In 2010 the voters of Watauga County elected nearly a 100% slate of Republicans to office. A conservative county with a liberal university population in it's center - Watauga was represented at the state level by two liberal Democrats...each of whom earned their "F" grades on the Civitas conservative scale. We are now represented by two conservatives - more reflective of the permanent population of the county.

The recent Civitas Conservative rankings of our State Senator and our State Representative have both of them solidly in the Conservative column! While Watauga Conservatives might not agree with EVERY vote cast by either of these gentlemen, they have certainly lived up to their campaign promises of bringing fiscal responsibility and conservative principals to Raleigh.

Thanks for asking, but I am sure my response will disappoint you. In my guts, I wish Cain would just fade away.
