Reagan was right. Too bad some Reagan admirers decided to trash Reagan's legacy during the last election. It got us another 4 years of Obama and his radical Leftists.

Reagan's 12th Commandment: "Deficits only matter when the President is a Democrat."

The entrenched Democrat Congress never provided the promised spending cuts. Watch it happen again. And again.

Anonymous- I wonder if Reagan ever said- never take the word of a Democrat.

"In 1982, Reagan agreed to increase some excise taxes on a promise from House Speaker Tip O’Neill that every dollar increase in tax revenue would be matched by 3 dollars in spending cuts. Famously, O’Neill reneged. So much for compromise: When later asked again to raise some taxes, Reagan would reply, “I’m still waiting for those spending cuts.”- Forbes

Reagan was the best President of the modern era. Even he made mistakes. The amnesty bill was one. This statement is another. Fortunately it no longer applies to me as I am no longer a member of the dieing Republican party.
