Howard Dean on Tort Reform, Trial Lawyers and Health Care
i THOUGHT THE DEMOCRATS REALLY WANTED HEALTH CARE REFORM. DEAN REALLY EXPOSES THEY DON'T WANT IT BAD ENOUGH.
Card Check a Runaway Tank Slowed for Now
Well, today we scored a big victory on a crucial issue that looked impossible just a few months ago.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced that the outrageously mis-named Employee Free Choice Act -- or Card Check -- is NOT going to be brought to a vote this year!
Card Check
would effectively take the secret ballot away from American workers when it comes to deciding whether or not they want to join a union. It would take a cherished freedom away from millions of Americans, and at Americans for Prosperity we've been fighting it tooth-and-nail throughout the year.
A few months ago, President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and their Big Labor allies were confident of passing this legislation, which would dramatically expand the power of unions by giving them millions of new union members along with their "forced dues."

Becoming Road Kill Working For Obama

Obama tells Holder not to investigate the past administration. Holder does it anyway. Most informed people warn Holder he is undermining the CIA. Lacking good intelligence, we get attacked by El Queda. Even though everyone knows Holder had a green light from the top, Obama can claim he told Holder not to. Holder goes under the bus.
Meanwhile, Leon Panetta, had been promised the administration would not screw up his agency with investigations. Holder does it anyway, and Panetta heads straight to the source of his betrayal, the White House. Rumor has it they had already contacted Panetta’s replacement. Panetta, under the bus.
Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Resources is sent out to Sunday talk shows to float the idea of no government controlled health care. The Left goes nuclear. The White House declares she misspoke, leaving the impression she isn’t even in the loop.
Tammy Duckworth, Assistant Secretary of Veterans Affairs is sent out to Sunday talk shows to defend the VA “death book.” She has been rehearsed, probably by Press Secretary Gibbs, to declare the book is in revision. It isn’t. It’s in use. She looks like a liar. Duckworth, under the bus.
Obama appoints his Secretaries of Departments. Then he undercuts them with 30 plus czars each of whom can be mischief makers for those who were suppose to be have authority.
How would you like to work for a boss like Obama?

Culture of Death Infiltrates the Veteran's Administration
BE SURE TO CATCH TOWRY’S POINT THAT IT IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY TO BE DOING THIS.
FROM MY PSYCHOLOGIST POINT OF VIEW, THE DOCUMENT IS LIKE HYPNOTIC SUGGESTION. WHEN YOU FINISH CHECKING, YOU COULD CONCLUDE THAT YOU ARE JUST IN THE WAY.
TO YOU LIBERALS, THE REASON WE BECOME ALARMED IS THAT WITH ABORTION ,YOU HAVE ALREADY CONVINCED US THAT YOU CAN BE SO CASUAL ABOUT OFFING THE UNWANTED.
Reader Matt Contributes to Health Care Debate
I read this on another blog today and thought it was pretty funny:
The United States is going to pass a health care plan:
written by a committee, whose head says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it,
signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes,
overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and
financed by a country that's nearly broke.
What could possibly go wrong?
To which Sarkazein responded: That would be funny if it were not so true.

Health Care Reform--Camel's Nose in Tent

Just sent this to Senator Hagan:
Dear Senator Hagan, As I am sure you are aware by now, the town hall people have found their way to the core issue. This is no longer about health care. It is about a government that is hell bent to take over our lives. In their intuitive wisdom, the people have cut through all the dissimulation.
They have learned the Arab proverb "Beware of the camel's nose.” As one writer observed: “It is the humble petition of the camel, who only asks that he may put his nose into the traveler's tent. It is so pitiful, so modest, that we must needs relent and grant it." And the parable ends with the moral: "It is a wise rule to resist the beginnings of evil." For us, the evil is the government run “option.”
I am counting on you to listen to the people. I once lived in Nicaragua under the dictator Somoza about whom President Franklin Roosevelt once proclaimed: “He is a son-of-a-bitch, but he is our son-of-a-bitch.
Please don’t let yourself get forced into that same position. You could easily find yourself saying about the left who now control your party, “They are sons of bitches, but they are my son-of-bitches.”

Montana Town Hall. Who Are These People? And Who Is I?
Most of you have already seen this and I had hoped to get a shorter version of just the first 2 minutes. But, did you notice only about five hand claps when the man said he was an NRA member? This was suppose to be Montana. So, who the hell were all those non-cheering people in the audience?
Secondly, Obama answered: "You are absolutely right. "I" can't cover another 46 million people for free." "Since he uses the word "I" and not "your government", it sounds like he was originally planning to pay for it out of his own pocket.

Gibbs and Garrett Argue Over Email from White House
The worst part for me about this interchange was that Gibbs is totally unaware that he was making Garrett's very point. Garrett is telling him that people are asking where the White House got their e-mail addresses? How did they get on a White House list?
Gibbs then says, send me their names so I can investigate. Anyone with ears to hear would have heard that Gibbs was saying "Send me those fishy letters Major Garrett."
GARRETT'S EXPRESSION SAYS IT ALL. HE HEARD GIBBS LOUD AND CLEAR. GIBBS OBVIOUSLY DID NOT HEAR HIMSELF! Or did he?

Today's Rasmussen Poll Reveals Independents Waking Up
Sixty-two percent (62%) of UNAFFILIATED voters now oppose the health care plan, and 51% are strongly opposed. This marks an uptick in strong opposition among both Republicans and unaffiliateds,
OPPONENTS INTENSELY STRONGLY OPPOSE; THOSE IN FAVOR ARE LUKEWARM
44% of all voters strongly oppose the health care reform effort versus 26% who strongly favor it.
44% of Democratic voters strongly favor the reform effort, 70% of GOP voters are strongly opposed to it.
TAX USERS FAVOR, BUT TAX PAYERS OPPOSE
Sixty-seven percent (67%) of those under 30 favor the plan while 56% of those over 65 are opposed. Among senior citizens, 46% are strongly opposed.
My brief response to Rasmussen’s findings:
Now we finally have the vast majority of Americans realizing this plan is a disaster. So, what’s with these Democrats? If this many Americans are this smart, how can that many Democrats be that stupid?
I am thinking Democrats are caught in a bind. By now many of them have to be having second thoughts. At the same time, as a party they cannot afford to fizzle on this. In the town halls, the Democrats are making it clear. They will serve their party.

Watch. 50 of them could decide for the whole country and for the sake of the party, ram it through. Then, they will gamble on the economy picking up by election time and the people getting over their rage.

To Senator Hagan on Town Halls
Senator Hagan, This morning I watched Senator Arnold Specter’s town hall. What was so obvious was what we all out here already knew, but you people in Washington can not believe.
The people attending these forums are the real thing. They were incredibly well informed and their questions ranged across the spectrum of concerns and frustrations we all are having with our government.
When you plan your meetings, I hope you will think of the following: When we e-mail or write to you, we will get back a form letter. We don’t know whether you have read our concerns or not. On the other hand, when we have you right there in front of us, we know you are hearing at least some of what we say.
Town halls then, need to be a time of you listening to your constituents and not you further angering us by demonstrating you would rather listen to yourself. We have heard you. Now is our turn.
The town halls are demonstrating that many constituents are at least as informed, and sometimes more informed, than their representatives.
Some of your colleagues are blowing a great opportunity to hear what the voters really know and feel.

Only 25% Agree With Pelosi That Health Insurers are 'Villains'

In their desperation to find someone to demonize, the Democrats latest demonization was the insurance companies. A current Rasmussen Poll reveals they are wasting their time because only 25% Agree With Pelosi That Health Insurers are 'Villains'.

White House Asking You to Turn in Your Neighbor
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
The blogosphere naturally has gone wild, including in their comment sections. These are just a few samples. Of course there are many more.

Barney Frank Admits Public Option is Stealth Single Payer
Democrats try to camouflage the Socialist single payer option by saying all they want is a public option. The powerful Barney Frank does not even try to fool us.
