be at the Wellness Center tomorrow working out even harder with knowledge that I won. I'll be wearing red.

I have stayed away from this thread because "35mm" and "Wide Screen" are so clearly not the same thing that the basic definition of "Wide Screen" is something wider than the industry standard 35mm film.

Now, to your point. You said "you sure pounced on the concealed carry issue". In fact, of 94 comments in the thread, I wrote only two of them, numbers 79 and 80. This hardly constitutes pouncing on an issue. But more importantly, in my two comments I never even mentioned Blowing Rock. One comment was a general comment about perceived voter apathy among conservatives, and the other was a general comment about firearms as a deterrent to crime. Of course, you probably already know this if your incomplete thoughts have not already raced forward to half-tackle hundreds of other ideas.

I can't promise that I'll see you at the Wellness Center, but if I'm in the neighborhood, I'll try to drop in, and I'll be sure to look for someone wearing red and racing from station to station, arguing with the apparatus about how many reps you've completed. :-P

If I see you, I'll surely come shake your hand, Rico.

Game. Set. Match.

Mike D,

Might your "Rainsford" be from the short story "The Most Dangerous Game"? If so, refer to the last line of that text - "On guard Rainsford!"

Mike D. said...

Good try, but Your attention span prevented you from reaching the actual last line of the story. Here is the real end:

"The general sucked in his breath and smiled. "I congratulate you," he said. "You have won the game."

Rainsford did not smile. "I am still a beast at bay," he said, in a low, hoarse voice. "Get ready, General Zaroff."

The general made one of his deepest bows. "I see," he said. "Splendid! One of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very excellent bed. On guard, Rainsford..."

He had never slept in a better bed, Rainsford decided."

Oh Rico, Rico. Sadly, you are little more than a snack for the hounds. And now I shall take a nap in this very excellent bed.

Game over.

Yours truly,
Michael Garibaldi
