THE DIFFERENCE

The political shock people are feeling might be caused by how politicians see themselves and how that difference makes them act once in office. The first hint was the questioner in a town hall meeting in Richmond, I think during the Bush 41 election. The questioner asked the candidate to think of himself as our parent and what would he do about.... something, I don't remember what. The candidate ( Bush 41 I think ) went on to answer the question as if he were the parent. Many people who run for office think of themselves as different from the people who elected them. They feel the responsibility of being a parent or leader. Today, the Richmond guy-type, saw his parents arguing. Shummer and Pelosi don't think certain things should be discussed in front of the children (us) as she hinted at today. All political parties and most elected officials consider themselves as parental leaders. President Trump does not. He sees himself for what he is, a man who ran a business dealing with politicians, regulation, and taxes. He, as a private citizen for 70 years, didn't see himself as his employee's parent, even though government regulations forces an employer to be parental. They were there to make him money and in turn make money for themselves.

He is the first President in my lifetime who thinks of himself as "one of us". "One of  us" not meaning of the same political stripe, but equal in responsibility and equal as an individual. He Tweets directly to us, he doesn't think we need to have a filtered message like Bernstein said we do.

This is a shock to those who see themselves as a President's children like the guy from Richmond and as Pelosi who doesn't think the children should see the adults talking legislation, like today. It is normal for President Trump to do these things in the open because he sees himself on an equal footing with those who put him in office and even those who didn't vote for him. He's not a politician, he's one of us.

What happened to Mexico paying for the 4th century solution to a modern day problem?

The wall is an extremely expensive, non effective solution to the needed immigration reform.

Already, Polititard 5:52 AM is so upset he can't even post on the correct thread as his feelings are so hurt because his perceived parents were arguing in front of him. He probably didn't even wake up in a dry bed this morning. He thinks his parents were acting like children.

Then his mommy commented on his mean old daddy's manhood. Somewhat adult language in front of the children from this hypocrite mommy who says she does not believe in being a sexist. In fact, she tries to teach her children that if someone doesn't agree with and support her, they are sexist pigs.

And Polititard 7:36 AM same thing again. Get those tears of fear out of your eyes so you can read lil feller.

You have a real gift for Dickishness, but what happened to Mexico paying for this stupid demagoguery?

Sarkazein said...

You and your Mommy Pelosi seem obsessed with male genitalia. You wrote at 8:12 AM- "You have a real gift for Dickishness (sic)..."

Another Democrat congressman on FOX this morning said legislation should not be done in front of the unwashed masses (the children). Last week one congresswoman said the Democrat leaders (parents) were too much smarter than everyone else and the masses could not even comprehend what they are saying.

Why do I believe your comment is lacking truthful details of what was actually said? supplying factual information is not something Conservatives do well.

Any Conservative,

What happened to Mexico paying for a fourth century solution to a modern day problem which includes, global trade, airplanes, and tourism?

Rep. Ted Lieu (D., Calif.) said he would "love to be able to regulate the content of speech" during an interview Wednesday, noting he was prevented from doing that by the First Amendment.- David Rutz Free Beacon

"HE" would love to be able to regulate speech for the unwashed masses/children.

There’s a difference between believing there should be some consequences for lying to the public and censorship of factual information as The Trump Administration is currently doing. The most recent being a letter to government employees ordering them not to disclose factual information which is in opposition to The Conservative agenda of greed at any cost to society, taxpayers or the environment.

Funny how when the wall went up along the border in the late 90s that crossings dropped. The wall has proven to work time and again, yet detractors say it doesn't. These same detractors have no solution other than to whine and complain. Removing the 50 million illegal aliens already in the country is the starting point. If you're not willing to do that, and most RINOs aren't, then you're done.

Blogger and others in the Trump Cult,

"In my life, I have watched John Kennedy talk on television about missiles in Cuba. I saw Lyndon Johnson look Richard Russell squarely in the eye and and say, "And we shall overcome." I saw Richard Nixon resign and Gerald Ford tell the Congress that our long national nightmare was over. I saw Jimmy Carter talk about malaise and Ronald Reagan talk about a shining city on a hill. I saw George H.W. Bush deliver the eulogy for the Soviet bloc, and Bill Clinton comfort the survivors of Timothy McVeigh's madness in Oklahoma City. I saw George W. Bush struggle to make sense of it all on September 11, 2001, and I saw Barack Obama sing 'Amazing Grace' in the wounded sanctuary of Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

"These were the presidents of my lifetime. These were not perfect men. They were not perfect presidents, god knows. Not one of them was that. But they approached the job, and they took to the podium, with all the gravitas they could muster as appropriate to the job. They tried, at least, to reach for something in the presidency that was beyond their grasp as ordinary human beings. They were not all ennobled by the attempt, but they tried nonetheless.

"And comes now this hopeless, vicious buffoon, and the audience of equally hopeless and vicious buffoons who laughed and cheered when he made sport of a woman whose lasting memory of the trauma she suffered is the laughter of the perpetrators. Now he comes, a man swathed in scandal, with no interest beyond what he can put in his pocket and what he can put over on a universe of suckers, and he does something like this while occupying an office that we gave him, and while endowed with a public trust that he dishonors every day he wakes up in the White House.

"The scion of a multigenerational criminal enterprise, the parameters of which we are only now beginning to comprehend. A vessel for all the worst elements of the American condition. And a cheap, soulless bully besides. We never have had such a cheap counterfeit of a president* as currently occupies the office. We never have had a president* so completely deserving of scorn and yet so small in the office that it almost seems a waste of time and energy to summon up the requisite contempt.

"Watch how a republic dies in the empty eyes of an empty man who feels nothing but his own imaginary greatness, and who cannot find in himself the decency simply to shut up even when it is in his best interest to do so. Presidents don't have to be heroes to be good presidents. They just have to realize that their humanity is our common humanity, and that their political commonwealth is our political commonwealth, too.

Watch him behind the seal of the President of the United States. Isn't he a funny man? Isn't what happened to that lady hilarious? Watch the assembled morons cheer. This is the only story now."

Oh boy! I was hoping to get a liberal hack's opinion today from a cut and paste by a real live polititard.

Typical Conservatives, Fascist response of attacking the message. The Trump Administration is censoring scientific research information and the government employees responsible for America’s future health and safety. https://m.govexec.com/management/2018/08/federal-scientists-feel-stymied-censorship-politicization-and-departures/150541/

Show me one time in history where the "Fascists" were known for "attacking the message (messenger)". Then look up universities ban conservative speakers (messengers).

Pick nearly any of Trump’s Campaign speeches and watch him get his cult into a frenzy as he attacks professional journalist doing their job of informing the public with factual information and reporting on the President ‘s words, actions and in Trump’s case lies and demagoguery.

Sarkazein said...

That would be an opinion, not a historical fact. The university's treatment of Conservative speakers is historical fact. You remain this blog's polititard.

No, sir, that is a fact. You are this blogs leading liar and dissembler.
