Boone Plans Another Secret Meeting for Wednesday May 1

The Boone Central Planning Bunch have apparently decided that a good strategy is to NOT meet with the county for over a month and then, AFTER the county has submitted the Sales Tax changes to Raleigh and the deadline has passed, to call another SECRET meeting! Yeah, that will do the trick!

A new twist.....Boone has now decided to add "threat of "adminstrative action" by the county as justification for holding a closed session. See Wat Dem Article Here....

According to the Dem article the town wants to consult with their attorney to "consider and give instructions concerning the handling and settlement of threatened judicial and administrative actions by the Watauga County Commission Chairman against the Town."
I still can't help but think that the only justification for secrecy is if the town is planning a suit against the county.

I agree. Boone will sue the county, not the other way around. This is the reason for avoiding a public hearing.
